Ida J. Conrad, who lived in Vancouver since 1972, born Nov. 15, 1921, in New Bridge, Ore.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Hess of Scappoose, Ore., Kay Bowling of Silver Lake, Wash., and Kathi Conrad of Kelso; two sons, Dennis and Christopher both of Vancouver; four sisters, Carol Feris and Leota Balch, both of Woodland, Juanita Deyerle of Glendale, Calif., and Florestine Snyder of Spokane; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Orchards Seventh-day Adventist Church. Inurnment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery for Floyd P. McFadin Jr. who born July 17, 1922, in Graham, Texas, and had lived in Sacramento, Calif., for many years before moving to Vancouver in March. An engineer for the state of California before his retirement, he served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He enjoyed golfing and playing the saxophone and clarinet. Mr. McFadin loved Dixieland jazz and was a member of the Sacramento Jazz Society. He was also a member of Capital City Masonic Lodge 499 and New Hope Chapter 117 of the Order of Eastern Star.
His wife, Mae M., died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, in Vancouver.
Mr. Ricker was died in 2000.
Survivors include his mother, Beverly Ann Ramey of Vancouver; his father, Clyde Ricker of Bremerton; and three sisters, Margaret Beslanowitch of Brush Prairie, Sheila Finn of Vancouver and Linda Ricker of Yakima.
The casket will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home. Rosary will begin at 6 tonight. The funeral Mass will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by burial in St. James Acres.

Charles L. Tallmon Sr.
Ridgefield
There will be a private service for Charles "Chuck" L. Tallmon Sr., who born July 10, 1920, in Portland and lived in Clark County nearly all his life.
He was a maintenance engineer and construction supervisor in commercial construction. Mr. Tallmon was a volunteer with the Ridgefield Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed fishing, clam digging and the beach. He was a Ridgefield girl's softball coach.
Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.
Vida M. Warner
Vancouver
Vida M. Warner, a Vancouver resident since 1940, born July 11, 1914, in Independence, Okla. Her maiden name was Leon.
Her husband, Ralph J., died in 1992.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy McChesney and Lois Tomlinson, both of Vancouver; two sons, Larry and Gary, both of Vancouver; two brothers, Randall Leon of Salem, Ore., and Ray Leon of Brookings, Ore.; 16 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Warner worked for the Washington State Extension Office from 1957 and 1976.
She was a member of the Church of God and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, knitting and traveling.
A service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. The casket will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.

Ruth E. Sloan
King City, Ore.
Former Clark County resident, Ruth Edith Sloan, born July 12, 1916, in Spokane. Her maiden name was Sherwood.
She died in 1949.
She began teaching when she was only 16 and continued in the education field until she retired in 1977. She earned a master's degree in education administration from Oregon College of Education in Monmouth.
Mrs. Sloan and her husband joined the Mobile Missionary Assistance Program and traveled to various locations throughout the United States working on nonprofit building and construction projects.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Virgil, at home; four daughters, Louise Reichert of St. Petersburg, Fla., Donna Krauthoefer of Tigard, Judy Sloan of Puyallup, Wash., and Beth Ross of Ventura, Calif.; three sons, David of Seattle, Ron of Salem, N.Y., and Richard of Pasco; one sister, Rita Sherwood of Renton, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 16, at Tigard Methodist Church. Young's Funeral Home in Tigard is in charge of arrangements.

Jean L. Wilson
Battle Ground
Jean Lucille Wilson, a caregiver who had worked with CDM Home Health Care, born Feb. 22, 1930, in San Francisco and had lived in Clark County for 25 years.
She enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening, hummingbirds and going to the beach. She also enjoyed scooters, bicycles and loved her skateboarder shoes.
A member of the Society of Washington Artists for many years she served in many areas including holding the office of president and vice president from 1999 until 2001.
She encouraged other artists and arranged many workshops, including overseeing and organizing the Fine Art department of the Clark County Fair for several years.
She was preceded in died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, in Vancouver. She was 91.
Burial will be at Rose Hills born May 21, 1911, in Box Elder County, Utah. Her maiden name was Nowotny.
Her husband, Lawrence B., death.
Survivors include one daughter, Janet Humutoff of Yorba Linda, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren.
Edwin B. Erickson
Vancouver
A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002, in Vancouver. He was 89.
Mr. Erickson worked in many sales positions including auto sales.
He was died in a motor vehicle accident Sunday, Sept. 8, 2002, in Battle Ground. He was 17.
Ryan, a senior at Battle Ground High School, liked skateboarding, hiking, fishing and listening to music.
He was died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, in Olympia. He was 70.
Mr. Harris was a retired port manager for Toyota Motor Co.
His wife, Norma T., born April 4, 1932, in Clinton, Ark. He lived in Vancouver 25 years before moving to Chehalis five years ago.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca A. Harris of Salem, Ore.; three sons, John M. of Vancouver, Robert E. of Monroe, Wash., and Carl F.T. of Chehalis; three sisters, Ida R. Jones of Pottsville, Ark., and Ruth Hiser and Katherine Braaten, both of Long Beach, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Harris was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Chehalis.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel, followed by burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. The casket will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
