Ida Rita GARLINGHOUSE
Ida was born October 28, 1916 in Victoria B.C., and passed away peacefully on November 22, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Garlinghouse. She lived and worked in Victoria until 1951 when she met and married
Bruce. They settled in Aberdeen, WA. After Bruce died in 1962, she moved to Seattle and worked for Commercial Collectors and later the City of Seattle until her retirement in 1986. She is survived by her sisters Clotilda DiLoreto of Tacoma, WA, and Annetta Grubisich (Walter) of Seattle, her brother Hiram (Eileen) Casilio of Victoria, B.C.; and many nieces and nephews. Many thanks go to Amor Youngs and her staff at Magnolia Home Care for their kind and loving care the past five years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 28th at 12:10 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church Redemptorist, 205 2nd Ave. N., Seattle. Gerie (Garlock) BROWN
Age 90, passed away on November 14th at Wes ley Homes, Des Moines, WA. She was born in Montesano, grew up in Centralia, and lived most of her life in the Seattle-Tacoma area. She graduated from Roosevelt H.S. During the depression years she attended the U.W. and married
George Brown. After divorcing she continued raising their two children while she worked at Mason United Methodist Church, Tacoma, as their Christian Education Director. She also served on the staff of the United Meth. PNW Annual Conference and a number of other Methodist churches. She administered day care centers in Seattle, Puyallup and Olympia. In later years Gerie traveled world-wide including bicycling across Liberia at age 73. She enjoyed nature, hiking, and biking. She was active in many social concerns such as farm workers housing, land mines, poverty, Christian unity, world peace, politics, voter information, and concerns of her local church, Des Moines UMC. Gerie had a great love of God and people! She is survived by a son, Arthur W. Brown of Auburn, a daughter, Alva Kiesbuy of Spokane, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a sister Muriel Mendenhall of Redmond. A Memorial Service will be held at Des Moines United Methodist Church, 22225 So 9th, Des Moines, on Nov. 30th at 1:30 p.m. with a gathering at Wesley Gardens at 3 p.m. Family suggests memorials to Wesley Homes Circle of Concern or United Methodist Commission on Relief, c/o Des Moines UMC.

Florence Marie GERVAIS
Florence Marie GERVAIS, 84, of San Marcos, CA. for 3 years, from Beacon Hill, Seattle, WA. where she lived for 81 years. Died Nov. 16, 2001 at her home. Born Aug. 10, 1917, Seattle. She had been a Tool Clerk for Boeing Aircraft for 26 years, and retired in 1984. She had been a member of Jefferson Community Center Seniors Group and the International Association of Machinists. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law Barbara Fischer and her husband Mike of San Marcos; Janice Wright and her husband Bud of Lakeview, OR.; sisters, Rose Gilleland, Yakima, WA. and Sally Rogers, Bonney Lake, WA.; grandchildren, Camille Mara, Joseph Fischer, Michael Gervais, Toni Ritchey, Delilah Gervais and Katie Wright; great grandchildren, Sean, Patrick, Haley & Matlynn Mara, and Nathan, Aaron and Danielle Ritchey. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Born March 17, 1926, passed over November 18, 2001.

Port Angeles, Washington resident Kenneth Allie Gonyea died November 21, 2001 in Sequim, Washington. Kenneth was born in Anoka, Minnesota on October 15, 1922 to Allie Gonyea and Marguerite Dobbins. He is survived by his daughter; Roberta L. Freitas, brother; James E. Gonyea, sister; Mary L. Ebel, four grandchildren and his nieces and nephews. There will be no services held. Aurelius Augustinus, "A.A." Gronberg, 91, a long time resident of Seattle, died October 30, 2001 at Providence Mount St. Vincent in Seattle. He was born April 24, 1910 in Sandstone, Minnesota to Carl & Anna (Moberg) Gronberg, whose families were of Swedish heritage. He married
Esther Peterson on September 28, 1934 in Minneapolis. She preceded him in death in 1974, as did his daughter, Anna Marie Drackert in 1981. He was a former Pastor of Elim Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, Washington; Director of the Seattle Millionaire Club & Lutheran Compass Center. He was a member of both Kiwanis & Lions Clubs in Seattle and Port Orchard. Survivors include son, Karl and wife, Sharon of Austin, Texas; son-in-law, Albert Drackert of Seattle; sister, Aurora Vassberg of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada; and seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The Memorial Liturgy was held at Mount St. Vincent Chapel on November 3, 2001 followed by Visitation at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard, and committal at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard. June GRZECH
June GRZECH, 62, of Lynnwood, Washington, died November 18, 2001 in an Edmonds hospital after a brief illness. She was born June 14, 1939 in Canon City, Colorado. She had been a bookkeeper for many years, most recently for Pitcher Brothers Carpet in Seattle. She was an avid collector and truly loved dogs, including her Beagles C.J. and Chester. June can be most remembered for her loving and loyal devotion to the Seattle Mariners. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She leaves her loving husband of 25 years, Martin, daughters Theresa Daniels and Debbie (Dustin) Polly, grandchildren Rochell, David, Matthew and Andrew, sisters JoAnn Weiding and Beverly Reynolds, brother John Renforth and five nephews. Age 79 of Seattle died November 16, 2001. Floyd served in the U.S. Army. 34th Division, 109th Combat Engineers during World War II. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Maxine 'Queenie' Guse; son Craig and his wife Jenny Guse; grandchildren Alexandra 'Rosie', Katherine, Craig, Tyler and Sean; brothers Gordon, Stanley, Robert and Jim; sisters Alice and Audrey.
