James C. Featherly

James Charles Featherly, who had worked in home construction for many years, died in 1990, and two children also preceded him in born Sept. 12, 1919, in Forsyth, Mont.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilou Cassidy and Laurie Featherly, both of Vancouver, and Jeanne Cullen of Portland; one son, Jim of Portland; one sister, Marion Smith of Arlington, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Featherly, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, loved playing the harmonica and telling stories. He liked traveling in his motorhome and enjoyed fishing.
A memorial Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, followed by private inurnment. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Friday, July 30, 2004, at home of emphysema. He was 65.
Mr. Frost was died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in a Vancouver care center. He was 87.
Mr. Neuschwanger was Cemetery in Bethel, Ore. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Macy & Son Funeral Directors in McMinnville, Ore., are in charge of arrangements.

Hillie Stoker
Battle Ground
Hillie Stoker, who lived in Clark County for the past 39 years, born Feb. 22, 1919, in Appelscha, Friesland, The Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1948.
Her husband, Hans, died in 1972, she returned to school and earned three master's degrees. She taught German at Prairie and Fort Vancouver high schools. She was a member of Cherry Grove Friends Church and led many Bible studies. Mrs. Stoker enjoyed gardening, knitting, reading and helping others.
The casket will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground. A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Genevieve L. Bennett
Seaside, Ore.
Former Vancouver resident Genevieve L. Bennett, 83, born Sept. 11, 1920, in Norfolk, Neb. She lived in Vancouver from 1962 to 2002 before moving to Seaside.
She attended Clarkson School of Nursing in Omaha, Neb., and trained as a nurse anesthetist in Minneapolis. Mrs. Bennett worked as a nurse anesthetist for more than 50 years and retired from Bess Kaiser Hospital in Portland in 1983.
She enjoyed playing pinochle.
Survivors include one daughter, Jeannette LaLonde of Gearhart, Ore.; two sons, Edward of Chesapeake, Va., and Vincent of Boston, Mass.; three sisters, Marilyn McHarness of Portland, Harriet Miller of Seattle and Jeannette Will of Diamond Bar, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Daniel L. Bokovitz

Daniel Louis Bokovitz, an industrial cutting-tools salesman, born Nov. 19, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio.
Survivors include his mother, Mildred Bokovitz of Parma, Ohio; one son, Daniel J. of Battle Ground; and two brothers, Robert of Fort Collins, Colo., and Martin Jr. of Parma, Ohio.
Mr. Bokovitz was a member of the Moose Lodge in Dollars Corner. He enjoyed music, camping, fishing and reading. He liked to watch sports and enjoyed movies starring John Wayne.
There will be a private memorial service. Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.
Matilda E. Crain
Vancouver
Matilda "Ellie" Eleanor Crain, 68, born June 15, 1937, in Mora, N.M., and lived in Clark County for 12 years. Her maiden name was Gandert.
Survivors include her husband, Jim D., at home; two sons, Larry T. and J. Mat, both of Vancouver; and four grandchildren.
Mrs. Crain loved watching her grandchildren participate in sports.
A service will begin at noon Thursday at St. James Catholic Church.
Gregory L. Hammel
Vancouver
A 14-year Clark County resident, Gregory Lynn Hammel died in 1991.
Mr. Hammel was died of prostate cancer Sept. 1, 2004, at home.
Mr. Larkin was died in 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Roxanne; two sons, Richard M. and Sandy, both of La Center; one stepson, Brian Bowers of Camas; three sisters, Rebecca, Frances and Patricia, all of Portland; two brothers, Alan of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wallace of Portland; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at the Summit Grove Lodge in La Center.
Ethel L. Lawhead
Vancouver
Ethel L. Lawhead, who worked at Humphrey's Dry Cleaners for many years, born April 12, 1920, in Camas and lived in Clark County all her life. Her maiden name was Guffnett.
Survivors include one daughter, Cherie Dellinger of Vancouver; two brothers, Robert Guffnett of Washougal and Leo Guffnett of Sacramento, Calif.; one grandchild; and three grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fisher died Sept. 1, 2004, in Vancouver. He was 48.
Mr. McGreevey was born March 23, 1956, in Portland.
He loved camping and fishing in Montana.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela McGreevey and Mara Pessa, both of Vancouver; three sons, Patrick, Joshua and Jacob, all of Vancouver; four sisters, Julie Daly, Catherine McGreevey and Laura Johnson, all of Vancouver, and Kerry Oldenburg of Mercer Island, Wash.; and one brother, James "Jamie" of Vancouver.
There will be a private service. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
