A daughter, Vera Altergott, also preceded her in died of prostate cancer Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at home. He was 80.
Mr. Groepper was died of cancer July 19, 2002, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was 40.
Miss Henthorn was died Sunday, July 21, 2002, in Longview. She was 66.
Mrs. Johnson lived in Woodland the past 13 years. She was died Sunday, July 21, 2002, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. He was 87.
Mr. Mathis was died Sunday, July 21, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 82.
Mrs. Minnick was married William Minnick and was a homemaker in Spokane until they retired and moved to Vancouver in 1984.
Survivors include her husband, William, at home; one son, Loren Minnick of Portland; and three grandchildren.
There will be a private service. Ross-Hollywood Chapel in Portland is in charge of arrangements.

Isabelle Dorothy Brown, 93, death.
She was Entombment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum in Portland.
Gene Bowers

Gene "Spud" Bowers born March 31, 1925, in Berkeley, Calif. He moved to Vancouver 11 years ago.
Mr. Bowers worked for General Motors for more than 30 years. He served as a radio operator in the Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Lorain "Lory, " at home; two sons, Greg of Livermore, Calif., and Russ of Orange Park, Fla.; one sister, Marie Stewart of Arizona; three brothers, Art Severn, Bill Severn and Bob Severn, all of California; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Mr. Bowers enjoyed bowling, singing and working crossword puzzles.
There will be no service. His body was cremated.

Barbara J. Johnson

Barbara Jean Johnson, who was a third-grade teacher, born Aug. 8, 1935, in Terre Haute, Ind. Her maiden name was Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Carl A., at home; one daughter, Shelly Harnisch of Omaha, Neb.; one son, Roby Johnson of Woodland; two sisters, Elizabeth "Peggy" Barron and Nola Jacobs, both of Woodland; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Highland Lutheran Church in La Center. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
