A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Leroy W. McCune, 88, who died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, in Washougal. He was 78.
Mr. Woodings was Cemetery in Washougal. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
Burl E. Dunnigan
Dallas, Ga.
A former Clark County resident, Burl E. Dunnigan, died.
He was died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, at his home in Woodland.
Mr. Johnson was died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in a Vancouver care center. She was 72.
Mrs. Amundson was a member of Evangelical Free Church in La Center. She loved to read, play the piano and watch John Wayne movies.
She was died in April and a son, Mark, also preceded her in died Friday, Sept. 14, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 79.
She was a secretary for Alcoa.
Mrs. Borroz was died in 1980.
Survivors include two sons, Brian Surbert of Vancouver and John Surbert of Bow, Wash.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in Vancouver. He was 91.
Mr. Carson was an accountant for Alcoa.
His first wife, Neva Carson, died in 1994, and a daughter, Peggy Paterson, born Nov. 17, 1909, in Buhl, Idaho, and lived in Clark County the past 52 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Joanne Denny of Olympia and Kathy Butler of Portland; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mr. Carson, a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, traveled worldwide.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, at Frontier Nursing Home in Longview. She was 84.
Her husband and a great-grandson, Michael Dohne, preceded her in born Feb. 17, 1917, in Parkdale, Ore. She lived in the area for 56 years. She spent winters in Hawaii.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Balch and Nancy Stark, both of Woodland; one son, Robert of Woodland; one sister, Jean Smith of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Frank Abel died Sept. 13, 2001, in Hillsboro. He was 24.
Mr. Newman was died of natural causes Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001, in a convalescent hospital in Lodi. She was 95.
Mrs. Adams was death by her husband, Roy Adams, in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Gayle Phelps of Lodi and Judy Adamek of Montana; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be private. A family memorial service will be private.

James E. Couty
Vancouver
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home for James E. Couty, who born March 22, 1917, in Owensboro, Ky., and graduated from the University of Kentucky. Mr Couty had been a Clark County resident since 1946 and was active with the Clark County Planning Commission in the 1950s.
Mr. Couty was also a major in the Army during World War II in the European, African and Middle Eastern theaters. He received the Bronze Star. Later he retired from working in sales for the Meier & Frank Co.
Mr. Couty enjoyed gardening, swimming and walking. He loved animals, especially his Schnauzer dog, Reggie.
Mr. Couty was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Couty, in 1986.
Survivors include his wife for the past 15 years, Maria Couty, at home; a daughter, Laura Anderson of Vancouver; a son, Bill Couty of Fairbanks, Alaska; three stepdaughters, Ann Hargrave of Vancouver, Darlene Parnell of Ridgefield and Melanie Moats of Hayden Lake, Idaho; three stepsons, Patrick Burke of Salem, Ore., Michael Burke of Long Beach, Wash., and Eugene Burke of Camas; a brother, Phillip Couty of Carlsbad, Calif.; four grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Private burial will follow the funeral at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
