Elaine Rygg, a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, born Nov. 20, 1917, in Portland and lived in Vancouver the past 40 years. Her maiden name was McNeil.
Survivors include three daughters, Launa Wood and Donell Morley, both of Vancouver, and Trudy Glenn of Portland; seven grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at the home of her daughter, Launa Wood. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Frances Almo

Frances Almo born Oct. 21, 1916. She lived 56 years in Bremerton, Wash., before moving to Seattle in 1976. She moved to Vancouver in 1998.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Leo, at home; two daughters, Nancy Lee-Almo of Vancouver and Colleen Stuber; one son, Manuel; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Almo loved baking and cooking. She also liked knitting and sewing, and was a ceramic artist.
A funeral was Thursday in Seattle, followed by burial at Sephardic Brotherhood Jewish died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, in Brush Prairie. She was 82.
A private burial will be Monday in Ilwaco born Feb. 19, 1920, in Brady, Mont. She lived in Clark County 45 years. Her maiden name was Stegeman.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynda K. Davis of Brush Prairie; one son, Larry A. of Vancouver; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Barnard enjoyed crafts, gardening, traveling and watching Lawrence Welk and Portland wrestling on television. She loved her dog, Tosha.

Robert F. Fich

A graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, in Vancouver. He was 55.
Mr. Fich worked for Fiber Web in Washougal for 37 years.
He enjoyed taking his grandchildren to Long Beach and Lacamas Lake.
He collected spoons from different countries, and enjoyed puzzles and basset hounds.
He was died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, in Battle Ground. He was 70.
Mr. Foster was died of multiple sclerosis Dec. 23, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 57.
A member of Mill Plain United Methodist Church, she was a senior youth director and sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and water skiing.

Barbara E. Parrott

There will be a private graveside service for Barbara E. Parrott, 91, who born Nov. 28, 1911, in Kansas City, Kan., and lived in Vancouver since 1942.
Mrs. Parrott was a kindergarten teacher for 25 years. She taught at Harney and Eisenhower elementary schools and once was selected Teacher of the Year.
She loved flower gardening and sewing. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Her husband, Bruce, died Jan. 11, 2003, at her Grants Pass home.
She was 92.
