Harvey R. Souders Jr. born Aug. 4, 1925, in Wilson, Idaho.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
Mr. Souders moved to Portland in 1951 to work for Swift & Co. After a back injury, he attended college and became a journeyman machinist. He last worked at Portland Iron Works.
After he retired, he and his wife traveled between Arizona, Idaho and Washington.
He was preceded in Cemetery in Owyhee County, Idaho.

Leigh A. Callaway
Vancouver
Leigh Ann H. Callaway, a 20-year resident of Vancouver, born March 5, 1942, in Caldwell, Kan.
Survivors include her husband, Bion E., at home; four sons, Bion B. of Tulsa, Okla., and Bradley D., Kipson S. and Kevin L., all of Vancouver; one sister, June Hormel of Salem, Ore.; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Callaway was active in citizens band radio clubs and enjoyed her computer.
There will be a private service. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Donna B. Hannam
Woodland
Donna Bernice Hannam born May 24, 1925, in Woodland and lived in the area all her life.
Mrs. Hannam graduated from Woodland High School in 1943 and attended Central and Western Washington universities.
She worked at the Lewis River News for 30 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member and organist at Woodland Presbyterian Church for 35 years and also was active in the choir. After retirement, she enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin L. Hannam of Vancouver; three sons, John W. II of Clinton, David G. of Vancouver and Kevin M. of Edmonds; one sister, Dorothy M. Singletary of Redmond; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in died May 10, 2001, at home. He was 54.
Mr. Koplin was died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, in Vancouver of cancer. She was 63.
Mrs. Kotzen, who loved to help others, was died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 83.
Her husband, Elmer, death were a granddaughter, Vondakay Nelson, in 1992, and Gordy Tikka, a great-grandchild, in 1999.
Mrs. Nelson was Cemetery, both in Brush Prairie. Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.
Blaine Turner
Vancouver
There will be a memorial service later for Blaine Turner, who died in 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Johnson of Nevada and JoAnn Hayes of Vancouver; one son, Dale Turner of Yakima; three stepsons, Brian Babcock of Idaho, Eric Babcock of California and Robbie Rawleigh of Vancouver; two sisters, Gladys Johnson of Portland and Kathleen Morgan of Lincoln City, Ore.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. Turner liked fishing and loved his dog, Jake.
Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.

Alice Wallers
Herndon, Va.
Former Vancouver resident Alice Jordan Wallers died in 1985. Mrs. Wallers then moved to Vancouver to live with one of her sons, later moving to the Washington, D.C., area.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda of Herndon; two sons, Larry of Reno, Nev., and Tony of Vancouver; three brothers, Richard Jordan of Baraboo, Wis., Thomas Zawitaj of Cicero, Ill., and John Zawitaj of South Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Her body was cremated. Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon was in charge of arrangements.

Esther G. Stavaas

A member of Trinity Lutheran Church who worked in quality control at the cannery in Vancouver for over 25 years, Esther G. Stavaas, 84, born April 10, 1917, in Elizabeth, Minn. and moved to Vancouver in 1940. She was very involved in bowling from 1964 until 1990 and enjoyed spending time at the Crosley, Hazel Dell, Sunrise and Interstate alleys. She also loved cats, especially her own cat, Muffin.
Her husband Henry Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
