Roger T. Trenda

Roger Tony Trenda, a Navy veteran of World War II who enjoyed walking, working in his yard and spending time with his family, born Nov. 3, 1926, in Lankin, N.D., and moved to Vancouver in 1962. He worked as a machine operator at an oil refinery and also at Portco. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 14, 40 et 8, Sons of Norway, Columbia Lodge 58 and Elks Lodge 823.
Survivors include four daughters, Carol DeMent, Karen Allsup and Ella Kay Boone, all of Vancouver, and Mary Ann Trenda of Spokane; one son, Allen of Battle Ground; two sisters, Lenore Gill of Tioga, N.D., and Beatrice Hanson of Cando, N.D.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be private at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. He was 73.
Mr. Wiggs was died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, in a local care center. He was 88.
Mr. MacLachlan was died Monday, Sept. 19, 2002, in Washougal. He was 77.
Mr. Peterson was death by his wife Lorraine who died in 1999.
Survivors include one daughter, Vikki Haines of Washougal; one son, Richard L. of Camas; two sisters, Irene Ball of Randall-Morton, Wash. and Louella Cassidy of Hemet, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A Cemetery. Brown's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Laurence A. Cahoon

Laurence Alvin "Larry" Cahoon, who had traveled many miles on his motorcycle, died in 1995.
Mr. Cahoon was Cemetery in Amboy. The casket will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Charles A. Fields

Charles A. "Whitey" Fields, who was a machinist for 40 years, died in 1945.
Mr. Fields was Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church.

Wilbur W. Mayhew

Wilbur W. "Wes" Mayhew, who resided the past seven years in Vancouver, married to his wife, Rosa, for 56 years, before she died in 1983.
He was Cemetery in Portland later.

Johnny D. McAdams

A Vancouver resident since 1997, Johnny Darnell McAdams, born March 30, 1955, in Cleveland.
He was a system technician with Siemen's in Portland.
Mr. McAdams, who retired from the Air Force, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at St. Mark Baptist Church in Portland.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Rosemary, at home; his parents, Shirley J. and Johnnie L. McAdams of Cleveland; four sisters, Brenda Savage of Tulsa, Okla., and Celeste Wilson, Theresa Clark and Venita Butler, all of Cleveland; and four brothers, Steve of Anchorage, Alaska, and Ronald, Michael and Clifford, all of Cleveland.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Baptist Church. Caldwell's Colonial Chapel in Portland is in charge of arrangements.
Jean G. Urquhart

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Jean Grange Urquhart, who born April 5, 1921, in Mobridge, S.D., and had lived in Vancouver since 1988.
A daughter, Elizabeth Urquhart, died of cancer at home Friday, Sept. 20, 2002. He was 54.
Mr. Veltum was an operations manager for United Harvest LLC at the Port of Vancouver.
He was born April 24, 1948, in Alton, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy, at home; his mother, Valeria M. Veltum of Leavenworth, Kan.; and two daughters, Kristine Veltum-Dockter and Susan Veltum, both of Minneapolis.
Mr. Veltum loved his work and golfing. He liked to grill outdoors and owned many barbecues.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel.
