A Clark County resident for the past 18 years, T.W. "Tex" Caffey Jr., born Dec. 15, 1934, in Albany, Texas.
He was a drilling superintendent for 40 years and worked for Phillips Petroleum, Western Offshore Drilling and a Norwegian oil company, Dolphin Services. He had worked in Iran, Singapore, Africa and Norway.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Norvella, at home; his mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Jack Crabtree of Vancouver; two daughters, Donna Abell of Vancouver and Terryle St. Jeor of Bend, Ore.; two sons, Charles and Steven, both of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
There will be no service. Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground was in charge of arrangements.
Virginia M. Becker

A memorial service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Virginia M. Becker, who died in 1993, and a son, Kim Turner, born Aug. 19, 1934, in Bismarck, N.D., and lived in Vancouver the past 50 years. Her maiden name was Thomas.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Hazen of Battle Ground, Patsy Cadonau of Warrenton, Ore., and Debe Mitchell of Bellevue, Wash.; two sons, James Turner and Tim Turner, both of Vancouver; one sister, Lois Papageorge of Lewisville, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Frances L. Criswell
Colville, Wash.
Former Clark County resident, Frances L. Criswell, born May 30, 1919, in Walla Walla.
She lived in Vancouver for more than 50 years before moving to Colville two years ago.
She retired from the Nabisco Co. in Portland.
Her husband, Chester, and a son, Harlan, both preceded her in Cemetery in Vancouver. Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville was in charge of arrangements.

Lois B. Cunningham

Lois B. Cunningham, a retired executive secretary, born Nov. 24, 1920, in Oberlin, Kansas, and lived in the Vancouver area the past eight years. Her maiden name was Caster.
Her husband of 59 years, Forrest, Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
James W. Gibson
Vancouver
James William Gibson, who retired as a clerk at the main post office in Vancouver after 32 years, born Aug. 22, 1936, in La Grande, Ore.
He was a past president and shop steward of the American Postal Workers Union. He enjoyed camping and target shooting.
Mr. Gibson served in the Oregon National Guard and the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen E., at home; three daughters, Barbara Rodacker of Portland, and Tammy Dunham and Brenda Roberts, both of Vancouver; two sons, Ron of Vancouver and Kevin of Washougal; two sisters, Mary Paxton and Betty Gibson, both of Portland; one brother, Raymond Gibson of Yuma, Ariz.; and four grandchildren.
There will be no service. Davies Cremation and Burial Services was in charge of arrangements.
Steven T. Hashimoto

Steven Tadashi Hashimoto, who owned an executive placement service, born June 10, 1943, in Tule Lake died Thursday, Jan. 23, 2003, at the Quincy Valley Medical Center in Quincy.
Mr. Kingen was Cemetery. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Skyline Christian Church in Tacoma.
Mr. Kingen, an Eagle Scout, was a member of West Tacoma Optimist Club and served as president twice.
Survivors include his wife, Lucile "Sue, " at home; one daughter, Danna Dal Porto of Quincy; one sister, Ardis Strebe of Yucaipa, CA.; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene in Ridgefield for R. Tom Lenzie, who born July 8, 1936, in Santa Barbara, Calif., and lived in Clark County the past 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Virgie, at home; two daughters, Nancy McStay of Craig, Colo., and Jeanette Wiley of Fort Lupton, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Sara Mathy of Bellevue, Wash., and Kara Pilskalns of Bozeman, Mont.; one stepson, Jason Crisifulli of Ocean Park, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

Lewis A. Patry, who owned Uptown Bookshelf, born Oct. 1, 1929, in Chicago, Ill., and lived in Vancouver since 1967.
He retired as operations supervisor for Convoy/Ryder Trucking in 1992.
Mr. Patry was a flight instructor at Mill Plain Flying Service at Evergreen Field.
Survivors include his wife, Ann, at home; two daughters, Lorraine Coates of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Teresa Dickerson of Vancouver; four sons, Gary Patry of Vancouver, Kirk Sanders of San Jose, Calif., Jay Sanders of Pasadena, Calif., and Michael Sanders of San Diego, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Good Shepherd. Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Viola G. Paulsen

A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home for Viola Gentry Paulsen, who died in 1982, and a daughter, Nancy G. Paulsen, born Nov. 4, 1910, in Cottonwood, Idaho, and lived in Vancouver since 2000.
She graduated from Lewiston State Normal School, now Lewis and Clark College in Lewiston, Idaho.
She taught school until she Cemetery in Richland, Wash.
