A retired construction worker who loved to hunt and fish, Gene A. Noack born May 7, 1928, in Fingal, N.D., and had lived in Vancouver since 1939.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Kessler of Vancouver and Jennette Black of Denver; three sons, Lynn Noack of Camas, and Jerry Noack and Duane Noack, both of Vancouver; and six grandchildren.
Private family services will follow cremation. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Clarence F. Nikkila, 81, who born Nov. 21, 1919, in Gackel, N.D.
He was preceded in Cemetery.

Georgia E. Novosad

A Vancouver resident for 23 years, Georgia Ethel Novosad born Jan. 15, 1919, in Jesse, Okla. She was a co-owner and operator of three grocery stores during the Depression and loved to watch boxing live and on television. She also enjoyed traveling.
Her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Edwin Novosad, Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Thelma M. Pearce
Hockinson
A funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Thelma M. Pearce, who born July 11, 1924, in Dennis, Okla.
She was a supervisor and cook for Lebanon Union High School in Lebanon, Ore., for 15 years. Mrs. Pearce also enjoyed cooking, gardening, golf and watching sports.
Her husband, Francis Pearce, interment will be at Alford died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was 72.
Mrs. Rolls, a supervisor for Pacific Power & Light, retired in 1987 after 35 years with the company. She enjoyed fine art, traveling, painting, bird watching and her rose garden.
She was death by her first husband, Victor Oswald, in 1980, and her second husband, Roy, in 2000.
Survivors include her son, Carl Oswald of Vancouver; a brother, James Slack of Overgaard, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 2100 N.W. 99th St. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is handling arrangements.

Dolores J. Schriener

A homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Dolores J. Schriener born June 15, 1938, in Portland. Her maiden name was Jaster. She was a Vancouver resident for the past 63 years.
Mrs. Schriener enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariners on television and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Vancouver.
Survivors include her daughter, Jodie Morgan-Kent of Battle Ground; a son, Michael Morgan of Brush Prairie; two sisters, Pat McCarroll of Vancouver and Jeannie Simmons of Kent, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
The casket will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran died of ovarian cancer Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 59.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence Allen, at home; a daughter, Ann Chilton of Ariel, Wash.; a son, David Haines of Ridgefield; two sisters, Alberta Haines of Vancouver and Frances Rains of San Francisco; two brothers, Ben Phillips of Mesa, Ariz., and Grant Phillips of Kenai, Alaska; five grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sara Union died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, in Portland.
Mrs. Hilgers was death by her first husband, Ron Roberts, in 1967, and her two sons, Jerry Roberts and Willy Roberts.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Fred, at home; her parents, Robert and LaVerne Culverwell of Battle Ground; two sons, Frederick Roberts of Kansas City, Mo., and Scott Hilgers of Vancouver; a sister, Frederica H. Roberts of Vancouver; and one grandchild.
The casket will be open 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will start at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the Garden of Inspiration at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
