Retired Port of Vancouver manager, Kenneth M. Engebretsen, born Feb. 16, 1907, in Rainier, Ore.
A member of Vancouver Elks Lodge 823 and Orchard Hills Golf and Country Club, he enjoyed golfing and dancing.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
His wife, Doris, preceded him in died May 16, 2002, in Wichita. He was 81.
He was died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in a Cathlamet care center. She was 91.
Her husband, Earl C., preceded her in born May 7, 1911, in Troy, Kansas. She moved to Cathlamet from Vancouver in 1986.
She worked as a clerk at the Woolworth's store in Vancouver for several years. She retired in 1970.
Mrs. Gibbons loved traveling throughout the United States. She liked square dancing, sewing and gardening.
Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte L. Hegstad of Puget Island, Wash.; one son, Richard E. of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Dowling Funeral Home in Cathlamet.

Donna Hampton
Amboy
A longtime Amboy schoolteacher, Donna Hampton, was shot to born April 6, 1957, in Portland. She lived in Winlock, Wash., before moving to the Amboy area 22 years ago. Her maiden name was Mower.
A graduate of Central Washington University in 1979, she was a teacher with the Battle Ground School District. She was a fifth grade teacher and had taught 22 years at Amboy Middle School.
Mrs. Hampton loved working with animals, gardening, hiking, skiing, sailing and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; her mother, Ellen Mower of Winlock; and one sister, JoAnn Graves of Oakville, Wash.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Winlock United Methodist Church. There will also be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday at Amboy Middle School gymnasium, 22115 N.E. Chelatchie Road. Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock is in charge of arrangements.

Severt L. Jacobson

Severt L. Jacobson born Oct. 11, 1919, in Veblen, S.D., and lived in Vancouver the past 40 years.
He was a parts clerk for Bill Marshall Ford in Vancouver and Joe Fisher Ford in Portland before retiring in 1988.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Sons of Norway, Kiwanis Club and Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys M., at home; two daughters, Corrine Jacobson-Shepley and Gail Hankel, both of Vancouver; two sons, David L. of Moses Lake, Wash., and James C. of Vancouver; one sister, Vivian Wassen of Salem; and four grandchildren.
His daughter, Joanne B. Jacobson, Cemetery. The casket will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.

Floriene E. Lovette

Floriene E. Lovette, who loved gourmet cooking and collecting recipes, born Nov. 15, 1920, in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and lived in Clark County 71 years. Her maiden name was Allen.
Survivors include her husband, Daryl J., at home; two daughters, Dee Memering of Vancouver and Peggy Hermes of Salem; one son, Larry of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lovette was active in her Christian faith for 52 years.
There will be a private burial in Park Hill died of cancer Wednesday, May 15, 2002, in Camas. He was 56.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Marysville, Wash. Burial will be in Grand View born May 27, 1945, in Grangeville, Idaho, and lived in Camas the past two and one-half years.
Survivors include his wife, Melodye, at home; one daughter, Heather Bryant of Kingston, Wash.; three sons, Michael of Tacoma, Daniel of Madras, Ore., and David of Camas; one sister, Linda Murphy of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Rick of Manzanita, Ore., and Harold of Phoenix; and 13 grandchildren.
Margaret Sayers

Margaret Sayers, who sold Tupperware for many years, died in 1980.
Mrs. Sayers was died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at home. The Clark County Medical Examiner's Office is waiting for toxicology results to determine the case of born Oct. 10, 1974, in Chicago. Her maiden name was Barry.
She worked as an emergency medical technician in Tennessee.
Mrs. Rich was a Catholic and enjoyed fishing and collecting baseball cards.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip, at home; her mother and stepfather, Jeanne and Jose Rascon of Clarksville, Tenn.; her father and stepmother, Thomas and Sue Barry of Chicago; five daughters, Anna, Amanda, Jamie, Allison and Jacqueline, all at home; one son, James, at home; and one brother, Thomas J. Barry of Chicago.
There will be a service and burial in Chicago. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Billy "Bill" Gene Phillips, a retired fork lift operator, born Feb. 14, 1943, in Franklin, N.C., and lived in Vancouver the past seven years.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Verena, at home; one daughter, Laurena Pierce of Kelso; one son, Greg of Florida; four stepsons, Dennis Weissenfluh of Washougal, Dean Weissenfluh of Spokane, David Weissenfluh of Longview and Daniel Weissenfluh of Castle Rock; three sisters, Evelyn Ivanoff, Diane Grijalya and Dale Hansen, all of Longview; four brothers, Lenard, Donny and Kenny, all of Longview, and Alvin of Seattle; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
There will be a private gathering. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
