Kenneth "Skip" T. Spurling III, a machinist who had worked in the aircraft industry, born June 8, 1949, in Fort Eustis, Va., and lived in Clark County the past four months.
Survivors include his father, Kenneth T. Spurling Jr. of La Center; one son, Kenneth "Tad" IV of Tacoma; one sister, Bonni M. Spurling of La Center; and one brother, Brian W. of Marion, Texas.
A graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Willamette National died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Vancouver. He was 82.
His wife, Delores, born Aug. 7, 1921, in Bradley, S.D.
He was sheetmetal worker for the Garon Co.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Cotton of Battle Ground; two sons, Mark and David, both of Vancouver; one brother, Carl of Brush Prairie; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
An Army World War II veteran, Mr. Taylor enjoyed fishing, boating, camping. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and American Legion Smith-Reynolds Post No. 14.
A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel. The casket will be open before the service, noon to 12:45 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Northwood Park died Friday, May 14, 2004, at her daughter's home in Battle Ground.
Mrs. Wright was died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in a local care center. She was 90.
Mrs. Richardson was married her husband, Reginald, in 1934, and they lived on a farm in the Woodburn Hill area for many years.

Marvin R. A. Miller, a retired restaurant owner, born Aug. 15, 1937, in Hazelton, N.D., and lived in Vancouver for 60 years.
He graduated from Hudson's Bay High School in 1956. He owned and operated The Battle Ground Inn Restaurant, The Igloo Drive Inn, The Reunion Restaurant, and Minit Man Lube Center.
He enjoyed watching sports and bingo.
Survivors include three daughters, Sherry McDaniels of Yacolt, Kelly Fletcher of Battle Ground, and Robyn Miller of Vancouver; one brother, Erwin of Vancouver; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Vancouver Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow at Park Hill died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in Vancouver. He was 89.

A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Battle Ground for Jennie J. Pelly, who born June 6, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo.
Before moving to Ridgefield 26 years ago, she lived in California, where she owned and operated a health food store.
She loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and working at Sacred Heart church.
Her husband, John, Cemetery. A prayer vigil will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

Robert H. Theis

Robert Herman Theis, a former Vancouver resident, born June 16, 1918, in Chicago, and lived in Vancouver from 1964 to 1976.
He served in the Army during World War II and was a volunteer with the Salvation Army for many years. He enjoyed rock hunting, making jewelry, fishing and woodcrafting.

William F. G. Wilken

William F. G. Wilken, 80, born March 16, 1924, in Kulm, N.D., and moved to the Northwest in 1934. He worked as a deck officer in the Merchant Marine for more than 40 years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, A. Helen, at home; one son, William Neal of Nebraska; one daughter, Janice R. Hussein of Vancouver; one step-daughter, Judith Lee Kirkpatrick of Portland; one sister, Rosemary Davis of Dallas, Ore.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Mill Plain United Methodist Church. Burial will be private.

Margaret A. Greene, who was a volunteer grandmother in the Vancouver School District, born Nov. 19, 1932, in London, England, and lived in Clark County the past eight years.
Survivors include two daughters, Anna K. Thurston of Vancouver and Lorna J. DuDash of Portland; one son, Edward G. DuDash Jr. of Vancouver; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Greene enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and crossword puzzles.
There will be a private service. Davies Cremation and Burial Services.

Genevieve Gyes

Genevieve Gyes, 76, born Aug. 22, 1927, in Vancouver.
She graduated from Walla Walla College in 1949. Mrs. Gyes worked as an executive assistant in several cities and retired from Portland Adventist Hospital. After retirement, she went to Guam and worked for the Guam Micronesian Mission.
Mrs. Gyes was a life member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Margaret Gyes of Vancouver; two nieces, Becky Gyes-Chaney and Nancy Gyes-Basic, both of Vancouver; and one nephew, Randy Gyes of Vancouver.
There will be a private service. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
