A Vancouver for the past 55 years, Evalue J. Carrell, born Oct. 31, 1931, in Mitchell, S.D. She enjoyed traveling and loved the symphony. She was a secretary for P.I.E. Freight in Portland for 20 years before retiring. Survivors include one daughter, Roxane Sutherland of Vancouver; two sons, Steve Paull and Gregry Paull, both of Vancouver; two brothers, Robert Harter and Donald Harter, both of Vancouver; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Central Nazarene Church. There was a private graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died of cardiac arrest Aug. 23, 1999, in Houston. His wife, Shyrl I., death. Mr. Craven was Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Willamette National died in Portland on Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999. He was 46. A self-employed landscaper, Mr. Foley lived in Vancouver the past 20 years. He was died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999, in a Portland veteran's hospital. He was 84. Mr. Hendrickson, a Navy veteran of World War II, was a welder and mechanic. He was Cemetery in Portland.
Florence M. Magennis

Longtime Vancouver resident, Florence M. Magennis, born Feb. 2, 1910, in Dunkirk, Kan. She was retired from the old Crown Zellerbach paper mill. She was a member of the Christian Science Church and enjoyed children and traveling. Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis J. Rodgers of Vancouver; two sons, Ronald D. Cochrun and Robert A. Cochrun Magennis, both of Vancouver; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. There will be no service. Her body was cremated.
Robert J. McLaughlin

A custodian for the U.S. Postal Service, Robert J. McLaughlin, 73, born Jan. 13, 1926, in Scranton, Pa., and lived in the Vancouver area since 1980. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Patricia, at home; six daughters, Teresa Friedrich, Donna McLaughlin and Sharon Symonds, all of Vancouver, Eileen Pysznik of Monson, Mass., Rhonda See of Wilmington, Mass., and Jennet McLaughlin of Reno; one son, Shawn of Hawaii; three sisters, Dolly Bernas of Horseheads, N.Y., Agnes Hoffman of Roanoke, Va., and Marion Wheaton of Florida; and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, followed by burial. Edward Warren Craven, 72, died after a long illness, Aug 29, 1998, in Houston. They were both former Clark County residents. They were preceded in the born Sept. 7, 1926, in Albany, Mo., and Mrs. Craven was Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
Gladys I. Campbell
Longview
A school teacher in Vancouver for 43 years, Gladys I. Campbell, born March 5, 1904, in Berthold, N.D. She lived in Vancouver 60 years before moving to Longview three years ago. Survivors include one daughter, Connie J. Czech of Longview; one son, Jack of Central Point, Ore.; one sister, Myrtle Sweet of Ferndale, Wash.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Campbell was active in the Washington State Retired Teachers Association and was a volunteer at Fort Vancouver Seafarers Center. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. There will be no service. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died in Vancouver on Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999. He was 88. Mr. Cochrane, a logger, was died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999. Her husband of 50 years, Leo, preceded her in born April 19, 1910, in Kiona, Wash. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Gina Leidy of Vancouver and Linda Barnard of Tacoma; and nephew Jeff Hughes of Vancouver. There will be no service. Her body was cremated and her ashes will be scattered over Mount Hood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Association for Macular Diseases, Inc.
Willa G. Holt

A Clark County resident for the past 57 years, Willa G. Holt, born April 10, 1920, in Harrington, Wash. Her maiden name was Hoffman. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clarence, at home; one daughter, Gayle Holt of Seattle; two sons, David of Burlington, Wash., and Paul of Woodland; three sisters, Carol Peterson of Temecula, Calif., Benna Munger of Claremont, Calif., and Evelyn Ragsdale of Ontario, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren Mrs. Holt enjoyed working in her garden and sewing. A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Private burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died in Battle Ground on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000. Mrs. Matney cooked in several restaurants. Her husband, Elza L., born Jan. 4, 1921, in Neodesha, Kan., and lived in the Clark County area for 34 years. Her maiden name was Barker. Survivors include one daughter, Sarah Olson of Seaside, Ore.; one son, William of Vancouver; one sister, Elda Campbell of Ottowa, Kan.; two brothers, Joseph Barker of Virginia Beach, Va., and Cecil Barker of Veradale, Wash.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Matney was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Pythian Sisters, Pekin Ferry Grange and the Rebekah Lodge. She loved visiting people and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and playing bingo. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground.
