A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at The Waterford at Fairway Village for Edward Henry Brocker Jr., who born Dec. 3, 1918, in Omaha, Neb. He lived in Vancouver from 1969 to 1978 and returned in March 1998.
After he retired as an Army staff sergeant, he worked on military contracts for Coast Packing Co. in Portland and at the Defense Logistics Agency at the Naval Air Station in Alameda, Calif.
His wife, Rosalyn, Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Matthew L. DuPree
Vancouver
Matthew L. DuPree, a student and lifelong Vancouver resident, born April 20, 1983, in Vancouver.
Survivors include his mother, Linda DuPree of Vancouver; his father, Bill DuPree of Vancouver; one stepsister, Jessica Kreighbaum of Vancouver; one brother, Mike of Vancouver; and grandparents Dena Ritchardson of Vancouver and Lois and Don Howard of Cambridge, Idaho.
Mr. DuPree enjoyed camping, riding dirt bikes and playing pool.
A graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died in a tractor-trailer accident in Louisville, Ky., July 17, 2002. He was 44.
Mr. Gierke is survived by his wife, Jeanne S. Gierke, at home; his parents, Elsie and Earl Gierke of Libby, Mont.; one daughter, Kalla L., at home; one son, William Sanford, at home; one sister, Patty Gierke of Libby; and one brother, David of Frenchtown, Mont.
Mr. Gierke was died with him in the truck.
A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Kallaco Feed and Supply in Woodland.

A commercial concrete worker, Jay Steven Kammer took his life Sunday, July 21, 2002, in Ridgefield. He was 39.
He was Cemetery in Ridgefield. Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.
Harry L. Larson
Vancouver
Harry L. Larson, who lived in Gray's River for many years, born July 23, 1915, at K-M logging camp near Gray's River and lived in Vancouver the past two years.
Mr. Larson started working for the Lower Columbia Dairy Association at the Gray's River plant and in 1961 was appointed general manager of the dairy association in Astoria. He was transferred to Portland and became general manager of Darigold until he retired in 1980.
He was active in the community in the Gray's River area. He enjoyed traveling and studying about American natives, explorers and pioneers of the Northwest.
His wife, Lenore, died July 17, 2002, in Vancouver. He was 73.
Mr. McHargue was died July 17, 2002, at Southwest Washington Medical Center of heart problems. He was 80.
Mr. West was a purchasing agent for Fruehauf Corp.
He was died Sunday, July 21, 2002, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was 68.
Mrs. Willis was died in 1977; her husband, Merle Willis, Cemetery. Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

A 12-year Battle Ground resident and homemaker, Louise Winters death.
Mrs. Winters was died at a local nursing home Sunday, July 21, 2002. She was 83.
Her husband, Paul, born Oct. 10, 1918, in Sunflower, Miss. Her maiden name was Williams.
Survivors include one daughter, Margarette Wylie of Apex, Texas; two sons, Henry Jackson Jr. of Toledo, Ohio, and Thomas Worley of Peoria, Ill.; one sister, Annie Bell Kennedy of Houston; one brother, Robert Williams of Mond Bayou, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, followed by burial at Park Hill died July 19, 2002, in a Rainier, Ore., hospital of a heart attack. She was 78.

Mrs. Meyer lived in Clatskanie for about 20 years.
She was born June 19, 1924, in Galesburg, Ill.

Survivors include three daughters, Marcia Seidt of Eureka, Calif., Wendy Hitchcock of Rainier, and Diane Gadowry of Willmington, Del.; two sons, Robert Jr. of Aromas, Calif., and Gordon of Longview; two sisters, Mildred Marsden of Vancouver and Shirley McSherry of Clatskanie; one brother, Robert Perry of Belmont, Mich.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
