A memorial service was Friday at Cascade Presbyterian Church for Irwin Perry Scovil, who born April 13, 1920, in St. Lawrence, S.D., and lived in Clark County for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ilene, at home; three daughters, Marlene K. Krout of Pendleton, Ore., Kay C. Wanless of Wilsonville, Ore., and Sonya E. Babbitt of Hillsboro, Ore.; one son, Eddie G. of Ridgefield; one brother, Leonard of Vancouver; one sister, Thelma Banning of Vancouver; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Scovil was a member of Cascades Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir.
He was also a member of the Pipefitters Union, Local 669, and a past member of Vancouver Elks Lodge and American Legion Post 14.
Mr. Scovil liked golfing, gardening, going to the ocean and woodworking. He enjoyed rodeos, especially the Pendleton Round-Up.

Edward R. Provencher

An obituary in Sunday's paper listed an incorrect time for Edward R. Provencher's service.
A memorial gathering will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Willamette National died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 93.
Mrs. Blair was death by her husband, Daniel, and her son, Charles, both in 1980; and her daughter, Mary Edna, in 1964.
Survivors include one son, David of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Blair was a welder in the shipyards during World War II. After the war, she attended Clark College, became a nurse and worked for 15 years.
There will be no service. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 82.
She is survived by one daughter, Judith McNatt of Vancouver; four sons, Donald McNatt of Vancouver, Doyle McNatt of Yorba Linda, Calif., Michael McNatt of Moses Lake, Wash., and Ronald McNatt of Austin, Texas; one sister, Winnona Brady of Lincoln, Neb.; one brother, Wayne Sherman of Omaha, Neb.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Hartung was died Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, in Yacolt. She was 70.
Mrs. Plummer, a homemaker, was died in 1961.
Survivors include one daughter, Clarice Burkhart of Yacolt; four sons, Todd and Greg, both of Yacolt, Sean of Dahlgren, Va., and Ron of Beaver Falls, Pa.; one sister, Phyllis Haaland of Sun City, Ariz.; one brother, Paul Escher of Manchester, Calif.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her special companion, Larry Cahoon of Yacolt.
Mrs. Plummer, who enjoyed riding motorcycles and flying, loved painting, gardening and playing the piano. When she was younger, she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Yacolt Grange.

Burial will be in Yacolt died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at home. He was 82.

June Arvidson

A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Washougal for June Arvidson, who born July 1, 1925, in Sunnyside, Wash. She moved to Camas in 1946.
She enjoyed reading, crocheting and gardening. Mrs. Arvidson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Burial will be in Camas died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, in a Battle Ground care center. He was 102.
Mr. Buehner owned an auto upholstery shop and was a sales representative in Portland.
His wife, Sadie, died in 1980.
Mr. Buehner was Cemetery. Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Ruth M. Darling

Former Clark County resident Ruth Martha Darling born Oct. 17, 1914, in Lone Tree Township, Merrick County, Neb.
Mrs. Darling, a licensed practical nurse, worked at Clark County Hospital and later at Vancouver Memorial Hospital. During World War II, she worked in the shipyards.
She enjoyed needlework, and when she was 84, she began oil painting. Mrs. Darling was a charter member of MacArthur Boulevard Christian Church in Vancouver. In Loveland, she was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and St. Martha's Guild.

Virginia S. Carson

Virginia S. Carson, a homemaker who lived in Clark County for the past 24 years, born March 19, 1933, in Holden, La. Her maiden name was Sharp.
Survivors include her husband, LeRoy, at home; six daughters, Cecila Carson of Seattle, Lucy Harvey of Austin, Texas, Theressa Sanderson, Mary LeCount and Christine Dolan, all of Vancouver, and Evelyn Twerdok of Pennsylvania; three sons, John T. Harvey of St. Francisville, La., Steven Carson of Moses Lake and Alan Carson of Seattle; one sister, Mary Beth Orr of Denim Spring, La.; one brother, Delmar D. Sharp Jr.; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Carson enjoyed singing in the choir and playing piano at Cascades Presbyterian Church. She liked playing bingo at Merwin Lake Campers Hide Away.
A memorial service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Cascades Presbyterian Church. Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
