A retired logger who enjoyed panning for gold, fishing, hunting and rockhounding, Kenneth E. Chenette born Aug. 31, 1925, in Woodburn, Ore., had lived in Vancouver for 31 years. He had worked for several Woodland companies, including International Paper, Ben Thomas and Charlie Downing.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Agnes, at home; one daughter, Cynthia Baker of Troy, Mont.; one son, Micheal of Bend, Ore.; two brothers, Phil and Francis, both of Vancouver; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service for family and friends will be at a later date. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Carolyn L. Brodhagen

A memorial service will begin at noon Tuesday at Memorial Lutheran Church for Carolyn Larsen Brodhagen, 70, who born June 12, 1933, in Hazard, Neb. She moved to Washington state with her family in 1944, and earned a bachelor's degree from Central Washington College and a master's degree in library science from the University of Washington. She taught elementary school in Pasco and in Lewiston, Idaho, and served as a school librarian in Castle Rock and Vancouver. She was working as a media specialist at Gaiser Junior High at the time of her retirement in 1987.

Denece M. Dennis

A homemaker and lifelong resident of Vancouver, Denece Maureen Dennis born Dec. 21, 1950, in Vancouver. She graduated from Fort Vancouver High School and worked as the office manager for her husband's business. She enjoyed gardening, birds and going to the beach.
Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Tom, at home; one daughter, Tessa M. Dennis of Vancouver; and one brother, Hammond Thorne of Beaverton.
There will be no service. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Ferne E. Divine
Olympia
Former Vancouver resident Ferne E. Divine born Jan. 16, 1914, in Maxwell, Neb., and moved to Vancouver in 1939. A charter member of the Hazel Dell Assembly of God, she had worked in the shipyards during World War II and played an active role in her husband's construction business. She moved to Olympia in 1971.
She was preceded in died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, at Fort Lewis, Wash. He was 21.
Mr. Elder was Cemetery in Portland.

Donna J. Ira

A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Donna J. Ira, who born July 20, 1930, in Electra, Texas, and had lived in Vancouver for 50 years. She worked for Honeywell Protection Services and was a Honeywell Gold Key member.
She enjoyed singing, entertaining and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in Cemetery in Portland. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon A. Lee
Vancouver
A secretary who worked for the Vancouver School District for 28 years, Sharon Ann Lee born Feb. 19, 1943, in Vancouver and lived here her entire life. She was a member of both the First Baptist Church in Vancouver and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Portland. She taught Sunday School and was on the Christian Education board for many years at First Baptist.
She collected Elvis Presley memorabilia and enjoyed going to the beach.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Richard A. "Dick, " at home; one daughter, Sharice Weimann of Vancouver; one son, William of Vancouver; and one brother, Gary Hutson of Gladstone, Ore.
A private family graveside service will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died of cancer Sept. 4, 2003, at his home in Calhoun, Mo. He was 62.
Mr. Mason was died of a stroke Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, in Vancouver.
Mrs. Scamporrino, whose maiden name was Meranda, was died in 1983.
She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Francis of Vancouver.
A Sunday tea will be served in her honor at 2 p.m. Sept. 21 at Rose Ranch Inn, 8613 N.E. St. Johns Road, Vancouver, WA 98665.
Marie E. Uray
Ridgefield
A member of St. Philip's Catholic Church in Woodland who enjoyed gardening and cooking, Marie Elizabeth Uray, 94, born Jan. 4, 1909, in Hungary. She had worked in accounting and bookkeeping for the Air Force and moved to Clark County in 1985. She was a member of the Southern California American Hungarian Club and also enjoyed crocheting and traveling to Reno.
Her husband, Stephen, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, in Vancouver.
Mr. Stabler was born July 13, 1940, in Yakima, and had lived in Vancouver for 58 years. A member of the American Legion, he enjoyed military history, traveling with his wife, working in his yard, and cats.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, at home; two daughters, Jennifer Eland of Vancouver and Merl Foeller of Milwaukie, Ore.; two sons, Mark Blair of Broomfield, Colo., and Michael Blair of Golden, Colo.; two brothers, Terry and Richard; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cascades Presbyterian Church. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
