Joe Edward Rook, who worked in home furnishings, born June 11, 1930, in Barberton, Ohio, and lived in Clark County the past two years.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Dorothy L., at home; one daughter, Alicia L. Bruner of Sperry, Okla.; one son, Wayne Kurtz of Vancouver; one brother, James F. of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Rook was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
There will be no service. Burial will be in Willamette National died Jan. 14, 2003, in a local care center. She was 91.
Mrs. Smith was died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Brush Prairie. He was 82.
Mr. Thompson, a retired food products salesman, lived in Clark County the past three months.
He was died in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Osk "Billie, " at home; one daughter, Sylvia Wiser of Brush Prairie; three sons, William "Butch" of Smyrna, Ga., Rick of Auburn, Wash., and Mike of Camano Island, Wash.; one sister, Marion Hill of Seattle; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Thompson enjoyed watching television, playing cards and going for rides.
Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground was in charge of arrangements.
Margaret G. Bain

A former Vancouver resident, Margaret Genevive Bain, 87, born July 1, 1915, in Paint Rock, Ala. She lived in Vancouver for several years until moving to Portland 10 years ago. Her maiden name was Sammons.
Her husband, Lucious, Cemetery in Portland. Zeller Chapel of the Roses in Portland is in charge of arrangements.

Karen M. Banfield

Karen Marie Banfield, who lived in Vancouver for the past three months, born Oct. 15, 1961, in Detroit.
Survivors include her mother, Susan Banfield of Vancouver; one son, Paul of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one sister, Wendy Donovan of Vancouver; three brothers, Michael Banfield of Canyon Lake, Calif., Peter Banfield of Lawrenceville, Ga., Timothy Banfield of Cossayuna, N.Y.; her grandmother, Elizabeth Sudnick of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; and her special companion, David Thrall of Redondo Beach.
There will be a private service. Vancouver Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Samuel T. Bauman
Vancouver
Samuel T. Bauman born on May 23, 1919, in Otis, Ore., and lived in Vancouver for the past six months.
He was a truck driver for 30 years before retiring in 1984.
Mr. Bauman was a charter member of the Elks Lodge in Lincoln City, Ore., and a member of the Presbyterian church in North Bend, Ore. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Adeline, at home; two daughters, Sunny Cerveny of Ridgefield and Linda Long of Newberg, Ore.; four sons, Sam Bauman of Woodburn, Ore., Gary Delvin of Las Vegas, Michael Delvin of Bend, Ore., and Jim Delvin of Des Moines, Wash.; two sisters, Norma Pettis of Milwaukie, Ore., and Irene Bancroft of Portland; one brother, Jim of Hillsboro, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bauman's life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at First Congregational Church. Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph A. Billups

Joseph A. Billups born Dec. 11, 1962, in Red Bluff, Calif.
Mr. Billups graduated from Ridgefield High School and was a National Merit Scholarship winner.
He worked as a chef and restaurant assistant manager in California before moving back to Clark County.
Mr. Billups loved to fly and owned a hang glider. He enjoyed music, gardening, traveling, walks on the beach and the TV show "Star Trek."
Survivors include his mother, Lorina "Rose" Haynes of Zillah; one brother, Jon of Evergreen, Colo.; two sisters, Dawn Gillhoover of Vancouver and Julie Billups Gunusen of Golden Valley, Minn.; and grandparents, Lilly Ricard of Zillah and Tom and Icy Billups of Woodland.
There was a private memorial service Jan. 24 at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel.
Richard E. Follansbee

A graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. today at Willamette National died of congestive heart failure Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, at a local care center. He was 84.
Mr. Follansbee, a retired logger, was died Jan. 24, 2003, in Edmond. He was 68.
Mr. Ledbetter was died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at home. She was 40.
Miss Graham was Cemetery in Battle Ground.

R. Tom Lenzie
Ridgefield
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Nazarene, 747 Pioneer in Ridgefield for R. Tom Lenzie, who died of heart problems on Jan. 24, 2003, in Shady Cove, Ore. He was 77.
Mr. Richardson was died in December 2002.
Survivors include seven daughters, Beth Sprau of Black Diamond, Marion McCormick of California, Sheryll Moorehead-Eyre of Vancouver, Debra Weeks of Las Vegas, Tessie Hammer of Shady Cove, Anna Barton of Connecticut and Samantha Adams of Phoenix, Ore.; one son, Fred Jr. of Depoe Bay, Ore.; one sister, Helen Cleveland of Auburn; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A service was held earlier. His ashes will be buried
in Veterans Association National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Ore.
