A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Marilyn Jane Neal, a homemaker who born Dec. 22, 1946, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and lived in Vancouver for the past four years.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Michael, at home; her parents, Winifred and Allan Benson of Burlington, Ontario, Canada; one daughter, Katherine Neal of Vancouver; one son, Gareth of Vancouver; and two sisters, Dale Kercheff of Akron, Ohio, and Karen Davis of Burlington.
There will be a private burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to any cancer foundation.
Betty Skillern

Betty Skillern, a homemaker, born Feb. 26, 1914, in Twin Falls, Idaho. She lived in Vancouver in the 1950s for about seven years and returned one and one-half years ago.
Her husband of 55 years, William F., died in 1994, and a daughter, Joanie Skillern, also preceded her in Cemetery.
Travis L. Sturdevant
Vancouver
Travis L. Sturdevant, a Vancouver resident since 1980, born Oct. 11, 1970, in La Grande, Ore.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Linda and Chuck Wilcox of Brush Prairie; one sister, Judith R. Sturdevant of Seattle; and grandparents, Lorraine Bledsoe of Pendleton, Ore., and Ellis B. Thompson of Lewiston, Idaho.
Mr. Sturdevant, a Ridgefield High School graduate, enjoyed boating, fishing and restoring cars.
He was artistic and liked making pen and pencil drawings. He also liked playing his guitar.
A memorial service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. His body was cremated.
Dwight L. Beckstrom
Vancouver
A physician and member of Zion Lutheran Church in Camas, Dwight L. Beckstrom born Dec. 20, 1949, in Fargo, N.D. He graduated from Highline High School in the Seattle area in 1969, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. In 1979, he earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Beckstrom worked for a number of years at the Vancouver Clinic and most recently for Family Urgent Care. He also volunteered at the Southwest Washington Free Clinic.
An Eagle Scout, he enjoyed gardening, classical music, reading, fishing and his children.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Myra, at home; two daughters, Rachel and Erin, both at home; one son, Ethan, at home; his parents, Victor and Ruth Beckstrom of Seattle; one sister, Julie Crane of Seattle; and two brothers, Bruce of Seattle and Scott of Vancouver.
A memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Adventist Medical Center in Portland.

A member of the Moose Lodge who enjoyed hunting and fishing, Thomas Duane Charlton, 68, born June 18, 1934, in Vancouver. He was retired.
Survivors include five daughters, Holly and Lisa Charlton, both of McCleary, Jennifer Stephens and Cinthia Martin, both of Vancouver, and Sherrie Doyle of Cleveland; one son, Tom Mooney of Dayton, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
The body will be cremated. No service will be held. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Hai P. Hang

A friendly person who enjoyed his studies, Hai Phuoc Hang, 20, born Dec. 31, 1981, in Vietnam and had lived in Vancouver five years.
Survivors include his mother, Thu Nguyen of Vancouver; sister, Huong Hang of Vancouver; brother, Huy Hang of Vancouver; and grandmother, Tsisuong Huong Cheim of Vietnam.

Lillie E. Mills

A private family service was held for Lillie E. "Polly" Mills, who born April 29, 1919, in Winona, Miss., and lived in Vancouver for three years. Her maiden name was Pullen.
She enjoyed karaoke and dancing.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan McCarver and Sandy Douglas, both of Vancouver; three sons, Jim and Jerry Salmon, both of Vancouver, and Jack M. Salmon of Paradise, Calif.; six sisters, Louise, Susan, Elaine, Connie, Corrine and Linda, all of Mississippi; and 20 grandchildren.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Raymond W. Newman

A former Clark County resident, Raymond Walter Newman, born July 22, 1919, in Ridgefield. He attended schools in Ridgefield and served in the Army during World War II.
He enjoyed the ocean, trips to Reno, Nev., and watching sports on TV.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl D., at home; one stepdaughter, Diane Chenoweth of Vancouver; three stepsons, Clifton Bottemiller of Mukilteo, Eldon Bottemiller of South Bend and Brian Bottemiller of Vancouver; and one brother, Marvin of Ryderwood.
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Willamette National died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in Vancouver.
Mr. Quinata was Cemetery in Portland.

Janice R. Voegele

A homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, reading and traveling to Arizona in the winter, Janice Rae Voegele, 65, born May 4, 1937, in Harrah, and had lived in Clark County 28 years.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Battle Ground, and enjoyed helping with Braille books and supporting her grandchildren in sporting events.
Survivors include her husband, Clinton, at home; two daughters, Marci Laverity of Gresham, Ore., and Mauren Blatner of Selah; two sons, Mark of La Center and Mitch of Scappoose, Ore.; her mother, Lois Noble of Spokane; one sister, Barb Bozo of Deer Park; one brother, Allen Noble of Yakima; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.
