Dorothy A. Egaas
Monterey, Calif.
Former Clark County resident Dorothy Agnes Potter Egaas born March 14, 1912, in Walnut Ridge, Ark. She lived in Camas prior to moving to Redding, Calif., in 1951. Mrs. Egaas moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1999.
She was a teacher with the Redding Unified School District for 35 years.
She was very active in community events and was an accomplished musician and soloist.
Mrs. Egaas was involved with Eastern Star and served as a grand deputy for Rainbow for Girls in California. She was a member of the Republican Party in Washington.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Odmund, at home; one daughter, Judith Johnson of Carmel, Calif.; one son, Jon O. of Kennesaw, Ga.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be no service. The Paul Mortuary in Pacific Grove, Calif., was in charge of arrangements.
Rudolph L. Gross
Vancouver
A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Rudolph L. Gross, who born April 19, 1907, in Nez Perce, Idaho, and lived in Clark County 11 years.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda I., at home; one sister, Wilhelmina M. Kessi of Scappoose, Ore.; and one brother, Louis H. Gross of Mount Angel, Ore.
The casket will be open from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church before the service. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Mount Calvary died in a traffic accident while traveling in Baja California, Mexico Dec. 31, 2002. She was 53.
Mrs. Harrison attended Vancouver's Providence Academy and Hudson's Bay High School, where she graduated in 1966. She also attended the University of California at Davis and Portland State University.
She worked in interior design and real estate.
Mrs. Harrison was a volunteer in Portland for a number of charitable organizations including the Women's Crisis Hotline.
In recent years she was committed to assisting impoverished children in Mexico. She was also a court appointed special advocate for abused and neglected children in Multnomah County.
Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Mazama Club and had served on the board of directors of Pacific Crest Outward Bound School. She traveled extensively in Europe, Central America, the South Pacific and Nepal.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick Jr. of Portland and Adrian of Los Angeles; four brothers, Michael Gregg, Robert Gregg Jr., Gary Gregg and Peter Gregg, all of Vancouver; one sister, Heidi Nold of Ridgefield; and two grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will begin at 4 p.m Saturday at Chetham Hall at the World Forestry Center in Portland.

Bernice A. Hummels
Woodland
Bernice Angela Hummels born Dec. 17, 1908, in Goodland, Kan. She lived in Woodland since the 1960s.
Her husband, Francis, died in a Longview hospice Friday, Jan. 11, 2002. He was 65.
He worked as a security guard for the Port of Ridgefield.
His wife, Nadine, born June 14, 1936, in Librel, Kan., and last lived in Kalama.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Johnson of Woodland; two daughters, Pamela Zsoter of Sterling, Alaska, and Kathy Garcia of Portland; one stepdaughter, Susan Fish of Federal Way, Wash.; two foster daughters, Mia McCormick of Westwood, Calif., and Jonna Russel of Vancouver; one stepson, Daniel Fish of Richland, Wash.; two sisters, Darlene Randolph of Kalama and Mary Draper of Glenns Ferry, Idaho; two brothers, Ernest of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Lester of Milton, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Johnson was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed using his digital camera to take family pictures.
A celebration of life service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Vancouver Moose Lodge. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.

Edward C. Kuczek
Sedona, Ariz.
Former Clark County resident, Edward Clarence Kuczek, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, in a Longview care center. She was 85.
She was a waitress in South Dakota.
Mrs. Rise was a member of Highland Lutheran Church in Woodland and active with the quilter group. She was also a member of the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens Society in Woodland.
She was died in 1991.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Woodland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Wenona L. Sibert
Vancouver
A service will begin at 12:30 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Wenona L. Sibert, who died in 1981.
Mrs. Sibert was Cemetery.

Kaye W. Stinson
Battle Ground
Kaye "Bill" William Stinson born April 20, 1930, in Grand Rapids, Mich. He moved to Battle Ground in 1977.
A Navy veteran, he graduated from the University of Michigan. In the 1960s he was a Washington state representative serving the 7th District.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette, at home; two daughters, Heather Stinson of Battle Ground and Lauren Lindsay of Enumclaw, Wash.; four sons, William of Tacoma, Scott of Bellevue, Mark of Portland and Brian Stinson of Chandler, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
He was an avid fisherman and wrote three books on the subject. For the past 15 years he operated CI Tackle. Mr. Stinson liked to walk the family dog, Raven, in Lewisville Park.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m Saturday at the Church of the Good Shepherd.

Lorraine Welter

Lorraine Welter, a homemaker, born Aug. 31, 1925, in Roth, N.D. Mrs. Welter moved to Camas in 1942, to California in 1952 and returned to Clark County in 1959.
She was a member of Columbia Presbyterian Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Knight and Lori Wilgus, both of Vancouver; one son, Ken of Camas; four brothers, Laverne Guttu of Vancouver, Vernon Guttu of Camas, Marvin Guttu of Puyallup and Howard of Antioch, Calif.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Columbia Presbyterian Church, with burial in Camas Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
