Jeanette J. Beaird, a registered nurse and community volunteer and a 45-year resident of Vancouver, born Oct. 31, 1933, in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mrs. Beaird graduated from St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in Rockford, Ill., in 1954.
She worked as a nurse at St. Joseph Community Hospital, now Southwest Washington Medical Center, for 25 years. She last worked as director of nursing at Rose Vista Care Center. Mrs. Beaird retired in 1995.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and loved oil painting.
She also enjoyed golfing, flower and vegetable gardening, and canning.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ed, at home; four daughters, Patricia "Patti" Weihl of Battle Ground, Julie Hollenbach of Hillsboro, Ore., and Adreinne "Ady" Davis and Margaret Davis, both of Vancouver; one son, Steven of Portland; one sister, Velma Knoeber of Rockford, Ill.; one brother, Ed Renk of San Antonio; and 10 grandchildren.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday and Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The casket will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel.

Fredrick H. Bong

A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Fredrick Harold Bong, who born May 3, 1927, in Cochran, Ore. He was raised in La Center and lived his entire life in the Clark County area.
He worked for Quimby Welding Supply in Portland.
Mr. Bong was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for the past 10 years, and enjoyed bowling and watching sporting events.
His wife, Genevieve, preceded him in Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. He was 69.
Mr. Boni was Cemetery in Goldendale for Laurie Ann Braskett, who born Jan. 9, 1962, in Goldendale. Her maiden name was Shupe.
She loved attending garage sales, riding motorcycles and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of three years, Ron, at home; two sons, Bryce Bennett of Vancouver and Brent Bennett of Centerville; her mother, Margaret Shupe of Goldendale; three brothers, Don of Goldendale, Bob of Vancouver and Larry of Portland; and one grandson.
Erdman Funeral Home in Goldendale is in charge of arrangements.
VanEtta S. Daniel

VanEtta S. Daniel, a homemaker, born Oct. 13, 1949, in Portland.
Survivors include her husband, Murray Brown, at home; two daughters, Tina M. Drenkhahn Higdon of Camas and Nesha R. Mackmer of Portland; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Pullae of Seattle; two sons, David M. Fowler of Carson and Jason J. Fowler of Aberdeen; one sister, Patricia A. French of Eugene, Ore.; one brother, Danny R. Gebhart of Salem, Ore.; and 11 grandchildren.
A potluck gathering for family and friends will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Community Church in Camas. Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon is in charge of arrangements.
William R. Davis

William Ronald Davis, a pharmaceutical technician and former Vancouver resident, born Sept. 14, 1973, in Vancouver and lived in Clark County until moving to Portland three months ago.
He enjoyed the beach, working on computers and cars, and racing cars and motorcycles.
Survivors include his parents, Ronald and Suzanne Davis of Vancouver; and sister, Julia Lopez of Vancouver.
The casket will be open from 5 to 8 tonight at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Hazel D. Fleckenstein

A funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church for Hazel "Cathy" Catherine McKinney Fleckenstein, who born Jan. 12, 1944, in Vancouver and attended schools in Kelso. She lived in Portland for 10 years before moving to Vancouver 34 years ago.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Larry, at home; two daughters, Lisa C. Whitten of Yacolt and Sara Fleckenstein-Irish of Camas; twin sons, Larry C. of Vancouver and Todd H. of Denver; her parents, Mercile and Dewayne McKinney of Longview; two sisters, Carol Schwitzke of Kelso and Patricia Heim of Vancouver; and three grandchildren.
died of cancer Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at home. She was 76.
Mrs. Hudson was died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, in Vancouver. She was 77.
Mrs. Ives, a homemaker, was died Oct. 14, 2004, in Everett after a brief illness. She was 80.
