An industrial registered nurse for ALCOA who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and camping, Beverly Ann Mattson born Sept. 29, 1930, in Vancouver. Her maiden name was Lindstrom. She spent her entire life in the Brush Prairie-Clark County area.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ladies of the Elks and St. Joseph Alumni Association.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Norman Mattson, at home in Brush Prairie; two daughters, Elaine Gray and Colleen Morgan of Vancouver; a brother, Alfred Laine of Guadalupe, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
The casket will be open for viewing at 9 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Battle Ground. A funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, with committal following at Sacred Heart Catholic died at home in Vancouver on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000. She was 78.
She was death by two daughters Evelyn Leighton in 1980 and Linda Scott in 1973.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Montgomery of Vancouver; four daughters, Sharon Ball and Donna Hoofard of Vancouver, Vicki Scott of Portland, and Barbara Lackey of Las Vegas; two sons, Eddie Scott of Reno, Nev., and Roy Schaaf of Vancouver; her stepsons, Robert and Richard Montgomery of Portland; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

An accountant who loved to golf and play bridge, Martha H. Smith born Dec. 10, 1916, in Loup City, Neb. She later lived in Scottsbluff, Neb., and Sterling, Colo., before moving to Vancouver for two years.
She enjoyed watching all forms of sports, especially the Denver Broncos.
She was preceded in Cemetery in Scottsbluff, Neb. Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its choir, Margie J. Todd Trainor born August 3, 1927, in Eagle Butte, S.D. Her maiden name was Heinz.
She worked as a payroll administrator for the General Brewing Co. for almost 30 years and was one of the founding members of the Sausage Festival Booster Club.
She was preceded in died in 1971, and her second husband, Norman Trainor, who Cemetery. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A retired truck driver and lifetime resident of Clark County, Norman A. Kampe born Dec. 17, 1915, in Vancouver. He resided in Ridgefield at the time of death by his first wife, Claudia Kampe, in 1962, and his stepson, Robert Bryan, in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Lorene Kampe of Ridgefield; his daughter, Norma Kampe of Vancouver; two sons, Ron Kampe of West Linn, Ore., and Dennis Kampe of Vancouver; his sister, Ivie Beach of Calif.; two stepchildren, Larry Bryan of Portland, and Linda McCanta of Ridgefield; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Ridgefield Community United Methodist Church in Ridgefield.

A homemaker who enjoyed her home and raising her family, Wilma J. Dalton born June 15, 1933, in Kellogg, Idaho. Her maiden name was Vertz. She lived in Vancouver for 55 years, where she was raised and educated.
Survivors include her husband since 1958, Bob of Vancouver; a daughter, Linda Dalton of Vancouver, three sons, Lee of Hazel Dell, Randy of Rupert, Idaho, and Jim of Anchorage, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.

Adrian A. De La Cruz

Adrian A. De La Cruz born March 19, 1993, in Portland. He had lived in Vancouver for almost two years.
He enjoyed swimming, soccer, Rollerblading, basketball, making forts in the woods and being with his friends.
Survivors include his mother, Susana De La Cruz of Vancouver; four sisters, Amanda Pina and Vanessa, Esmeralda and Esperanza De La Cruz, all of Vancouver; a brother, Jeremy Pina of Vancouver; his grandmother, Janice VonAllmen of Portland; his grandfather and stepgrandmother, Simon and Mary De La Cruz of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and his aunt, Cheryl Barrett of Olympia.

A customer service representative who enjoyed crocheting and mushroom hunting, Marcia Joan Gillespie born April 10, 1948, in Sacramento, Calif. Her maiden name was Stubbins.
She graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1966.
She retired in March and enjoyed traveling the United States with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence; her son and daughter, Shiela and Richard Klimek of southern Oregon; her sister, Louise Currin of Beaverton, Ore.; her stepdaughter, Becky Miller; her stepsons, Michael and David Steele and William and Jason Gillespie; and nine grandchildren.

A proofreader for the state of Oregon claims department who often helped people in need, Joan C. Annett born July 16, 1924, in La Porte City, Iowa. She lived in Vancouver for the past year and a half.
She was a missionary in Mexico. Mrs. Annett was an astute writer and loved to talk to people.
Survivors include her three sons, Daniel of Vancouver, David of Los Angeles and Sam of Portland; two sisters, Margaret Stewart and Mary Sewell, both of Waterloo, Iowa; two brothers, Bob Crawford of Jesup, Iowa, and Jack Crawford of Chandler, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private family service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Mrs. Annett's home. The body will be cremated. Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

A member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Camas who enjoyed knitting and embroidery, Florence Rica Jurvakainen born Nov. 4, 1907, in Hockinson. She lived in the Hockinson-Camas-Washougal area for 65 years.
Mrs. Jurvakainen worked in the converting plant at the Crown Zellerbach mill in Camas.
She loved to garden, work in the yard and can food.
