The owner of Children's Village day care center, Nanci A. Mills, 57, born Oct. 12, 1944, in Portland. Her maiden name was Bjore.
She was a member of the Vancouver Tennis Center and enjoyed sewing and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis R., at home; one daughter, Debra J. Cary of Homer, Alaska; one son, Steven of West Linn, Ore.; one brother, Paul Bjore of Hillsboro, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Betty M. Walker
Vancouver
A homemaker and member of the First Church of God, Betty M. Walker, 74, born June 20, 1927, in Richland, Ore. She lived in Portland for 30 years before moving to Vancouver six months ago. She enjoyed going to church, her animals, and shopping.
Her husband, Gordon, died May 21.
Burial will be at Riverview died Friday, May 24, 2002, in Vancouver. He was 89.
Mr. Boothby lived in Vancouver the past 61 years. He was died in 2002.
Mr. Boothby was foreman for Boise Cascade for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Loueene, at home; two sons, Ken of Washougal and Steve of Vancouver; one sister, Elma Christman of Renton, Wash.; one brother, Roy of Portland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The casket will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. A funeral will begin at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Thursday, May 23, 2002, in Vancouver.
His wife of 48 years, Stella, born June 14, 1919, in Alpaugh, Calif., and had lived in the area since 1990.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Craig of Camas; one sister, Martha Stone of Glendora, Calif.; one brother, Walter of Show Low, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Craig enjoyed horse and dog racing, reading and cooking.
There will be a private service.

Alfred L. Haij
Vancouver
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Abbey Funeral Home in Portland for Alfred L. Haij, who born Jan. 8, 1917, in Los Angeles and moved to Vancouver in 1991.
He is survived by his wife, Marian L., at home; one son, David of Vancouver; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Haij, a member of Felida Baptist Church, had a large collection of railroad pictures and memorabilia.
There will be a private entombment at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.

Iola Hopkins
Stevenson
Former Camas resident Iola Hopkins born March 17, 1920, in Clovis, N.M.
She worked as a preacher, nurse and barber.
Mrs. Hopkins enjoyed bowling and won several trophies. She also liked playing cards and teaching others to play. Mrs. Hopkins attended Faith Tabernacle Church in Stevenson and was in church on Mother's Day.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda M. Jensen of Stevenson; three sons, Robert L. of North Bonneville, Kenneth L. and Edwin P., both of Stevenson; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Faith Tabernacle Church. Burial will be in Stevenson born and died Sunday, May 26, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 81.
Mrs. Judd was died in 1998. Her husband, Elmer, Cemetery.

Marguerite A. Lentz
Battle Ground
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Battle Ground for Marguerite Lentz, who died in 1999. A daughter, Josette Cate, born Feb. 23, 1918, in Fort Spokane, Wash., and lived in Clark County the past eight years. Her maiden name was Arcasa.
Survivors include one daughter, Marcella Redthunder-Cryderman of Battle Ground; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lentz taught in the Native American school system in Alaska, Washington and Oregon. She loved music and was a pianist and singer. She enjoyed caring for farm animals.
Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.
Edward B. Lee
Portland
Edward Beresford Lee, who lived in Clark County for about 25 years, born Feb. 15, 1914, in Bermuda. He lived in Portland the past two years.
Mr. Lee, a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana, served in the Marine Corps and the Army.
He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Texas and for the Veterans Administration in Portland for 25 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra M. Lee; three sons, Edward Jr. and Reginald, both of Vancouver, and Barry of Portland; and four grandchildren.
A service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
