Born July 14, 1905, Bronx, New York. Died October 14, 2000, Seattle.
Worked as a sales representative for over 50 years.
Was involved with the Boy Scouts, both as a scout and a leader.
After retirement, volunteered working with handicapped children.

Mardelle Edith MAXIE
Born December 22, 1910 in West Grove, Iowa. Died November 4, 2000 in Gilbert, Arizona.
Mardelle attended Pharmacy College in Iowa and moved to the Washington area in the 1930s following her marriage to Army Captain Melvin Bradley.
Following his death in 1947, Mardelle began her career as a window clerk with the Seattle Post Office.
In 1954 she married
Everett D. Maxie, who died in 1979.
After her retirement, Mardelle enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and garden.
Four years ago, she moved to Port Angeles, Washington to be near her son's family.
This year she moved to Arizona to be with her daughter and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Eoline Cary of Gilbert, Arizona; son Richard Bradley of Port Ludlow, Washington; brother Bobby Lowery of Pioneer, LA.; sister Ruth Pence of Pioneer, LA.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors.
Burial to be held at Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Friday, November 10, 2000 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to her memory may be made to the Vista Care (Hospice) Cottage, 6991 East Camelback Road, Scottsdale, AZ. 95251.
Genevieve McDERMAND
Born June 7, 1906 in Duluth, MN; died November 3, 2000 in Tacoma WA at the age of 94 years.
Genevieve worked for Mighty Fine Bakery in Hillman City for 17 years.
She was an active member and musician in the Royal Neighbors and Neighbors of Woodcraft.
She is survived by her daughter, Grace Thomas and husband Roy of Puyallup, son, Bill McDermand and wife Mary Ann of Black Diamond, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, two nieces, a nephew and their families. Born November 5, 1925, passed away November 1st, 2000 in Reno, Nevada.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna; daughter Bonnie Sue of Snohomish; son Charles Jr. of Woodinville; sisters Katherine Sarvise of San Diego and Bonnie Rose of Fairfax, Virginia; brothers Art of Edmonds and Bill of Tacoma; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter.
Service to be held November 10, 10:30 a.m. at St. Barbara's Parish, 6th North & Baker, Black Diamond, WA 98010.

Ruth Madeline McLEAN
Born March 10, 1912 in Vancouver, B.C., passed away October 29, 2000 in Edmonds, Washington.
She is survived by her children: Pat White, Joe Pelkey, Trudy Boeitker, Mark McLean, and Isabel Ruppert, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her sister Dorothy P. Grant.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.

Francis Jerome McMAHON and Geraldine Mary (Mulkey) McMAHON
Jerry was born March 9, 1922 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota; died November 8, 2000 in Seattle and Gerry was born May 14, 1925 in Vale, Oregon; died November 3, 2000, in Seattle.
Jerry and Gerry McMahon passed away as they had lived: together.
They are survived by four grateful daughters, Marilyn of Seattle, Karen Mack, and her husband, Darrell, of Kirkland, Janice of Seattle, and Shelley, and her partner, Mark Fishbein, of Pullman; grandchildren, Stephannie Spurr, and her husband, John, Jason Mack, and Karen Michelle Hooper; great-grandsons, Kyle, Alex and Rory Jerome Spurr; and many nieces and nephews.
Also, Gerry Lee is survived by her beloved stepmother, Marjorie Mulkey of Boise Idaho, and siblings, Don, Bruce and Susan.
Married in 1944, Jerry and Gerry Lee saw the end of World War II, and the second half of the twentieth century together.
Members of St. John the Evangelist Parish since 1954, they were involved in a multitude of parish activities through the decades, including Scouting, Mother's Club, and Drill Team.
Jerry served as an usher for many years.
They were members of the Jubilee Club for over 40 years, and enjoyed innumerable picnics, camping trips, potluck dinners, dances, card parties, and unlimited love and support.
Jerry, called "Red" by his co-workers, was employed by Transit for over 30 years, retiring in 1984 from the 4th and King Street "Shack".
His career spanned driving, teaching, dispatching, and supervision.
After retirement, Jerry and Gerry Lee enjoyed travel including an around-the-nation trip with their camping trailer.
They supported the activities of the Georgetown Service Center where Jerry volunteered two days a week at the food bank.
Their illnesses were long and interrupted many of their activities, and they are now at peace.
Recitation of the Rosary will be Friday, November 10th, at 7 p.m., and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 11th, at 10:30 a. m., BOTH at St. John's Church, 1st N.W. and N. W. 80th Street.

Wilda A. MESSNER 88, passed away Friday, November 3, 2000.
She was born August 27, 1912 in Tacoma, WA., the daughter of Steve and Lillian (Abrams) Nelson.
Wilda is survived by her sister Geraldine Burwell and niece Arlene Strong, as well as many friends.
Graveside funeral services will be Thursday, November 9, 2000 at 1 p.m., and will be conducted at Acacia cemetery.
Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery.

Helen Mercedes MINSHULL
Helen Mercedes Minshull, age 84, died peacefully at her home in Carnation on Sunday, November 5, 2000.
She was born in Seattle, Washington on February 5, 1916 to William and Martha Jane Weber.
Helen lived most of her life in the Snoqualmie Valley being one of the last to graduate from Cherry Valley High School.
She attended the University of Washington for two years before marrying Lee in 1936.
Throughout her life Helen enjoyed handcrafts of many kinds and used her expertise to create a loving home and special gifts for her family and friends.
For many years she was involved in the Sunday School program of her church and she was a life-long member of the Dr. Joseph W. Yowell Auxiliary, a member of Children's Hospital Guild Association.
In retirement Helen and Lee traveled extensively visiting family and friends and seeing the United States.
Helen is survived by her dear husband Lee Boyd Minshull of Carnation; son and daughters-in-law Gary and Lorraine Minshull of Bothell; daughter Arlene Davidson of Carnation; and daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Robert Rogland of Tacoma; 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, at 1 p.m. at the Duvall Church, Maine & Stella, Duvall, Washington.
Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital, Seattle, Washington.

Thomas Kornelius (Rognebakk) MOE
Thomas K. Moe, age 97, went home to be with the Lord November 8, 2000.
He was a resident of Warm Beach Senior Community, Stanwood, WA.
His wife, Lillian (Nygard), preceded him in death in 1988.
They had no children. Tom was born in Naustdal, Sunnfjord, Norway, June 1, 1903, had two brothers and three sisters who have all passed away.
He is survived by a nephew, John E. Moe of Snohomish, two nieces, Margaret Tornfelt of Redmond and Eldbjorg (Toots) Ekholm of Waitsburg.
He came to the USA in 1925 and became a proud American citizen April 10, 1944.
He enjoyed his work as a carpenter and craftsman for many years in the Seattle and Everett area and also in Ketchikan.
Tom (together with his wife Lillian) had been a member of Calvary Temple in Seattle for many years and had a heart for missions.
They were active in all of the church services until failing health necessitated their move to assisted living.
Funeral Services will be held November 13 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4505 Broadway, Everett, at 1 p.m. with Interment
to follow.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foreign Missions at Calvary Temple, Seattle.
Friends are invited to meet with the family following the services in the Hospitality Room.
