Robert D. "Bob" ALLESON (Asleson) 73. Born July 7, 1927 Lengby, MN.
Died October 29, 2000 Des Moines, WA.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Alleson and their two children Lisa and Rob Alleson.
Bob was a furniture manufacturer's sales representative for 40 years and retired December 1995 after a paralyzing stroke.
He is remembered with great love and affection by his family, the staff of Wesley Medical Center, those in the furniture industry, and his many friends.
Memorial Services to be conducted at Wesley Medical Center, Evergreen Room, November 2, 2000 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to: Wesley Medical Center, 1122 S. 216th St., Des Moines, WA. 98198. (Obit is from 10/31/2000 to 11/05/2000.)

Born July 16, 1913 at Hartford, WA.
Died Sept. 21, 2000 at Edmonds.
Predeceased by husband, Ruben; sons, John Bardley and Renold; brother, Wesley Freed.
Survived by cousin Dorothy Gowdey of Seattle and stepdaughter Marilyn Langner and family of Oakland, CA.
Pauline worked with her husband in the food concessions for the Kitsap Ferries and later for the Black Ball Ferry Line as well as other businesses.
Memorials suggested to Providence Hospice, 2731 Wetmore Ave., Suite 520, Everett, 98201-3581 or to charity of choice. (Obit dated 11/05/2000.)

Pamela C. ADAMS
A Memorial Service and Celebration of the Life of Pamela C. Adams, who resided in the Seattle/Redmond/Kirkland/Everett area, will be held Saturday, November 11, 2000 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11920 NE 80th St., Kirkland, WA 98033.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers for the memorial, donations may be made to the Totem Lake Kidney Center or the Evergreen Cancer Center. (Obit dated 11/05/2000.)

Harold Alfred ANDERSON
Age 90, died November 2, 2000, at Franciscan Health Care Center at Bothell.
Born in Seattle April 22, 1910, to immigrants from Aland, Finland.
Harold was an ambitious youth, hawking newspapers to morning commuters at trolley stops along 8th Ave. N.W., caddying at Seattle Golf Club, and later managing the first caddy shack at Broadmoor Golf Club.
He left Garfield High School to seek his fortune as a commercial fisherman, eventually becoming captain and co-owner of two vessels, the Marine View and Memento.
His entrepreneurial life yielded much success and a few failures: He was a partner in the development of Wayne Golf Course, only to lose it during the Great Depression; the sardine cannery he bought in Astoria, Ore., in the late 1940's went under when the sardines inexplicably stopped running one year following the purchase.
Harold entered sales in the 1950's, retiring from Philips Petroleum in 1967.
During this time, he also built the Downriver Marina at his home along the Sammamish River in Bothell.
After Harold and his wife Florence moved to Edmonds in 1974, he enjoyed sport salmon fishing and warm afternoons on his patio. Florence died in 1984 after 45 years of marriage.
His second marriage, to Virginia Paredes of Santiago, Chile, renewed his life and provided happiness for another 16 years.
Harold had a unique personality and was very funny and tenderhearted.
He will be missed by his loving wife, Virginia; his children, David (Karen) of Whidbey Island, Allan (Lynn) of Bothell, Janine (Terry LeLievre) of Seattle; his grandchildren Daren, Zachary, Stephen, and Jaimie; his great-grandchildren Sydney and Spencer Anderson and Alden Johnsen; and his mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edilia Olivos-Paredes and Bertha Eriksson.
A Memorial Gathering is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2000, at the Bothell Landing, 9919 N.E. 180th St., Bothell.
Remembrances may be made to the Franciscan Foundation in Bothell.

Ellen G. BAILY
Ellen G. BAILY 88, born November 25, 1911 on Vashon Island, died Sunday, November 5.
Ellen is survived by her sister Dee Jones of Eugene, OR., children Ruth Adamson of Perth, Australia, Esther West of Camano Island, Mary Baily/Richards of Tacoma, Margie Watson of Ferndale, and Bill Baily of Auburn, "Grandma" to 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Her Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 9 at Valley Baptist Temple.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Franciscan Foundation.

Elaine M. BALZER
Age 84, died November 6, 2000 in Seattle, WA.
Beloved wife of Russell; grandmother of 5, great-grandmother of 7 and great-great grandmother of 3.

Mary Angeline BANKS
Mary Angeline BANKS 76, passed away in Seattle, Wa. on 11-6-2000.
Visitation will be Thursday 11-9-2000 from 2 to 8 p.m.
Services Friday 11-10-2000 at 1 p.m.
Both will take place at Southwest Mortuary, Rev. Alonzo S. Wagner III will officiate. (Obit dated 11/08/2000.)

Hans G. BJORNESTAD
Age 68, died peacefully at home with family on October 30, 2000.
Born on August 15, 1932 in Stavanger, Norway.
Hans immigrated to the United States with his wife, Bette, in 1956, on a student Visa to attend the University of Colorado, where he received his Bachelor of Science and Masters degree in Engineering.
They settled in Seattle in the spring of 1962 where Hans began a long, distinguished career with Boeing.
He re tired after 34 years while holding the position of Program Director.
Hans and Bette moved to Mercer Island to raise their family in 1965.
Hans was an avid outdoors and sportsman.
He could always be found enjoying his time with his family skiing, playing tennis and golf, sailing and windsurfing, fishing and hunting, or taking long walks in the local parks.
There was never a day he didn't enjoy.
He traveled throughout the U. S., Canada and Europe in search of powder skiing.
His love for boating brought him to the San Juan Islands and Hood Canal.
Later, Hans enjoyed spending time at one of their two family retreats at Alpental and Hood Canal.
Hans was a man that always placed the importance of his family first.
And while he had an outstanding career, it was his experience with his family and friends that he held most dear.
His life was cut short, however the richness by which he spent his years serve as an inspiration for all that knew him.
His wife of 47 years, Bette; his daughters, Anne and Lisa; and sons, Hans and John, survive him.
Six grandchildren, Jamie, Samantha, Christopher, Payden, Ellie and Kire, all of Mercer Island, also survive him.
Private services have been held. Hoffner Fisher & Harvey At the request of the family, remembrances may be sent to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Re search Center, LY-120, P. O. Box 19024, Seattle, WA 98109. (Obit dated 11/09/2000.)

Margaret Fae BLAIR
Margaret Fae BLAIR 83 years old.
Born 3-13-1917. Died 11-7-2000.
Beloved mother of Martha Evans. Grandmother of Thomas Allen Sumter, Michael Patrick Sumter; great grandmother of Duncan and Brandon.
preceded in death by her husband, Allen Clay Blair.
She was a longtime resident of King County, and an avid golfer and boater.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 10th at 1 p.m. at Bleitz Funeral Home, 316 Florentia St., Seattle. (Obit dated 11/09/2000.)

Ann BOGARDUS
Ann BOGARDUS 84, of Bellevue Washington passed away quietly at home on Saturday November 4, 2000.
She was born August 4, 1916 in White Sulphur Springs, Tennessee.
Her early years included being a graduate of the University of Tennessee and a nurse.
In her later years she was a devoted lov ing grandmother and very active in various bridge groups and Meydenbauer Yacht Club.
She was the widow of Dr. George M. Bogardus.
Ann is survived locally by her children Fred and Bill and her very special grandchildren Tanner and Danielle whom she adored, and their moth er Mollie.
Those who knew Ann will always remember her unselfish caring attitude and her smile.
She was an inspiration to us and will al ways be remembered in our hearts.
At Ann's request no funeral or memorial service was held. (Obit dated 11/08/2000.)

Mildred BULLOCK
Born in Rachelle, Illinois on 2/26/1906, died 11/7/2000 at Swedish Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lee Bullock in 1972.
Her life evolved around her family.
She was a loving mother to her three children, Kenneth and his wife Helen, Richard and his wife Maggie, and Geraldine Bullock; six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service Saturday, November 11th, 1 p.m. at the New Hope Presbyterian Church, 833 S. Thistle St.
