Charlarae "Charlie" DeMaris born Nov. 15, 1962, in Moses Lake and lived in Vancouver off and on for the past two years. Her maiden name was Cox.
Survivors include her husband, Michael of Salem, Ore.; her mother, Sheila Reid of Florida; two daughters, Annalisha and Amberlynn, both of Portland; one sister, Carol of Florida; and one brother, Clyde Jr. of Reno, Nev.
She enjoyed singing, sports, gardening and horseback riding. Mrs. DeMaris was a member of Vancouver Moose Lodge.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Foursquare Church, 2235 N.E. 82nd St., Portland.

Margaret M. "Joie" Dolling, who was a lineworker at Precision Castparts, death.
Mrs. Dolling was Cemetery in Portland.

Raymond Malfait, 76, a cattle rancher, born Jan. 12, 1926, in Mount Pleasant.

Gerald R. Meyer

Retired owner and operator of Jerry's Tire Store for 37 years, Gerald R. Meyer born Jan. 17, 1934, in Mason City, Iowa.
He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, hunting, woodworking and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Meyer, at home; three daughters, Janet Harte, Sandi Pointer and Diane Gibson, all of Vancouver; two sons, Jerry and Roger, both of Vancouver; his sister, Sally Cramer of Vancouver; his very close friend, Don Ray of Vancouver; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The casket will be open from noon to 8 p.m. today at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The body will be cremated.

Ronald L. Mathers

Ronald Lee "Red" Mathers, who was retired, born Aug. 26, 1940, in Denver.
Survivors include three stepdaughters, Tania Poe of Vancouver and Megan and Michelle, both of The Dalles, Ore.
He served in the Coast Guard for many years before working for Alcoa.
He raised pigs when he lived in The Dalles.
There will be a gathering at 2 p.m. Sunday at 4210 N.E. 50th St.

Alice M. McCalip

Alice M. McCalip, who was a housekeeper, born April 16, 1946, in Tacoma.
Survivors include her husband, Dean, at home; her mother, Frances Stewart of Vancouver; one daughter, Tina Henderson of Vancouver; one son, Tony Henderson of Vancouver; one brother, Jack W. Stewart of Florida; and 11 grandchildren.
Mrs. McCalip enjoyed watching drag races.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel.

Glen F. Lollis, a riding instructor, born Aug. 28, 1930, in Warwick, N.D.
Survivors include his mother, Florence K. Lollis of Spokane; one sister, Carmilla Hanson of Vancouver; and one brother, Norb of Spokane.
There will be no service. His body was cremated.
F. Lester Pollard
Kooskia, Idaho
Fred Lester "Les" Pollard born Jan. 4, 1944, in Everett.
He lived in Vancouver from 1963 to 1990.
Mr. Pollard was a musician and played with the band Shilo.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia, at home; two sons, John of Battle Ground and Randy of Washougal.
His body was cremated. There will be no service. Trenary Funeral Home in Kooskia is in charge of arrangements.
Robert L. Quackenbush
Woodland
Robert Lester Quackenbush born June 28, 1928, in Rochester, N.Y. He moved from Lake Elsinore, Calif., to Woodland in April to live with his daughter.
He was an aerospace engineer for 35 years and last worked at Rockwell in California.
Survivors include two daughters, Vickie Quintrell of Woodland and Laura Hammer of Vancouver; one stepdaughter, Kathi Blakely-Gonzales of Tustin, Calif.; two stepsons, James Blakely of Pasadena, Calif., and Stephen Blakely of Highland Ranch, Colo.; and 13 grandchildren.
There will be a service in California.
Mr. Quackenbush was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a Babe Ruth baseball coach for many years and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid golfer and loved dogs.
Charles E. Roberts
La Center
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. today at Green Mountain Baptist Church in Woodland for Charles Edward Roberts, who born Dec. 9, 1905, in Mountain View, Wyo. He moved to La Center from California in 1993.
His wife of 67 years, Blanche, death by a daughter, Carol LaBonte, in 1985 and two grandsons, Matthew LaBonte in 1991 and Stephen LaBonte in 1996.
Mr. Roberts owned the Fixit Shop in Berkeley for more than 30 years. He loved gardening and baseball. He was a member of Green Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include two grandsons, Larry LaBonte of La Center and Kenneth LaBonte of Antioch, Calif.; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Former Vancouver resident Raymond G. Roy Sr. born Feb. 22, 1942, in Manchester.
He lived in Vancouver for several years and was a resident of Manchester and Goffstown most of his life.
He worked as an assistant supervisor of environmental services for Groton School in Groton, Mass.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary, at home; his mother, Lena Walsh of Manchester; two daughters, Deborah Lemire of Manchester and Pearl Parent of Vancouver; one son, Raymond G. Roy Jr. of Vancouver; one brother, Richard of Manchester; and two grandchildren.
