A former elementary school teacher, Elma Leona Marvin born Jan. 11, 1909, in Ferndale, Wash., and had lived in Clark County for 80 years.
There will be no service. Burial will be in Park Hill died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, at home. She was 96.
Mrs. Miller, died in 1985; a son, Daniel J., died in 1931; another daughter, Helen Clyde, died in 1996.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty J. McBain of Brush Prairie, and Shirley G. Kuehl and Anita C. Miler, both of Vancouver; a stepdaughter, Caroline J. Rice of Vancouver; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Hazel Dell Seventh-day Adventist Church and loved to collect birds.
The casket will be open from noon to 5 p.m. today at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. A funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Hockinson Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, followed by burial in Park Hill Cemetery for Edith M. Turner, who born Feb. 18, 1909, in Inkster, N.D., and had lived in Clark County for 60 years.
Her maiden name was Johnson.
Her husband of 50 years, Roy, died in 2001.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret De Grande of Washougal; one stepdaughter, Lillian Hoppman of Fond du Lac, Wis.; two sons, Robert D. of Battle Ground and Billy P. of Ocean Shores, Wash.; one sister, Thelma Lindberg of Galt, Calif.; one brother, Royal Johnson of North Dakota; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Paul D. Ylvisaker Sr.

A private graveside service will be at Willamette National died of complications of leukemia Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002, in Portland. He was 76.
Mr. Ylvisaker was died Monday, Nov. 26, 2002, at The Lexington House in Vancouver. She was 95.
Mrs. Claussen was died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, in Vancouver. He was 65.
Mr. Dees was Cemetery for Roger Lewis Hallingstad, who born May 15, 1926, in Deer Lodge, Mont., and lived in Vancouver for 37 years.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lois, at home; and one brother, Duane Hallingstad of Deer Lodge.
Mr. Hallingstad, a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, loved fixing and repairing things. A member of the Vancouver Heights Neighborhood Association, he enjoyed feeding squirrels and birds.
The casket will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.

Mary L. Hammond

A 1995 Evergreen High School graduate Mary L. Hammond born June 22, 1977, in Long Beach, Calif., and lived nearly all her life in Clark County.
She was a member of Brush Prairie Baptist Church and enjoyed dancing, music and outdoor activities.
Survivors include her parents, Fran and Tip Hammond of Vancouver; one daughter, Maci L. Hammond-Jones, at home; three brothers, Joseph P. Hammond and Daniel J. Hammond, both of Vancouver, and Mark D. Hammond of Tacoma; and grandmothers, Gladys E. Skrison of Brush Prairie and Mitsue Hammond of Olympia.
A service will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Brush Prairie Baptist Church. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

A 15-year Vancouver resident, Frank Jerome LaRoche, born Jan. 16, 1914, in East Providence, R.I.
Survivors include two sons, David Clark of Yacolt and Frank J. LaRoche of Palos Verdes, Calif.

Gertrude T. Miller

Gertrude Theresa Miller, who lived in the Vancouver area the past 76 years, born Oct. 2, 1906, in Danzig, Prussia, was a homemaker.
Her maiden name was Singer.
Her husband, Daniel J., died in 1936; a daughter, Edith Miller died in 2000; and a stepdaughter, Janice Doreen, Cemetery. Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
