Ella Berg Wright Myr, 96, born Oct. 31, 1904, in Norway. Mrs. Myr attended schools in Woodland and Kelso and graduated from Kelso High School.
She was a writer and painter, who had painted more than 100 pictures of the historic Cedar Creek Grist Mill.
Mrs. Myr joined the Signal Corps in World War II and was among the first to serve in Women's Army Corps in North Africa. Chief operator of the switchboards for the Allied Forces in North Africa and Italy, she received the Legion of Merit medal.
She was a member of the Friends of the Cedar Creek Grist Mill and the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens in Woodland. Mrs. Myr was a charter member of North County Historical Museum. She loved to fish, hike and camp.
Survivors include two nephews, Gunnar Berg of New Jersey and Ray Berg of Maryland.
A graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hayes-Gardner died Thursday, May 17, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 91.
A longtime member of the Nazarene church, she loved to play the organ. She had been a foster mother to many children.
Mrs. Potter was death. Two daughters, Mildred Taylor and Louise Vigil, and a son, Frank Watts, also preceded her in Cemetery in Galt, Calif. Vancouver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Winifred Nettie Rolling, a homemaker who loved traveling, born Dec. 1, 1912, in Newport, Ore., and lived the last 60 years in Clark County.
She loved trailer camping in Thousand Trails campgrounds, taking Alaska cruises, reading, swimming and collecting teddy bears.
There will be a private family service. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Lewis D. Strickland IV
Battle Ground
Lewis Dennis Strickland IV, 22 months, born July 29, 1999, in Rock Island, Ill., and lived in Clark County the past year.
Survivors include his mother, Marie Jensen, at home; one sister, Amanda Pratt of Aledo, Ill.; and grandparents Janet Sparrowgrove of Battle Ground and Ron Sparrowgrove of Oroville.
Lewis loved playing outside, music and Barney.
A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Battle Ground. A private burial will be in the church died Saturday, May 19, 2001, in Vancouver of a brain tumor. She was 46.
Mrs. Armstrong was an administrative assistant for two years at Evergreen Bible Church. She also worked as an Evergreen School District media assistant, operated a home day care and was a caterer.
Mrs. Armstrong was Cemetery and Funeral Home in Portland is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Armstrong was a very involved member of Evergreen Bible Church. She also was active in North Garrison Heights neighborhood events.
Survivors include her husband, Rick, at home; her mother, Toni Goll; three sons, Zachary, Caleb and Adam; three brothers, Marland Goll, Jeff Goll and Jamison Goll; one sister, Connie Schmotzer; and one grandchild.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died at home Wednesday, May 23, 2001. She was 89.

Mrs. Cochran enjoyed painting, gardening and raising sheep, goats and chickens. She was a master guide for the Pathfinders Club and an avid reader. Mrs. Cochran was a member of the Woodland Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Eoff of Vancouver and Caroline James of Woodland; two sons, Edmund of Woodland and Vernon of Kirkland; one brother, Norman Colvin of Sheridan, Ore.; one sister, Golda Johnson of Gresham; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
A service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Woodland. Woodland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Edythe M. Cole

Edythe M. Cole, who worked in data processing at Jantzen Inc. for 38 years, died in 1998.
Survivors include one brother, Kay Nelson of Palm Springs, Calif.; and two sisters, Lavon Olson of Alexandria, Minn., and Twilla Ellingson of Berlin, N.D.
Mrs. Cole, who retired in 1983, enjoyed handiwork and travel. She was a member of Columbia Presbyterian Church.
