Former Vancouver resident Peggy C. Russell born June 6, 1941, in Portland and lived in Vancouver until 1999, when she moved to Yakima.
A homemaker, she enjoyed embroidering lap quilts, gambling, metal detecting and her dogs, Sassy and Taz.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Kent Russell Sr., at home; two sons, Kent Jr. and Troy, both of Vancouver; two daughters, Ruth Hill of Kelso and Sabrina Gammelgard of Vancouver; her father, Chester Ostrom of Vancouver; four sisters, Nancy Cruz, Sandra Schimelpfnig and Donna Huebner, all of Vancouver, and Lisa Gwattney of La Center; two brothers, Michael and Scott Ostrom both of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
The body was cremated. There will be no service.

Eleanor M. Buckner
Olympia
A former Vancouver resident and past president of Green Meadows Women's Golf, Eleanor May Buckner, 89, born April 3, 1914, in Snohomish, Wash. and had worked as a medical secretary at Emanuel Hospital in Portland for 35 years.
A member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lacey, she enjoyed family, friends, travel, golf, reading and preparing banquets.
Her husband, Donald, Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn J. Stewart
Vancouver
A seamstress who worked for Jantzen Linen Mills for 30 years, Carolyn Jean Stewart, 58, born Dec. 16, 1944, in Knoxville, Iowa, and had lived in Vancouver for 30 years. She enjoyed camping, sewing, reading, crafts, computing, her grandkids, and her dog, "Tiny."
Survivors include her husband, Robert, at home; one son, Robert A., of Vancouver; two daughters, Shelly Merlino of Vancouver and Darlene K. Stewart of Portland; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel.

Devon M. Brannam
Yacolt
Devon Michael Brannam, a first-grader at Yacolt Primary, born July 1, 1997, in Portland. He lived in Camas before moving to Yacolt four months ago.
Survivors include his mother, Heidi L. Youngren of Camas; his father, Michael R. Brannam of Yacolt; one brother, Jacob Navolynski of Camas; grandparents, Diana "Nana" Cantwell of Vancouver, Dennis Youngren of Cooks, Wash., and June and Carl Brannam of Camas; and great-grandparents, Grace and Gilbert Youngren and Peggy Reynolds, all of Washougal, and Muriel Brannam of Vancouver.
Devon liked to draw, play baseball and collect Hot Wheels and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, followed by burial in Fern Prairie died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Southwest Washington Medical Center.
Mrs. Carlson was died in 1987.
Survivors include one daughter, Jan Strahan of Hockinson; one son, David J. of Leonardtown, Md.; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Carlson enjoyed reading, crafts and painting.

Elijah Foster

Former Vancouver resident Elijah Foster, 7 months, son of Jessica A. and Dan Foster, born April 17, 2003, in Vancouver and moved to Idaho when he was 11/2 months old.
Other survivors include one sister, Olivia Parks of Pocatello, Idaho; grandparents, Carol and Jim Allison and Sue and Brian Foster, all of Chubbuck, and Carol and Steve Ore of Vancouver; and great-grandparents, Rena and Carl Croft of Pocatello.
There was a funeral Saturday at Colonial Funeral Chapel in Pocatello. Burial was in Mountainview died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, in Vancouver. He was 68.
Mr. Hibbard was Cemetery in Ridgefield. Davies Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.
Ted Huston
Vancouver
Ted Huston, who worked for Crown Zellerbach paper mill for 37 years before he retired, born June 11, 1913, in Wisconsin. He moved to Clark County in 1938.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing and traveling.
His wife, Myrtle, Cemetery. The casket will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.

Genevieve Lane

There will be no service for Genevieve "Genny" Lane, who born Dec. 18, 1931, in Parker, Wash.
She had been a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance for 32 years.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Alvin "Al, " at home; two sisters, Agnes Guinotte of Newport, Ore., and Grace Curry of Chehalis; and two brothers, Jim Ryckman of Sun City, Ariz., and John Ryckman of Bellevue.
Her body was cremated.

Heather M. O'Malley
Vancouver
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home for Heather M. O'Malley, who born July 30, 1966, in Spokane and lived in Vancouver since 1984.
Miss O'Malley worked at a local nursing home.
Survivors include her parents, Karen and Michael O'Malley of Vancouver; two sons, Sean of Pullman and Aaron of Vancouver; and grandmothers, Evelyn Kirking of Spokane and Lee O'Malley of Hillsboro, Ore.
Miss O'Malley, who had been active in Special Olympics, graduated from Hudson's Bay High School. She enjoyed music and dancing and loved her cat Jane.

Edla J. Palmer

Edla Jean Palmer born April 5, 1931, in Multnomah County, Ore. She lived in Portland all her life until moving to Vancouver three months ago. Her maiden name was Anderson.
Survivors include one daughter, Glenda Little of Gladstone, Ore.; two sons, Ray of Portland and David of Vancouver; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven-step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Palmer enjoyed gardening, puzzles and garage sales.
A service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2223 N.W. 99th St. Layne's Funeral Home in Battle Ground is in charge of arrangements.
