A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Five Corners Baptist Church for Joseph Edward Phillips, who born Jan. 6, 1944, in San Jose, Calif. He lived in Vancouver for the past 30 years.
Survivors include his former wife, Christina Phillips of Vancouver; two daughters, Kelly Gallbreathe of California and Stephanie Phillips; two sons, Joe Phillips and James Phillips, both of California; three stepdaughters, Debi Orborn, Kim Bourland and Sherri Koontz, all of Vancouver; a stepson, Roger Koontz of Vancouver; a sister, Donna Gonzalez of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, Steve Phillips; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Helen Walker-Skaer
Longview
A clerk, buyer and bookkeeper for Montgomery Ward, Helen Walker-Skaer born June 14, 1916, in North Dakota. Her maiden name was Thompson. She lived in Vancouver from 1942 to 2000.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Vancouver and loved sewing, needlepoint pillows, gardening, shopping and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in Cemetery.

Sarah E. Wright

Sarah E. Wright was stillborn Saturday, Sept. 29, 2001, at Southwest Washington Medical Center.
Survivors include her parents, Candace and John Wright of Vancouver; and her grandparents, John and Pam Haberlin of Rochester, Wash., and Capt. James and Carol Wright of Anchorage, Alaska.
A memorial service will begin at 3:30 p.m. Friday at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died of Lou Gehrig's disease Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, in Lake Havasu City. She was 46.
She was Cemetery. The casket will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground.

A Camas resident since 1955, Virginia L. Bailey born May 14, 1916, in Portland. Her maiden name was Leslie.
Survivors include her husband, Richard B., at home; three sons, Richard B. Jr. of San Diego, Scott of Vacaville, Calif., and Mark L. of Fort Washington, Md.; one brother, William Leslie of Lake Oswego, Ore.; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial will be in Camas died at home Sunday, Nov. 18, 2001. She was 89.
Mrs. Goodrich was Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Robert L. Hicks

Robert L. Hicks, who worked for Tektronics from 1980 to 1990, born May 14, 1939, in Gibson, Mo. He lived in Amboy for the past 12 years.
Survivors include his wife of five years, Ada L., at home; two sons, Michael of Alabama and Robert Jr. of Michigan; and two sisters, Wanda Milliman and Charlotte Marks, both of Flint, Mich.
Mr. Hicks was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping others.
Kenneth A. Hizer
Penticton, B.C.
Former Vancouver resident Kenneth Allan Hizer born April 10, 1951, in Penticton. He lived in Vancouver for 15 years.
Survivors include three sons, Christopher A. of Vancouver, and Jason M. and K. Scott, both of San Diego; and one grandson.
First Memorial Funeral Home in Penticton was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Lakeview died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, in a Shoreline care center. He was 94.
Mr. Onstot was died in 1989.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Fray of Mountlake Terrace; one son, Neale of Edmonds; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rogers was a member of Meadow Glade Seventh-day Adventist Church. She liked crossword puzzles, reading and playing the organ and piano.
Her husband, Milton, born Nov. 8, 1920, in Otsego, Mich. Her maiden name was Bullock.
Survivors include three sons, Volney "Von" D. and Charles E., both of Battle Ground, and Harold L. of Portland; one brother, William "Bill" Bullock of Medford, Ore.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground, followed by burial in Brush Prairie Cemetery in Woodland for John DeJong, who born April 13, 1907, in Harlingen, Holland. He moved to the Woodland area from Seattle 27 years ago.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Gertrude, at home; three daughters, Carrie Winter of Vancouver, Betty Eaton of La Conner, Wash., and Jean Fry of Puyallup; two sons, Paul of Kelso and Al of Vancouver; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Edward.
