Frances Helen Schwehr, who enjoyed reading, painting and drawing, born May 17, 1948, in Tillamook, Ore., and lived in Vancouver the past 27 years.
She loved her cats and was an old-movie buff.
Survivors include her father, Jacob "Jay" H. Schwehr of Cannon Beach, Ore.
The casket will be open Thursday from 9 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home.

Merle Tandy
Camas
Merle Tandy born July 15, 1923, in Salem, Ore. Mr. Tandy was raised in the Salem area and resided in Camas before moving to Seattle in 1955. He returned to Camas in 1975.
Mr. Tandy was an Army veteran of World War II and received a Purple Heart.
He worked for the Hockins Construction Co. in Seattle in bridge construction for several years. He later worked as a real estate broker and built two of his homes in Camas.
Mr. Tandy was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed farming, gardening and making wine.
Survivors include his wife Veda, at home; one daughter, Nicola Brood of Washougal; two sons, Duane of Sumner, Wash., and Brian of Vancouver; one brother, Orville of Lakewood, Wash.; one sister, Violet Olheiser of Keizer, Ore.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Camas died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at home. He was 62.
Mr. Taylor, a pilot for Delta Airlines for 31 years, had lived in Battle Ground since 1998. He was died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, in Vancouver. He was 85.
A Vancouver resident since 1957, Mr. Wheeler enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening and was a member of the Moose Lodge. He was Cemetery in Ridgefield.

Charles E. Colton

Former Vancouver resident Charles E. Colton, who once owned Charlie's TV Repair, died in 2001.
Mr. Colton was died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. He was 76.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor M., at home.
Mr. Copps was an Episcopalian and a member of Vancouver Rotary Club, Royal Oaks Country Club, Elks Lodge 823 and Smith-Reynolds Post 14 of the American Legion.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Acacia died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, in a University Place care center. She was 89.
Mrs. Fugitt was death in 1990.
Mrs. Fugitt, a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, golf, playing bridge, music, reading and traveling in an RV.
Survivors include two daughters, Terry Huber of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Sally Fosnick of Lakewood, Wash.; two sons, Jim of Longview and John of Portland; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park and Crematory. Private burial will be in Longview Memorial Park.

A service will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at Rose Valley Friends Church in Kelso for Michael "Mike" Roy Jabusch, who born Oct. 20, 1945, in Kelso.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret R., at home; one daughter, Denise Quigley of Covington, La.; one son, Kirk of Vancouver; two sisters, Dolores "Lory" Culbertson of Kelso and Jenny Murphy of Longview; two brothers, Steve and John, both of Kelso; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Jabusch enjoyed working outdoors and was a sports fan.
The casket will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cascade Funeral Home in Kelso.

He was death in 1998, and a daughter, Margaret J. Bigoni, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, in Vancouver. He was 85.
Mr. Mowrey was the supervisor of maintenance for Phillips Chiropractic Clinic for 20 years.
He was born July 9, 1917, in Shenandoah, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dolores, at home; two daughters, Pamela M. Phillips of Vancouver and Marilyn Walker of Lebanon, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Mowrey was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion of Lebanon. He was a past Eastern Star worthy patron.
He loved dancing with his wife, and liked gardening and woodworking.
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
