Theodore Nicholas "Ted" NIEHL
passed away on 6 November 2000 at age 78.
He will be remembered lovingly by his wife of 56 years, Jeanne.
Beloved father to Pam Niehl, Des Moines, Sandy & John Moore, Federal Way, Becky & Ed Briggs, Milton, WA., devoted grandfather to Shauna Briggs, David & Lacey Moore.
Ted was preceded in death by his be loved grandson Nicholas Briggs.
He was broth er to Ed Niehl, Spanaway, June Brady, Des Moines and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family suggests remembrances be made to ALS Foundation.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 10, 2000 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Charlotte MORTENSEN
Born 1912. For 50 years, the cherished wife of the late Henry, an engineer at Boeing and long time Boy Scout volunteer leader.
Beloved mother of Marjorie, Robert, and Daniel.
Longtime resident of Seattle and Mercer Island.
Active volunteer with the Cub Scouts, Providence Hospital, Catholic Seaman's Club, St. Monica's, St. Benedict's, and many other groups.
Died peacefully on August 8.
A Memorial Mass and reception will be held 11 a.m. Wed., November 8, at St. Monica's Catholic Church on Mercer Island. (Obit dated 11/07/2000.)
Douglas W. MOSHER, SR.
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, died in Seattle November 2, 2000.
Douglas was born November 19, 1918 in Motley, Minnesota.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific from 1938 until the end of WWII and was assigned to the USS Shaw.
Douglas married
Marian Kuntz of Seattle in 1945, and they lived in Helena, Montana until moving to Seattle in 1949.
He retired from employment with Gerrish Bearing Company of Tacoma, WA in December 1996.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Marian, daughter, Jean Crocker of Seattle, WA, daughter Janet Bunch (Robert) of Roslyn, WA, son, Douglas W. Mosher, Jr. (Diane) of Olympia, WA and grandchildren, Allen (Russ) M. Crocker, Jr., Tacy Crocker and Katie Travis, all of Seattle.

Florence Margaret MOUREY
Florence Margaret MOUREY 90, of Maple Valley, died Sunday in Issaqaah.
She was born January 11, 1910, in Spokane.
She moved to Western Washington in 1941.
During that time she lived in Boulevard Park and in 1959, moved to Maple Valley.
She is survived by her son, William L. Mourey of Maple Valley.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Lloyd Mourey in 1986 and by her daughter, Roberta Ann Mourey in 1981.

Ruby V. MULLER
Born October 23, 1919 in Wilcox, Arizona, passed away November 3, 2000 in Bothell.
Survived by her son Fredrick and wife Mary K., three grand children; Jennifer, Morgan, and Mitchell, sisters, Virginia, Alberta, Donna and Darlene; brothers, Stanley and Gene; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth H. MUNN
Born August 7, 1927 in Seattle. Died November 3, 2000 in Shoreline, WA. into the presence of our Lord.
Ken lived in the Greenwood area of Seattle until his family moved to Cottage Lake in the 1940s.
Served in the Navy during World War II.
Ken graduated from Whitworth College, Spokane, WA. in 1953.
He married
his wife Donna that same year, on November 25th.
He was a Seattle Firefighter for 12 years, retiring with the rank of Captain.
Later employment was in risk control for Transamerica Insurance.
Ken enjoyed reading, gardening, woodworking and travel.
He had some success in recent years writing Christian children's stories.
He came to his Christian faith late in life but it was very strong.
He loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna, son Donald and wife Sharon, daughter, Wendy and husband Robert DeBoard and five grandchildren, Kristi, Keith, and Kelly Munn and Steven and Allison DeBoard.
Predeceased by parents, Howard and Hope Munn, infant brother Gordon and sister, Josie Largent.
Memorial Service Saturday, November 11, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1315 N. 160th, Shoreline, WA. (2 blocks east of Aurora Avenue North.)

Dean MURPHY
Dean MURPHY born on October 29, 1936, died of a heart attack on November 5, 2000.
Dean leaves his loving wife, Darla, of 43 years.
He is also survived by his son Steve Murphy (Tara), grandson Steve, granddaughters, Madison and Shelby; daughter LeAnn Ellett (Fritz), granddaughters Makenzie and Haley: daughter Lori de Leuw (Andy), granddaughter Adriene, grandsons Derek and Shane; daughter Sandy Barnes (Kevin), grandson Collin, granddaughters Megan and Heather. Also survived by brothers Eugene (Betty Lou), Lowell (Deanna), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dean served in the US Navy from January 1955-December 1958.
He became a Seattle Police Officer on July 25, 1960 and retired as a Traffic Division Sergeant on March 17, 1990.
He was a member of the Seattle Police Motorcycle Drill team for many years.
After retirement he served as Court Security Officer at the Federal Courthouse in Seattle.
There will be a celebration of Dean's life on Friday, November 10, 2000, 2 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 14514 - 20th Avenue N. E., Shoreline, WA.
His larger than life presence will be missed, and God chose All Saints Day to take him home.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, or to the Lake Chelan Lutheran Church Building Fund. (Obit dated 11/07/2000.)
Leo H. NEALEN
Age 84, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2000 of natural causes at St. Joseph Care Center, Spokane.
Mr. Nealen was born May 22, 1916 in Lyons, Oregon to Peter J. and Anna P. (Bentz) Nealen.
Leo grew up mainly in Spokane, WA. and graduated from Gonzaga University (then college) in May, 1941.
On June 2 of the same year, he married
Bernardine F. Crowley (of Wallace, ID.), in Spokane.
From 1961 until his retirement in 1980, Leo worked in internal insurance for Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle, where his wife died in December of 1974.
Between 1982 and his death, Leo lived his retirement years in Spokane.
Gardening, woodcrafts and enjoying his grandchildren were his special interests.
Leo leaves behind three children and their families, Michael J. and Mary Lou Nealen of Spokane, Curtis L. and Anne Nealen, with children, Peter Leo and Sarah Elizabeth of Sunnyside, WA., and Sr. Mary Kaye Nealen, S.P. of Great Falls, MT. Leo's sister, Marie Reagan, resides in Seattle.
Vigil Service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2000, 7 p.m. at Hennessey Smith Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 8, 2000 at 9:30 a.m. at Mt. St. Joseph, 12 W. 9th Avenue, Reverend Edmund Robinson, S.J., Celebrant.
