Stanley J. Gidley

A Vancouver resident since 1968, Stanley "Stutz" Jay Gidley born Feb. 22, 1908, in Gettysburg, S.D. He was raised on his father's cattle and sheep ranch.
Mr. Gidley graduated in 1930 from the University of South Dakota, where he was an all-conference football player.
He worked 33 years in management with International Harvester Co., including four years as district manager in Portland.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Toody, at home; two sons, Jim of Portland and Dick of Kirkland; one sister, Beulah Klein of Crookston, Minn.; and three grandchildren.
There was a service Saturday.
Daisy B. Grotvik
Florence, Ore.
Former Woodland resident Daisy Button Grotvik born May 12, 1912, in Woodland and lived there until moving to Florence.
Active with the Hulda Klager Lilac Society, Mrs. Grotvik gave land to a developer to allow the gardens to become a National Historic Site.
Mrs. Grotvik also worked with the Highland Lutheran and the Presbyterian churches.
She was active in the political scene and hosted many meetings in her home. She was a grand matron in the Order of Eastern Star and the Rainbow organization. Mrs. Grotvik was a Girl Scout leader and involved in the Woodland Chamber of Commerce, the Woodland Federated Garden Club and the Junior and Senior Women's clubs.
Her husbands, Carl Button and Halvor Grotvik, both preceded her in died July 15, 2000, of complications of Alzheimer's disease. Mr. Janovec, 92, lived in Highland Terrace in Camas for the last 21/2 years.
He was death by his wife, Martha, and an infant son, Michael.
Survivors include three daughters, Madeline Meza Janovec of Portland, Stephania Potter of Washougal and Mary Ann Boyette of Pico Rivera, Calif.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and three step-great-grandchildren.
His body was cremated. Inurnment will be in Washougal died in Longview on Saturday, July 22, 2000. He was 78.
Mr. Jury was Cemetery.

Lloyd B. Lister
Vancouver
A railroad inspector for the Southern Pacific Railroad, Lloyd B. Lister, born Dec. 21, 1916, in Portland. He lived in Vancouver the past 28 years.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Lister, who retired in the mid 1970s, was a citizens band radio operator with the call number W7ERK.
Survivors include his wife, Helen D., at home; one daughter, Lana Thompson; one son, Tom Lister; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home in Portland. died at work Wednesday, July 19, 2000. He was 55.
Mr. McMahan was died Saturday, July 22, 2000, in a Vancouver nursing home. She was 82.
Mrs. Nance was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
She was died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Vancouver. She was 89.
Mrs. Nixon-Addison, a homemaker, was died at home Sunday, July 23, 2000. She was 83.
Mrs. Rerick was purchasing manager for Hi-School Pharmacy on Main Street for 33 years before she retired in 1979.
She enjoyed camping with her family and flower and vegetable gardening.
She also liked feeding the birds and squirrels.
Mrs. Rerick was died in June.
Survivors include one son, Arthur Rerick Jr. of Vancouver; two sisters, Gladys Crane of Salem, Ore., and Bess Yoder of Woodburn, Ore.; and four grandsons, Charles D. Rerick Jr., Guy Rex Rerick, Christopher R. Rerick and Tyler A. Rerick, all of Vancouver.
Her body will be cremated.
