Claire A. Taylor, who lived in Portland for the past 50 years, born Dec. 6, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She lived in Vancouver for a couple of years before moving to Portland.
Survivors include three daughters, Debbra B. Geday of San Francisco, Susan B. Stark of Tulsa, Okla., and Linda B. Harju of Franklin, Tenn.; two sons, Michael Botts of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Jerry A. Botts of Vancouver; six grandchildren; and her special companion, Tom Beatley of Portland.
Mrs. Taylor enjoyed music and politics and was an activist for her Northwest Portland neighborhood.
There will be a private service. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Altree
Camas
Margaret Altree, 90, born May 20, 1911, in Culbertson, Mont., and moved to Washougal when she was 13.
She graduated from Washougal High School. During World War II she drove trucks at the Vancouver shipyards. Mrs. Altree worked at the Turf Restaurant and Perfection Twine Co. and was a bus driver for the Camas School District.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Camas and a past member of the Power Squadron and Lady Skippers. She enjoyed deep sea fishing and traveling.
Her husband, Vance, Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret L. Bryant

A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas for Margaret L. Bryant, who Cemetery.
Mrs. Bryant was died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, in Phoenix. He was 43.
Survivors include his wife, Yvette, of Seattle; his mother and stepfather, Hilma and Glenn Hobson of Vancouver; his father and stepmother, Jack and Clara Dains of Heyburn, Idaho; one daughter, Nicole Dains of Twin Falls, Idaho; two sons, Joshua J. of Bonnie Lake, Wash., and Seth J. of Auburn, Wash.; two sisters, LuAnne Dains-Mohler of Auburn and Judy Morgan of Vancouver; four stepbrothers, Mark Heidiman of Pocatello, Idaho, Mark McAhren of Hansen, Idaho, Woody Heidiman of Heyburn and Matthew Heidiman of Black Diamond, Wash.; and two granddaughters.
Mr. Dains was Cemetery.
Wallace C. Ervin
Joplin, Mo.
Former Clark County resident Wallace "Wally" C. Ervin born Feb. 7, 1943, in Okmulgee, Okla., He lived in Vancouver from the mid-1970s until 1989 when he moved first to Montana and then to Missouri.
Mr. Ervin loved camping and fishing.
He last worked as a hotel manager in Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, at home; two daughters, Jessica Ervin of Bloomfield, N.J., and Katie Bliss of Stevenson; and two grandchildren.
There will be a private memorial service. His body will be cremated.
Virginia A. DeCou
Oxnard, Calif.
Former Vancouver resident Virginia A. DeCou born Aug. 14, 1920, in Spokane and lived in Oxnard the past six years. Her maiden name was Rice.
Her husband, Robert, died in 1988.
Survivors include one daughter, Valerie Hussung of Oxnard; one son, William of Vancouver; three sisters, Pearl Rosch of Simi Valley, Calif., Louise Rudarmel of Portland and Rosa Moore of White City, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. DeCou worked at Raytheon Corporation for 17 years and for Hughes for three years in Vancouver. She loved playing bingo.
A service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001. She was 75.
She was a member of Salmon Creek United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Walter F., death by a daughter, Laurie Hoover, in 1993, and a grandson, Tim Hoover, in 1986.
Mrs. Hoover was Cemetery in Portland. Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes in Portland is in charge of arrangements.

Alfones S. Kriko
Brush Prairie
Alfones S. Kriko, who retired in 1981 after working as a welder at FMC Corp. for 17 years, born Dec. 4, 1910, in Brush Prairie and lived in Clark County 86 years.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Lillian, at home; one daughter, Judy Hale of Eatonville, Wash.; one son, Jon of Brush Prairie; one sister, Alma Simonson of Brush Prairie; one brother, Alfred of Tigard, Ore.; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
The casket will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Friday, Dec. 28, 2001, at Hospice Care Center in Longview. She was 63.
Mrs. Levden was died in 1965.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald I., at home; four daughters, Starla R. Watson of Longview, Mary Humbyrd and Marjorie L. Humbyrd, both of Castle Rock, and Tara Levden of White Salmon, Wash.; four sons, Steven A. Humbyrd of Longview, Stanley L. Humbyrd and Stacey D. Humbyrd, both of Castle Rock, and Gerald D. Levden of White Salmon; two brothers, Dexter L. Chick of Castle Rock and Ronald D. Chick of Vancouver; one sister, Gail A. Gruber of Amboy; several grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
There will be a private gathering later. Columbia died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was 80.
Burial will be in Willamette National born Feb. 22, 1921, in Crosbyton, Texas. Her maiden name was Mulanax.
Her husband, Lester O., died of cancer at home Dec. 22, 2001. She was 54.
Survivors include her husband, Ed, at home; two daughters, Danielle Burton of Vancouver and La Dawn Daniels.
Mrs. McNamee was born July 13, 1947, in Seattle and moved to Vancouver in 1975. Her maiden name was Koko.
She worked in several restaurants in Clark County and for the past few years owned Accent Cleaning.
Mrs. McNamee was a member of Vancouver Elks Lodge 823, Moose Auxiliary 1774 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 7824. She was devoted to veterans and their issues.
She was a past parade chairman of Twin City Saddle Club and rode in many parades on her horse Sandy. She enjoyed exploring her celtic heritage and bagpipe music.
A celebration of her life will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7824.
