Robert Potter

Robert "Bob" Potter, a 30-year resident of Vancouver, born Oct. 14, 1924, in Star, Ore., and lived much of his early life in Olympia.
In 1993 he received a heart transplant that enabled him to enjoy bowling, fishing and hunting for several years.
He was a carpenter and a member of the Carpenters-Pilebucks Union, Local 246. He was also a member of American Legion Smith-Reynolds Post 14.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Norma, at home; one daughter, Judy Vigil of Carlsbad, Calif.; one son, Robert of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Jack of Yuma, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
The casket will be open from 11 a.m. to noon today at Long and Shukle Memorial Chapel in Roseburg, Ore. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today at Lookingglass died at home Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, after a long battle with cancer. He was 80.
Mr. Satre was died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2003. She was 81.
Mrs. Schaeffer was Cemetery for Ellen L. Walsh, who born Sept. 23, 1926, in Santa Rosa, Calif., and lived in the Battle Ground area 25 years. Her maiden name was Rigsbee.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Allard of Korea; one sister, Mary Rigsbee of Ridgefield; four brothers, Charles Rigsbee of Littlefield, Texas, Dean Rigsbee of Lubbock, Texas, Marvin Rigsbee of Centralia and Leslie Rigsbee of Ridgefield; and two grandchildren.
The casket will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.

Patricia L. Jack
Vancouver
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Maple Grove Assembly of God Church in Battle Ground for Patricia Lorraine Jack, who born June 29, 1937, in San Jose, Calif., and lived in Vancouver five years. Her maiden name was McAuliff.
Survivors include one daughter, Alice Garrett of Battle Ground; one son, Walter Garrett of Tacoma; one brother, Richard McAuliff of Battle Ground; and five grandchildren.
Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Gerald A. Lechtenberg
Vancouver
A beef and dairy farmer and lifelong Clark County resident, Gerald "G.A." Lechtenberg died in 1977.
Mr. Lechtenberg was died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, in Battle Ground. He was 76.
Mr. Leckie was a retired corrections officer and owned an appliance repair business.
He was died in 1997.
Survivors include his wife, Philippa, at home; one daughter, Judy Burraston of Oak Grove, Ore.; two stepdaughters, Melinda Oltmann and Brenda Wilson, both of Battle Ground; six sons, James D. of Kalamazoo, Mich., Doug of Portland, Mike of Eugene, Ore., Mark of Vermont and Sam and Gordon, both of Vancouver; one stepson, Dennis Moore of Battle Ground; one sister, Jean Lanier of Portland; 21 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Leckie was a member of Landmark Christian Assembly and enjoyed hunting, fishing, storytelling and gathering mushrooms.
Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.

Howard S. Maumasi Jr.
Port Angeles, Wash.
Former Vancouver resident Howard Shane Maumasi Jr. born April 26, 1983, in Vancouver. He lived in San Diego during his high school years and returned to Vancouver before enlisting in the Coast Guard. He lived in Port Angeles for the past six months.
A member of the Coast Guard stationed in Port Angeles and a graphic artist, Mr. Maumasi graduated from Coast Guard schools in Petaluma, Calif., and York Town, Va.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joanne and Todd Hall of Vancouver; his father, Howard Maumasi of Western Samoa; three sisters, Valarie Cowles, Pearl Maumasi and Paisley Poirier, all of Vancouver; one brother, Anthony Martinez of Vancouver; and grandparents Enid and Dewain Mecham of Vancouver, Gail and Carl Hall of South Dakota and Sau Maumasi of California.
A funeral will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. The casket will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Ruth I. Phillips

Ruth I. Phillips, a Vancouver resident for the past 80 years, died in 1977.
She was Cemetery. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden Grove Community Christ Church.

Henry A. Schneider

Henry A. Schneider born Aug. 1, 1913, in Hoisington, Kan., and lived in Clark County the past 30 years.
He retired as a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad after 37 years. After retiring, he enjoyed golfing and collecting watches and coins. Mr. Schneider was a life member of the Chehalis-Centralia Elks Lodge 2435.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ruthiedean, at home; one daughter, Pamela Hunzelman of Kalama; one brother, Fred of Colorado; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
There was a graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
