Arlene Elizabeth Perez
Arlene Elizabeth Perez born on April 10, 1933 in Los Angeles California. She moved to Washington in the late 60’s with her children in tow, she moved to Lynwood, West Seattle and finally settled in Renton where she lived for 20 plus years.
The best part of Arlene’s life was all of her children, grand and great grandchildren, antiques and of course all of her friends. Many of her friends she had in the Renton business community that she frequently visited, (OK everyday)! LOL. Arlene will be dearly missed by her friend’s but mostly her family. She was loved by all who knew her. Arlene was an awesome mother and friend.

There will be a remembrance of Arlene’s life on September 5, 2015, 1:00 pm, at her home. After the remembrance there will be a pot luck lunch, so please bring your favorite dish and share some memories with all.
Savoy, Denise
Denise Savoy Born July 18, 1952 in Southern California, summer of 1967 the family moved to Renton, WA. Denise graduated from Hazen High School 1970, earned her degree in Speech Therapy from Central WA. University and her Master’s Degree from Eastern WA. University. Denise taught in the Clarkston School District for 22 years until her retirement in 1994.
Denise is survived by her parents Donald Savoy (Mary) and Dolores Savoy; children Heidi Savoy-Striebeck and Jesse Savoy-Striebeck; sisters Dawn Kraft and Diane Carlisle; nephews Erik Kraft, Ryan Carlisle, Travis Carlisle, and great niece Madison Carlisle and numerous extended family.
She was a kind and gentle soul who loved her family above all else. We will miss her phone calls 'hey sweetie'.
Lottie Calhoun
Lottie Calhoun, 90, of Renton born August 7, 1925 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
She was preceded in passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 10, 2015 at his home in Renton. He was death by his mother, Bonnie. Special thanks to his friends Renee and Reed who treated him as a member of their family.
Paul also leaves behind a large community of friends and co-workers in the Renton area who will miss his generosity, singing, storytelling, and jovial spirit. Friends are planning to honor Paul’s memory at Uncle Mo’s in Renton on Sunday, September 13th at 4:00 pm. Family burial plans will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
Aashiem, Wallace L.
Wallace (Wally) L. Aashiem of Renton, WA born on August 26, 1934 in Bottineau, ND to Joseph and Mabel Aasheim. He was one of ten siblings, Jean, Arlene (deceased), Jim, Lester (deceased), Leroy, Dorothy, Billy, Clayton, Glen (deceased). His wife Pat precedes Wally in passed away in her sleep August 5, 2015. She was married John McGoldrick on August 20, 1946. They had five children.
Marion is predeceased by her husband John and son Johnny. She is survived by her brother Fred Miller; daughters Kathleen Adams, Mary Ann Trudeau, Shirley Vormsberg-Markov and Donna Munson; son-in-laws Frank Adams and Scott Munson. Marion had nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Marion resided at Grace Gentle Care in Bellevue since January 2010. The family would like to give her caregivers, Mike and Diane a special Thank You for the loving care she received. Funeral Services were held on August 12, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Park Funeral Home. She lived a very long (almost 100 yrs), healthy, and happy life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace Mom!
Vernon S. Millmann
Vernon S. Millmann, 80, of Roseburg, Oregon, died March 9, 2016 at Roseburg, Oregon.
Vernon served in the U.S. Air Force and was preceded in married Roseburg in 1984, three daughters and one son, Susan (Brian) Sargent of Woodinville, WA, Beverly Millmann of Seattle, WA, Anne Carter of Renton, WA; one son, David Millmann of Renton, WA; five grandchildren, Erich (Lauren) Ocean, Kevin (Wendi) Boden, Jenny (Brandon) Haggard, Kai (Michael) Herrera, and Brandon Millmann; twelve great-grandchildren, Caleb, Pascal, Atlas Ocean; Tyra, Isaiah, Oliver, Lydia, Parker, Josiah Boden; Brady, Bryce, Brooke Haggard, and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The passed away at the age of 78.
He was died of lung cancer on February 9, 2016. He was 64.
Don enjoyed water and snow skiing, and scuba diving in the Carribean. He also loved racing mini hydros. He loved football and was an avid Seahawks fan.
Don was death by a sister, Edith Lenora (Dolly) 1945, his parents, Joseph Wolf 1996, and Margaret Wolf 2000. Surviving family members are, Joseph Wolf Jr., Merrilou Gronholdt (Dennis), Thomas Wolf (Julie), Daniel Wolf, and Neal Wolf (Marissa), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be March 26, 2016, from 12:00 to 3:00 at Eagles 2298, 702 M ST. SE. Auburn. Buffet lunch. In lieu of flowers, do something nice for someone and think of Don when you do.
John McTigue
On February 20, 2016, John Henry McTigue born November 18, 1920, in Bowman, N.D., the son of Patrick Henry and Irene Anna (Ruppert) McTigue. He grew up in Glendive, Mont., and graduated from Dawson County High School with the class of 1939. John enlisted in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during WWII, serving in North Africa and participating in the invasion of Sicily. Following an honorable discharge from the Army, John moved to Washington and attended Seattle University, majoring in electrical engineering. He then began a career with the FAA, from which he retired after 28 years of employment.

He is remembered with love by his sister Beth Welsh; son Larry; daughters Claudia McTigue, Patricia, and Christine Reid; grandchildren Shanti Nguyen, Julia (Jack Urbach) Ryan, Michèle (Josh) Leitz, Lisa (fiancé John Peterson) Geffre; and Jon (Roxanne & daughter MaKenna) Reid; great-grandchildren Shalyn, Eden and Kira; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Providence Mount St. Vincent Chapel located at 4831 35th Ave S.W. in Seattle, with Father Abraham Miller officiating. A reception will immediately follow at the Renton Senior Activity Center located at 211 Burnett Avenue N. in Renton. A private Cemetery in Kent.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to a cancer research charity of your choice.
Willie Tyrone Hooks
August 26, 1955 - February 29, 2016
Willie T. Hooks left this earth in a blink of an eye on Leap Day 2016 after taking a walk on the Cedar River Trail in Renton, WA. He moved from Sheffield, AL to Seattle, WA when he was 8, with his mother Nell Pritchett (dec.) and 5 sisters: Yvonne, Norah, El-May (Minnie), Deborah (Day-Day), and Nell Elizabeth (dec.). His older brothers Judge and George moved to this area later.
Willie grew up near Garfield High School and played basketball with the 'Superdogs' team. He retired from Boeing after 33 years. Willie is survived by his wife April, children Jeremiah (Michelle), Nehemiah and Genova (Stefan), and 5 grandchildren.
Memorial services Saturday, March 19 at 11 a.m., Seed of Abraham Pentecostal Church located 246 N Wells, Renton, WA 98055 where Willie was an elder of long standing.
John Edward Kuney
John Edward Kuney was died February 24, 2016.
A Renton native, John loved his hometown and his many friends there. Although John suffered injuries and illness that left him severely handicapped, his friends recall that he was always up for any adventure and had a droll comment to share. He will be missed for his wry sense of humor, his kindness and his amazing life force.
He leaves behind a lifetime of loyal friends, numerous adoring ladies who were fellow patients, and father Charles Kuney of Renton, brother Nelson Kuney of Renton, brother Charles Kuney, Jr. of Florida, twin brother Joseph Kuney of Federal Way and sister Michelle Moodie of Federal Way.

Joseph Barton Reich was death by his parents, George and Esther Reich; sisters, Diane and Jackie; and brothers, Gary, Jon and Jeff.
Military Honors will be held, Monday, February 29, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Service directed by Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
