John is survived by two older brothers Frank and Greg. John was a true character & had many friends who loved him. Generosity to others, love of plants and collecting were his passions. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Elsie Olene Chissus-Hill

Elsie was a resident of Renton for over 65 years. She death by her first husband, Dave Chissus, second husband, Ted Hill, and beloved daughter Vicky Sherman. She leaves behind daughters Suzy (Jon) Chicago, Lisa (Al) Lynnwood, son Scott (Linda) Seabeck and son-in-law Larry Sherman of Belfair. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brother Niels (Gail) Anchorage and sister Miggie of Mercer Island.
A Memorial Service will be held:Tuesday, August 23rd at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1024 Monroe Ave NE, Renton, WA 98056. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in her memory to the above church.

Gayle L. Raychel of Renton, sister to Sharon and Mark, passed away July 30, 2016.
Graveside service with military honors 3:00 pm Friday, August 12, 2016, at Tahoma National passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, WA. She was death by her parents Loraine and Burl Elliott. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob Strain from Renton, WA; her children, Tawnya Strain from New Mexico and Rob and Jen Strain from Shelton, WA. She is also survived by her grandson, Robbie Strain of Shelton and her sisters, Patti Wills and Brenda Gold, both from Vancouver. Joyce had nieces, nephews and many cousins who cherished her and numerous friends who loved her dearly.
A memorial service for our Joyce will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, WA at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016, followed by a reception on site. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
John (Jack) V. Ahearn, Jr.
John (Jack) Ahearn, Jr. (93) of Renton, Born in Bremerton, WA, February 7, 1923 to John V. Ahearn, Sr and Goldie Hart Ahearn. Educated in Bremerton and graduated from UW with a B.S. in Engineering.
Worked at Bremerton Shipyards before going into Navy during WWII, serving on Guam where he worked on damaged ships repairing damaged radar and electrical systems.
After 32 years working for Boeing, he retired and took up wood carving. He was very proud to have become a Master Carver and won many ribbons for his beautiful bird carvings.
Jack is survived by his wife of 32 years, the former Marilyn Huffaker, 3 daughters, Kathleen Gapasin, Cynthia Herberg and Diane Pinon; 3 step children, David Christ, Linda Reece and Mark Hinds, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grands.
A memorial will be held 3 p.m., August 7th, at Highlands Community Church, 3031 NE 10th St., Renton.

Jean Graham Hobart
Jean Graham Hobart, 83, of Renton, peacefully Born January 12, 1933 in San Luis Obispo, California to Eldon French Hobart and Agnes Jean Fleishman Hobart.
She taught kindergarten in Renton, Campbell Hill Elementary, from 1964 to 1990 where she retired after 26 years.
She was a founding member of Kubota Garden Foundation in 1990. She was awarded the Seattle Parks Department Denny award in 2007 for her many years of service to Kubota Garden.
Jean was also a Master Gardener for 25 years.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Hobart (Janet) and their children Tim Hobart, Mike Hobart, Don Hobart, Sam Hobart, Amy Hobart and Natalie Kesnick, her sister-in-law, Lulu Hobart, (Richard, brother deceased) and their children, Rick Hobart (Robyn), Bill Hobart (Kim), Jennifer Finney (Larry) and Ren’e Cusick (Jerry), numerous cousins, great nephews and great nieces.
A memorial will be held on July 29th, at Kubota Garden, 9817 55th Ave S., Seattle, WA 98178 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Colton Levi Fenne, who attended Yale Elementary School, Born July 3, 1991, in Vancouver, Colton lived in the area all his life. He was a member of the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Rain Tree Empire and was known as Sir Colton Storm. Colton loved to perform and raise money for charitable organizations. Survivors include his mother, Connie Fenne, at home; two brothers, Kevin Paul of Tacoma and Konraed Fenne of Woodland; grandparents, Patricia and Loral Lords of Battle Ground; great-grandmother, Pauline Dedmore of Portland; and legal guardian, Patience Weber of Woodland. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.
Wesley W. Jahnke

Wesley "Wes" W. Jahnke, owner of Continental Western Corp. for 22 years, born Jan. 16, 1925, in Saline, Mich. He lived in the Vancouver area the past 10 years. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Joan, at home; three daughters, Marsha Strand of Salem, Laurie Mahaffey of Hillsboro and Kelly Jo Wright of Beaverton; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at the Columbia River Yacht Club. His body will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1425 N.E. Marvin A. Miller

A lifetime Clark County resident, Marvin A. Miller, 70, born June 26, 1929, in Camas. He had been a member of the Washington State Law Enforcement Association, Northwest Antique Airplane Club, National Rifle Association and the Vancouver Rifle and Pistol Club. He was also a longtime member of the Salmon Creek American Legion and Eagles Lodge 3213. Mr. Miller enjoyed collecting antique tobacco tins. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Anthonette, at home; one daughter, Teresa Ellis of Molalla, Ore.; one son, Dennis of Vancouver; three brothers, Forrest Miller of Camas, Ersal Heitter of Grangeville, Idaho, and Jesse Heitter of Seattle; and one grandchild. A funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. There will be a private burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died in a Portland hospital Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999. Mr. Berry, a paramedic, had worked in Clark, Skamania and Klickitat counties. He was also a reserve officer with the White Salmon Police Dept. Mr. Berry was funeral service for Richard Berry, 49, who died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999, will be held at the United Methodist Church in Stevenson on Monday beginning at 3 p.m.
