A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 61.
Mrs. Winter was died in 1990.
Survivors include her daughter, Patty Merritt of Benton, Ark.; a son, Gordon of Kettle Falls; a sister, Mary of Hot Springs, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
Weldon E. Young

A Vancouver resident for 20 years who enjoyed golf and baseball, Weldon E. Young born June 8, 1926, in Portland.
Two sons, Gary Young and Ronald Newton, preceded him in Cemetery in Portland. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Ruby G. Backous
Vancouver
A Vancouver resident since 1954, Ruby G. Backous born March 14, 1922, in Frederick, S.D. Her maiden name was Olson.
Mrs. Backous was preceded in died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 51.
Mrs. Grisso graduated from Temple City High School in 1969. She attended Pasadena City College as an art student from 1969-73, followed by a stint at Long Beach State as a graphic artist.
She was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver, where she also taught Sunday school.
Mrs. Grisso was a homemaker and is remembered as a loving, caring wife and dedicated mother. She held a strong faith in God.
She was died Oct. 19, 2002. A full obituary ran in the Oct. 23 Columbian.
Donald L. Ingram
Woodland
A Clark County resident since 1929, Donald Lee Ingram, born Feb. 29, 1928, in Grain Valley, Mo.
He was a member of Mount Hood 32 Masonic Lodge, the Afifi Shrine, Smith Reynolds American Legion and Vancouver Valley Scottish Rite. He was also involved in the Christmas with Santa Claus and Shriner clowns programs.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Delores F. at home; three sons, Dan Ingram and David Hilborn, both of La Center, and Gary Hilborn of Aloha, Ore.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Vancouver Masonic Center. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is handling arrangements.
Wayne W. Stapleton
Woodland
An 11-year resident of Woodland, Wayne William Stapleton born May 20, 1927, in Dodge City, Kan.
He spent many years working as a maintenance superintendent in the transportation industry. He loved animals and feeding birds. He also like adventure movies and enjoyed music.
Mr. Stapleton was preceded in died of Hodgkins disease Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 21.
Miss Zaytsev was Cemetery.
Edward G. Arrowsmith
Vancouver
A Vancouver resident for 50 years, Edward G. Arrowsmith born Jan. 28, 1904, in Yakima, Wash.
Survivors include his wife of 75 years, Rae, at home; one daughter, Carolyn Petersen of Vancouver; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be no service. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Nellie W. Cecil
Lebanon, Ore.
Nellie W. Cecil, a homemaker who previously lived in Vancouver, born May 8, 1920, in Melbourne, Australia. She lived in Lebanon for the past year.
Survivors include three daughters, Merlyn McGrath of Australia, Vivian McPherson of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Tess Landis of Portland; two sons, Lawrence Jr. of Lebanon and Mervin of Centralia; two sisters, Veronica Marriner and Velda Maines, both of Australia; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, bowling and trips to Australia.
There will be a memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Cecil and her husband, Lawrence C. Cecil Sr., who died Nov. 7, 2002, at Woodside Senior Residence in Angwin. He was 81.
Dr. Champaign was died in 1990.
Dr. Champaign was a member of many civic organizations including a train collectors group. He was also a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nashville, Tenn.
Survivors include two children, Suzanne Qualley of Angwin and Judy Champaign-Bassett of Metarie, La.; one brother, Delos of Modesto, Calif.; one sister, Lillian Barker of Ohio; and six grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville. Morrison Funeral Chapel in St. Helena, Calif., is in charge of arrangements.
