A homemaker who was raised and educated in Southern California, Virginia Alice Dierking born Jan. 4, 1924, in Springfield, Ill. She lived in Vancouver since 1966 and enjoyed church life, family, collecting dolls and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Al at home; a daughter, Judy Kaster of Brush Prairie; a son, Jerry Halvorsen of Hawaii; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Oct. 1 at Brush Prairie Baptist Church. Private burial will be at Brush Prairie died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, in Portland.
Mr. Earls, 49, lived in Vancouver for the past two months and is remembered as a hard worker.
He was died in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Evans and Jacqueline Niemi, both of Vancouver; a son, Ronald Niemi of Brentwood, Calif.; a sister, Kathy Power of Salem; a brother, Bob Evans of Milwaukie, Ore.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will start at 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.
Duane L. Gagner

A terminal manager of Auto Warehousing Company's Portland and Vancouver facilities, Duane L. "Mike" Gagner born Jan. 1, 1939, in Crookston, Minn. He lived in Vancouver since 1997 and attended St. James Catholic Church.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing with his friends, his work, his cat, Dum-Dum, playing jokes and family. He is remembered as having a happy life and great sense of humor.
He was preceded in Cemetery in Federal Way, Wash. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Claudine M. Gallegos

A clerk for the U.S. Postal Service who enjoyed family, model planes and friends, Claudine M. Gallegos born July 6, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, Ore. Her maiden name was Braga.
She is survived by a daughter, Vicki Keller of Vancouver; a son, Kent of Encinitas, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service is set for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 220 N.E. Hearthwood Blvd.

Edgar N. Harvey

A U.S. Army veteran who served in the Philippines during World War II, Edgar N. Harvey, 86, born Nov. 5, 1932, in Prineville, Ore. He lived in Vancouver since 1958 and was a carman for Burlington Northern Railroad before retiring in 1992.
He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, bowling and dancing. He was a member of the American Legion in Vancouver.
His wife, Ruzena, Cemetery in Portland. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is handling arrangements.

Laurel E. Marsh-Gerhardt

A funeral will start at 2 p.m. today at New Heights Church for Laurel Edna Marsh-Gerhardt, who born April 16, 1939, in Chehalis, Wash. Her maiden name was Marsh. She graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1957 and lived in Clark County for the past 42 years.
She retired from Farmers Insurance after 36 years. She was a member of the church, Moose Lodge 1774, Luepke Senior Center and was very involved with Bible study group.
She traveled extensively with her sister, Patricia, and enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, cross-stitching, collecting trains, gardening, reading, her cat, Pepper, and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathee Criger of Phoenix, Theresa Randolph of Vancouver and D'Ann Hauzenberger of Issaquah, Wash.; a son, Anthony Ortega of Phoenix; a sister, Patricia Greene of Vancouver; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Private family burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, in Battle Ground. She was 77.
Mrs. Martin was died in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Priscilla Coffield of Woodland and Alice May Krutsinger of Portland; a son, Thomas of Yacolt; a sister, Nettie Donaldson of Gresham, Ore.; two brothers, Ned and Pierce Thompson, both of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The casket will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel. A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at the chapel and burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, in Vancouver.
Mr. Mills was Cemetery for Kathy Jolene Morgan, who born April 9, 1954, in Garden City, Kan. Her maiden name was Morgan and she lived in Clark County for the past 46 years.
She was the owner and operator of Kathy's Upholstery Shop in Battle Ground for the past five years. She also worked for Jantzen Knitting and other sewing companies in the area for many years.
Mrs. Morgan loved going to drag races, old cars, camping, hunting and fishing.
Her husband, Lyle Bangs, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, in Vancouver.
Mr. Stillwell, 61, was born Jan. 13, 1942, in Hanna, Wyo. He moved to Vancouver from Cheyenne 10 years ago.
Mr. Stillwell was a personnel officer with the federal government and a retired major with Wyoming Air National Guard in Cheyenne.
He loved the Lord, studying Bible prophecy and is remembered for his compassion for children and the less fortunate.
Survivors include a daughter, Ranae Lynn Hutchison of Tucson, Ariz; two sons, Roger of Tucson and Ron of Beaverton, Ore.; five sisters, Mary Ann Brown and Joyce Mason, both of Wyoming, Ginger Taylor of South Carolina, Julia McAndrew of Vancouver and his twin sister, Oreen Scott of Arizona; two brothers, Marion Stillwell Jr. of California and Oscar Johnson of Wyoming; and four grandchildren.
Memorial Garden Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
