Richard D. Maul

Richard Dennis Maul born March 26, 1943 in Vancouver, where he was raised and educated.
He was a member of the Army Reserves. He was a real estate agent in Seattle and Ocean Park, Wash. In 1981, he bought Coastal Sales Co. and operated it until his retirement in 1983.
Mr. Maul was also a member of the Moose Lodge 2362 in Ocean Park and local chapters of the Elks and Eagles lodges. He enjoyed his family, traveling, working crossword puzzles, cooking, sports and collecting coins and sports memorabilia. Mr. Maul worked at a local food bank.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two sons, Michael and James, both of Lynnwood; his stepmother, Mary Beth Maul of Molokai, Hawaii; two stepsisters, Cristy Maul of Eugene, Ore., and Robin Maul of Honolulu; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The body was cremated. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Moose Lodge in Ocean Park. Penttila's Chapel by The Sea in Long Beach is in charge of arrangements.

Eugenia M. Meyer

A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Eugenia M. Meyer born Sept. 25, 1914. She lived in Chicago before moving to Vancouver in 1971.
She was preceded in Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
John H. Mitten Sr.
Vancouver
A Vancouver resident for 44 years, John H. Mitten Sr. born Jan. 3, 1922, in Montana, and was raised and educated in Wyoming.
Mr. Mitten served in the Army during World War II and was a paint contractor for more than 40 years, until he retired in 1982.
He enjoyed hunting and gold mining.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Perkins of Vancouver; four sons, Dan and David, both of Vancouver, John Mitten Jr. of Mazatlan, Mexico, and Roger Erickson of Yakima; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his special companion Linda Weagant of Vancouver.
A gathering is planned from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Leverich Park. Davies Cremation & Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.

Gilford C. Tyler
Vancouver
Gilford C. Tyler born August 21, 1940, in Gillette, Wyo. He lived in Vancouver for 59 years.
Mr. Tyler was a military veteran who enjoyed reading and spending time with his grandchildren and friends.
Survivors include one daughter, Kerri-Lynn Tyler-Breimon of Battle Ground; and his sister, Phyllis L. Fox of Vancouver.
Minnie M. Wedgwood

A homemaker who enjoyed music and crocheting, Minnie M. Wedgwood born Sept. 11, 1919, in Breast, France. She lived in the Vancouver area since 1968.
She attended the Burton Church of God.
Mrs. Wedgwood was preceded in Cemetery. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. at Burton Church of God. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

John Gardner Young
La Center
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hazel Dell for former La Center resident John Gardner Young, who died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, in Vancouver. He was 59.
Mr. Cox was Cemetery.

Dennis L. Fenton

Dennis L. Fenton born Dec. 5, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa. He had lived in Camas for 10 years.
He was self-employed in the trucking industry.
Mr. Fenton is survived by his wife, Jackie of Camas; his mother, Mildred L. Webley of Coos Bay, Ore.; a daughter, Jeannie Thissell of San Marco, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Sandy Mendosa, Tina Covington and Roni Morales, all of California; one son, Robert Fenton of Enumclaw; two stepsons, Michael Morales of Oregon and Terry Morales of California; his brother, Gary Fenton of Washington; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
No services will be held at the family's request. Memorial donations may be given to a charity of choice.
Neal J. Griffith
Vancouver
A World War II veteran in the Marine Corps who enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading, Neal J. Griffith, born July 12, 1919, in Sturgis, S.D. He had been a Vancouver resident since 1966.
He was a property manager for Norris & Stevens with his wife for the past 20 years. He loved it so much he never retired.
Mr. Griffith was preceded in died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2000, in a Vancouver foster home. He was 93.
He was death by his son, Larry Johnson, in 1999.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia E. of Vancouver; one daughter, Edna Edgemon of Vancouver; two sisters, Eleanor Birchard of Sunnyside and Esther Naugle of San Diego; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The casket will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, followed by mausoleum entombment.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Robert L. Joner
Doty
Robert Lee Joner born Sept. 5, 1932, in Renville County, Minn. At the age of 5, he and his family moved to Orchards, where he was raised and educated.
He lived in Doty for the past five years.
Mr. Joner was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War.
He was a truck driver most of his life and was retired from the Teamsters Union.
He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and horses. His family remembers him for his great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, at home in Doty; a daughter, Tammy Moore of Tigard, Ore.; three sons, Gerald Joner of Germany, and Mitchell and Scott Joner of Doty, three sisters, Lillian Havlisch and Arlene Guttu of Vancouver, and Lois Julson of Yacolt; his brother, Richard Joner of Vancouver; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at noon Tuesday, Aug. 8, at Laurelwood Baptist Church in Vancouver.
