Barbara Thom Leathers, a librarian for 38 years, died in 1993.
Mrs. Leathers was died of cancer Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at home. She was 73.
Her son, Lawrence, born March 24, 1928, in Elgin, Ill. Her maiden name was Young.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Joseph, at home; one daughter, Christine M. Eaton of Vancouver; four sons, Michael J. of Medway, Mass., Andrew V. and Jeffrey N., both of Vancouver, and Daniel S. of Carmichael, Calif.; four sisters, Nancy Krueger of Rockford, Ill., Sally Rattray of Algonquin, Ill., Julie Henderson of South Elgin, Ill., and Kathi Magerl of Cary, Ill.; five brothers, Tom Young of Florida, Jack Young of Iowa, Ed Young of West Dundee, Ill., and Gerry Young and Phil Young, both of Carpentersville, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Martini was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Sacramento, Calif. She was also a member of the Italian Catholic Federation and enjoyed quilting, singing, gardening, traveling and going to the opera.
A vigil service will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. A funeral Mass will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas.

Audrey J. Stevens
Woodland
Longtime Clark County resident Audrey J. Stevens born Oct. 18, 1931, in Webb, Saskatchewan. Her maiden name was Garner.
Survivors include her husband, Hal B., at home; two daughters, Julie Brown and Mary K. Baranske, both of Vancouver; two sons, Jeff and Mark, both of Vancouver; two sisters, Shirley Cooper of Auburn, Calif., and Mary Griep of Port Townsend, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and Susan Meikle Mandell of Vancouver, who lived with the Stevens family.
Mrs. Stevens, who was a member of First Church of God and director of global missions for the church. She was the church's Woman of the Year in 1966.
Mrs. Stevens worked at the Concrete Shop Inc.
Her body was cremated. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Vancouver Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Edward R. Schmick

Edward Richard Schmick, a well driller and heavy equipment operator, born May 20, 1934, in Martin, S.D., and had lived in Clark County for 26 years.
He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, metal working and welding.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Frieda M. at home; one daughter, Kimberly Kapp of Vancouver; six sisters, Clara Schreiner of Portland, Helen Schlager and Rae Satur, both of Denver, Caroline Knotts and Hilda Marlin, both of Gering, Neb., and Leah Schachter of Scottsbluff, Neb.; two brothers, Bill of Coarsegold, Calif., and Jake of Scottsbluff.
A funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. today at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home. The casket will be open from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. before the funeral.
Burial will be in Willamette National died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, in La Center. She was 93.
Her husband, Homar, born June 29, 1909, in Newman, Kan., and lived in Clark County 40 years. Her maiden name was Harding.
Survivors include one daughter, Erma J. Banks of Vancouver; three sons, Marvin of Woodland, Gilbert of Yacolt and Danny of Goldendale, Wash.; one sister, Viola Sumpter of Seattle; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Weese enjoyed reading, word puzzles, quilting and crocheting. She also liked gardening, canning and baking.
Burial will be in Frank Abel died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, in Vancouver. She was 84.

Robert F. Fich

Robert Frederick Fich, who worked for Fiber Web in Washougal for 37 years, born July 28, 1947, in Vancouver and lived in Clark County all his life.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Anneice, at home; two sons, Tim of Vancouver and Troy of Washougal; three brothers, Leroy of Ridgefield, and Alfred and Frank, both of Vancouver; and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at a Battle Ground care center after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
He was died in 1999.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Liberty Bible Church of the Nazarene. A private graveside service will be at Park Hill died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in Battle Ground. He was 74.
Mr. Irwin was a barber for 20 years at Roy's OK Barber Shop on 39th Street in Vancouver. He also worked as a custodian at Freightliner for 17 years.
Son, Irwin, died in 1988.

Mr. Plamondon was a garment worker at White Stag and a member of the United Garment Workers of America, Local 228.
His son, David, preceded him in born June 7, 1920, in Plamondon, Alberta, Canada.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor of Vancouver; and one brother, Marten.
Mr. Plamondon enjoyed woodworking, especially making wooden bowls. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
