His wife, Khai Nguyen, died at home Monday, Aug. 2, 2004.
Mrs. Walsh was died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in Vancouver. He was 74.
Mr. Watson was death.
Mr. Watson had developed many commercial properties including Parkway North Health Care, Tiger Bowl and the Winery Restaurant in Hazel Dell.
Mr. Watson liked to ski, swim, boat, hunt and fish.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground.
George R. Becker

George "Ace" Robert Becker, a 1945 Battle Ground High School graduate, born April 1, 1927, in Portland and lived in Vancouver since 1932.
Mr. Becker was a member of the Meat Cutters Union, Local 555. He worked at Valley Farms and retired from Keils Food Store. He enjoyed woodworking, construction and working on engines.
Survivors include his wife, Anna J., at home; two daughters, Patty Huether of Brush Prairie and Katie Rood of Washougal; three sons, Phil of Woodland and Andrew and John, both of Vancouver; one sister, Margaret Cocklin of Vancouver; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.
Gertrude Beedle
Longview
A service for Gertrude Beedle, who died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, in Vancouver. She was 78.
She was died in 1989.
She is survived by her brother, Duane Liddle of Vancouver.
A funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.

Mildred F. Burch

There will be a private service for Mildred Faye Burch, a 90-year-old homemaker, who born March 30, 1914, in New Castle, Wyo.
She enjoyed gardening and reading and was a sports enthusiast.
Her husband, Jim M., died in 1981.
Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Wilcox of Vancouver; one sister, Ruth Pearson of Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Goldie E. Duvall

A funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Battle Ground Community United Methodist Church for Goldie E. Duvall, 89, who born Nov. 20, 1914, in Nowlin, S.D. Her maiden name was Mower. She lived in Clark County for 50 years.
Mrs. Duvall was a member of Battle Ground Community United Methodist Church, Rock Creek Grange and the American Association of Retired Persons. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafts, gardening and reading. She was a fan of the Mariners and Trail Blazers.
Her husband, Lester, Cemetery in Battle Ground. The casket will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground.

Herbert E. Engstrom Jr.

Herbert Edward Engstrom Jr., a lifetime resident of Clark County, born Feb. 1, 1935, in Portland.
Mr. Engstrom, who graduated from Evergreen High School, was a coach with Columbia Little League. He enjoyed yard work, bowling and watching hockey.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Darlene, at home; two daughters, Wendy Josephsen of Vancouver and Brenda Colburn of Sisters, Ore.; three sons, Timothy, Troy and Kevin, all of Vancouver; his parents, Vida and Herbert Engstrom of Vancouver; one brother, Richard of Portland; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
A funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, followed by burial in Park Hill died June 11, 2004, at Ray Hickey Hospice House.
Mrs. Holmes was died in 1997.
Survivors include three nieces, Laura Harper of Bend, Ore., Rebecca Seibly of Bakersfield, Calif., and Diane Mazochi of Connecticut; and six nephews, William Niskanen of Virginia, David Niskanen and Paul Niskanen, both of Portland, Richard Scott of Quesnel, B.C., Grant Niskanen of New Hampshire and Gary Niskanen of Maryland.
A graveside service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Frank Abel died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. He was 80.
Mr. Humes, who lived in Vancouver for the past 55 years, was born March 19, 1924, in Sawyer, N.D.
Mr. Humes was a member of Western Wood Carvers Association and Washington Old Time Strings. He loved to dance and travel. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Violet M., at home; two sons, Raymond E. of Bremerton and Alan L. of Camas; one sister, Betty Krause of Olympia; three brothers, Les, Leo and Leon, all of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel.
