Patrick E. Howe, who worked for Weyerhaeuser for 15 years, born Jan. 7, 1919, in Dallas, Texas, and had lived in Vancouver since 1985.
He is survived by one daughter, Heidi Talley of Aloha, Ore.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Howe enjoyed fishing and reading and had written his autobiography.
There will be no service. Davies Cremation and Burial Services was in charge of arrangements.
David L. McGraw
Woodland
David Lee McGraw, a painter who lived in Woodland the past 17 years, born Sept. 27, 1951, in Salem, Ill.
He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, H. Diane, at home; his mother, Martha Rhodes of Cottonwood, Idaho; one daughter, Rachel Harkins of Gray's Lake, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Leslie Hamak of Vancouver, Julie Denton of Kalama and Shellie Kemp of Priest River, Idaho; one son, Eli of La Salle, Ill.; three brothers, Stephen and Chuck, both of Woodland, and Mike of Norway; one sister, Cherie LaRoche of St. Paul, Minn.; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Woodland Christian Church. Woodland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Cheryl A. Stone

A graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was 47.
Mrs. Stone liked gardening and enjoyed bingo, camping, sewing and going to Reno, Nev. She liked her dog, Sandy.
She was died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, in a Woodland care center. She was 93.
Mrs. Wiik was a seamstress at Jantzen Knitting Mills.
She was died in 1978, and a daughter, Sonya Wells, Cemetery.

Bertha J. Williams
Battle Ground
Bertha Johanna Williams, who lived in Clark County the past 64 years, born May 14, 1918, in Snow, N.D. Her maiden name was Maul.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Donald, at home; three sons, Larry of Amboy, Ted of Battle Ground and Kenny of Yacolt; two sisters, Frances Skalbeck of Portland and Elizabeth Brooks of Vancouver; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Finnish and Rebekah lodges for many years. She candled eggs for Evans Egg Farm and was a strawberry field boss for Birds Eye Foods.
Mrs. Williams enjoyed traveling, clam digging, cross stitching and sewing.
A funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground, followed by burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in Vancouver. He was 85.
Mr. Winters was died in 1971, and a son, Gary, Cemetery.

Sandra G. Beckham

Sandra "Sandi" Gaye Beckham born April 6, 1943, in Longview.
She attended Battle Ground High School and earned a nursing degree from Clark College.
Mrs. Beckham worked more than 20 years for Kaiser Permanente in Oregon and Hawaii. After she retired, she did extensive volunteering and missionary work in medical camps in Burma during the 1990s.
She loved horseback riding, hiking, diving in the Great Barrier Reef and white-water rafting.
Survivors include four sons, Daniel of Camas, Andrew of Washougal, David of Everett and Dennis of Vancouver; one sister, Linda Amack of New Mexico; two brothers, Rob Beckham of New Mexico and Tom Beckham of Spokane; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church.
Clarence C. Frankle

Clarence C. Frankle, a retired U.S. Postal Service mail handler in Portland, born April 23, 1923, in St. Paul, Minn., and lived 31 years in Vancouver.
Mr. Frankle, a U.S. Coast Guard and Air Force veteran, was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Connie G., at home; two sons, Brandan S. of Vancouver and Bruce B. of Bangor, Maine; two sisters, Clara Gilman of Minneapolis and Mary Tiller of St. Paul; one brother, James of St. Paul; and one grandchild.
A service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, with burial in Willamette National Cemetery in Woodland for former La Center resident Frank A. Highfill, 58.
He born Feb. 14, 1945, in Henderson, Nev. He lived in La Center for many years before moving to Dallesport in 1985.
He was a mechanic for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.
Mr. Highfill enjoyed playing guitar and was interested in astronomy.
Survivors include his wife, Janet, at home; one daughter, Holly Highfill of Vancouver; one son, Andy of Vancouver; one sister, Janet Gates of Medford, Ore.; and one brother, Gene, of Arizona.
The casket will be open from 11 a.m. to noon today at the funeral home.
Dorothy A. Martin
Vancouver
A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for Dorothy A. Martin, who born March 21, 1910, in Minneapolis, and had lived in Clark County since 1923. Her maiden name was Lynch.
She taught school at Providence Academy, Rock Creek and Battle Ground schools.
Her husband, Walter L., died in 1991.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Sutter of Vancouver; seven sons, James L., William J., Thomas E. and Joseph R., all of Vancouver, Michael T. of Portland, John A. of Minneapolis and Walter J. of San Francisco; one brother, Eugene "Gene" Lynch of Vancouver; 22 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in St. James Acres. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
