Hilma Montgomery

A resident of the area since 1972, Hilma Montgomery, born April 20, 1920, in Lovell, Wyo. Her maiden name was McArthur.
She retired from the U.S. Department of Interior as an executive secretary in 1981. She later sold real estate in Portland and Hood River, Ore.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet Oster of Vancouver and Claudia Haag of Portland; two sisters, Idella Armstrong of San Diego and Lola G. Rollins of Brigham City, Utah; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Montgomery participated in Focus on Mature Learning and was a volunteer for the Columbia Arts Center. She enjoyed yoga and dancing.
There was a private service. Her body was cremated. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. today at Vancouver Funeral Chapel for Mildred "Vickie" A. Moore, who born Sept. 11, 1931, in Briggsdale, Colo. Her maiden name was Baldon.
Survivors include one daughter, Chris Winit of Camas; two sons, Randy Poulsen of Portland and Gene Poulsen of Fernley, Nev.; two brothers, Lawrence Baldon of Denver and Donald Baldon of Mesquite, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Michael J. Orso

Michael J. Orso, 41, who worked for the city of Vancouver, born Aug. 13, 1961, in New Orleans, La., and lived in Vancouver 13 years.
Mr. Orso, a Navy veteran, loved sports and liked golf.
Survivors include his mother, Connie Bynum of Vancouver; one daughter, Spencer M. Orso of Vancouver; one son, David of Vancouver; two stepsons, Bryan Scott and Kenneth Scott, both of Vancouver; and two sisters, Annette Williams of Duarte, Calif., and Lynn Zapata of Vancouver.
There was a private service.
Vera D. Trout
Gresham, Ore.
Former Clark County resident, Vera Davee Trout, a former clerk at Meier & Frank in Portland, death.
Mrs. Trout was died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, in Vancouver. He was 71.
Mr. White worked at Harry's Locksmith for more than 30 years.
He was Cemetery in Portland.

Dennis A. Balabon

Dennis Andrew Balabon, an ironworker for Universal Structural Inc. in Vancouver, born May 8, 1948, in Vancouver and was a lifelong resident of Clark County.
He is survived by a sister, Doris Balabon of Vancouver; and one brother, James Balabon.
Mr. Balabon enjoyed fishing, camping, watching sports and visiting the Washington coast. He was a member of Ironworkers Shopmens, Local 516.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Carl A. Bauer
Ridgefield
A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, in a Vancouver care center. He was 90.
Mr. Bauer, a farmer, worked for the Port of Vancouver for 16 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He enjoyed socializing.
Mr. Bauer was Cemetery for Walter W. Beatty, who born Feb. 15, 1920, in Vancouver and lived in Clark County all his life.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia E., at home; one daughter, Sandra L. Klump of Vancouver; one sister, Verna L. Ripley of Vancouver; and two grandchildren.
Mr. Beatty, who graduated from Vancouver High School in 1939, was an Army veteran of World War II.
The casket will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Vancouver Funeral Chapel.

Linda J. Gyenes

Linda Jean Gyenes, who lived in Clark County for the past 23 years, born March 6, 1950, in Pittsburgh.
Survivors include one sister, Betty S. Kellogg of Ariel; and one brother, Steve Gyenes of Woodville, Texas.
Miss Gyenes raised birds and loved her dog, Missy, and going to the beach.
