John Peter Ripp, who moved to Cowlitz County in 1939, born April 26, 1917, in Lorretta, Neb.
Mr. Ripp was a grader operator for the Cowlitz County Road Department before retiring in 1979.
An avid horseman, he enjoyed being a dairy farmer and hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Woodland.
His wife of 60 years, Cleda, died Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at a local care center. She was 55.
Mrs. Bannerman was died Friday, May 17, 2002, in Vancouver.
Mrs. Getty was Cemetery. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Vancouver Funeral Chapel for Delano F. Gonzalez, 19, who died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Vancouver.
Mr. Green was death by his son, Michael.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Patricia, at home; two daughters, Lori Bird of Rupert, Idaho, and Lisa Green of Pocatello, Idaho; three sons, Thomas and Edward, both of Vancouver and Brett of American Falls, Idaho; his mother, Verna Green of Pocatello, Idaho; three sisters, Audrey Richardson of Hagerman, Idaho, LaRue Hendricks of Pocatello, Idaho, and Marie Hill of Blackfoot, Idaho; numerous grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial will be private following the memorial service.

A seamstress and member of the Catholic church who enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren, Carmen E. Leon, 80, born Aug. 4, 1921, in Mexico and moved to Vancouver in 1986. Her maiden name was Encinas.
Survivors include two daughters, Martha Pena and Anna Douglas, both of Vancouver; one son, Joe of Vancouver; two sisters, Isabelle Encinas and Domitilla Encinas, both of Mexico; one brother, Emanuel Encinas of Mexico; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday and a funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Shirley M. Moers

A 31-year resident of Clark County who enjoyed painting, traveling and collecting angels and dragons, Shirley May Moers, born Dec. 21, 1936, in Kansas City, Mo. She spent time in the manufacturing industry and was working as a nurse's assistant when she retired in 1988.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her maiden name was Dykes.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Bernard A., at home; two daughters, Dorinda J. Taylor of Maine and Bernie Ann Williams of Vancouver; three sons, Jack L. Burns II of Woodland, and David W. and Michael L. Burns, both of Vancouver; four sisters, Kay J. Earle of Glastonbury, Conn., Kentucky R. Fanning of Japan, Toni R. Grewing of Everett, Wash. and Virginia Moore of Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, George A. Dykes, of Kansas City, Mo., Odis "Butch" K. Dykes of Kansas City, Kan., and Steven A. Dykes of Redmond, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private following the service.

A secretary who lived in Vancouver the past 67 years, Wanda Rose Reed, born May 7, 1935, in Vancouver.
She was preceded in died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in Vancouver.
Mr. Shoemaker was died in 1998. A daughter, Hanna, Cemetery.
Eleanor R. Tyrpak

Eleanor Ruth Tyrpak, 81, born Sept. 22, 1920, in Blue Mountain, Miss.
Survivors include her husband, Alex, at home; and one son, John M. of Lahaini, Hawaii.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Park Hill died Saturday, May 18, 2002, when a chartered fishing boat he was on capsized just outside the Tillamook Bay jetty.
Mr. Campbell was a supervisor in commercial construction.
He was Cemetery. The casket will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground.
Sherry O. Cronin

Sherry O. Cronin, a bookkeeper at a tax preparation company, born Aug. 19, 1942, in Knoxville, Tenn. She lived in Vancouver 23 years before moving to Portland 31 years ago. Her maiden name was Wiley.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, William "Bill, " at home; one son, Matthew of Portland; one sister, Nancy Hendricks of Vancouver; and one brother, Anthony Wiley of Washougal.
Mrs. Cronin, who graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1960, was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Portland and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafts, golfing and bowling.
A service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
