A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Charles W. Taylor, 92, who born Sept. 2, 1910, in Los Angeles and moved to Clark County in 1947. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 until 1946, and worked for Alcoa for 25 years. He retired in 1978. He enjoyed fishing, photography and telling war stories.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Hazel, at home; two daughters, Kathleen McGuire and Eunice Brown, both of Ridgefield; one son, Roger of Oak Harbor, Wash.; one brother, Howard of Virginia; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity.
Alvin J. Doyle
Vancouver
A died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, in Vancouver.
Mr. Doyle was died in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Debby Johnson of Vancouver and Cathy Shire of Sedro Woolley, Wash.; one son, Dan of Vancouver; two sisters, Dorothy Anderson of Montana and Eilleen Guenther of Murrieta, Calif.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will follow the service in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Portland. He was 79.
His wife of 52 years, Cornelia, preceded him in born July 23, 1923, in Lynch, Neb., and had lived in the Vancouver area since 1991.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary E. Orr of Vancouver; two sons, Christopher J. of Portland and Paul J. of Reno, Nev.; one brother, Lawrence of Tacoma; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Nepper was an Air Force veteran and worked in real estate. He also built and operated the Sunshine Rest Home in Ashland, Ore. He was a master gardener, a past commander of a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Nepper enjoyed fishing and painting.
Burial will be in the Vancouver Barracks Post died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at home in Battle Ground. She was 78.
Mrs. Phillips was died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Vancouver. She was 76.
Mrs. Williams worked in the accounting department at Sears Roebuck and Company for 36 years before retiring in 1982.

A Cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pat Benton
Camas
Pat Benton, a retired log buyer for Crown Zellerbach Corp., born Sept. 11, 1921, in Quitman, Ga., and had lived in Camas since 1964.
Survivors include his wife, Beryl, at home; one daughter, Patricia A. Mausen of Salem, Ore.; two sons, Donald A. of McMinnville, Ore., and Richard A. of Camas; two sisters, Jewell Wimberly of Gainsville, Fla., and Mary Workman of Quitman; one brother, Bill C. of Grear, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Benton enjoyed yardwork and was a member of American Legion Post 14 in Vancouver and St. Thomas Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Camas.
Rosary will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas. A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Willamette National died Aug. 17, 2003, in Vancouver. She was 83.
Her husband, Burl, born Nov. 14, 1919, in Sheridan, Ark., and lived in Clark County for more than 50 years.

She enjoyed her pets, sewing and loved to travel.
