Edna Dorothy MORAN
Edna Dorothy Moran, age 80, of Seattle, passed away suddenly in her sleep November 12, 2001. Born in Spokane, WA. to Arthur E. Day and Effie Eula Birdwell Day on August 2, 1921. Edna was married
twice. Her children's fathers were Alfred G. Schlien and Merle H. Moran both deceased. She raised five children who will deeply miss her. Edna was a loving mother and homemaker. Then went to work at Nordstroms and retired after 10 years in 1986. She is survived by her five children, Donald L. Moran, Robert V. Moran, wife Sharon, Terry D. Moran, Cheri L. Moran and Merlene G. Cobb, husband Kent; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Edna was the eldest of 12 children and is survived by her siblings, four brothers Arthur Day, Jerry Day, Loren Day, Paul Day, and six sisters, Dolly Dunn, Dolores McDaniel, Shirley Mutchler, Leona Pease, Lillian Day, Pauline Roberts, and numerous nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by sister Margaret Enos, granddaughter Kimmera L. Moran, and nephew Allen Day. Edna was always playing the piano and singing at family gatherings, she again was able to entertain her friends at the Shoreline Senior Center where she sang and played the piano three days a week. There will be a Memorial Service at Bleitz Funeral Home, 316 Florentia St., Seattle, WA. November 26, 2001 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made to Ronald Methodist Church Shoreline Senior Adult Day Health Program, 17839 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle, WA. 98133 in her name, or your favorite charity. Alfredo MUNGUIA
Alfredo MUNGUIA, 73, died November 18, 2001, at Providence Hospital in Seattle, Wash. of pneumonia. Born Feb. 17, 1928 to Sensario Truan and Alfredo Munguia, in Kingsville, Texas, he was raised in Austin, Texas. He began service in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1946. it was while he was in service that he moved to the Seattle area. He was a meat cutter for 20 years and self-employed in the trade for 15 years until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed life and everyone he met. We will miss his big smile and generous heart. A handsome man, as beautiful on the inside as out, he was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all. Survivors include two sisters, Alice Jimenez and Audie Wagnor; his three children Mary Pat Bowman, Allan Munguia and Joseph Munguia. His oldest son Robert Munguia preceded him in death. Services will be held at Forest Lawn cemetery Dec. 1, at 1 p.m., Reception to follow at West Seattle Eagles.
Irma NELSON
Irma NELSON, 86, longtime resident of Wedgwood area died November 19, 2001 in Olympia, Washington. She was born October 13, 1915 in Victoria, B.C. Canada, one of eight children. Irma was raised in Port Angeles, Washington where she met the love of her life Don Nelson at a dance. Irma was active in the Legion of Mary and attended Blessed Sacrament Church for many years. Irma was very devoted to her family. She is survived by her son: Steve (Christina) Nelson of Olympia, and daughter: Sandi (John) Hempelmann of Bainbridge Island. Six grandchildren: Bryan, Kimberly and Kelly Nelson, Victoria Harbottle, Jennifer and Ashley Hempelmann. Great-granddaughter Josephine. Brother and sisters: Gerrie VanLoan, Rose Grey, Tony DelMastro, and Doris Sheler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Donald, August 23, 2001. Ruth Evelyn NIBLER
Age 95, born in Denver, Colorado August 6, 1906.
Relocated to Seattle at an early age. Attended Broadway High School.
Operated St. Francis Beauty Shop on Capitol Hill until 1947 when she remarried
and moved to Boise, Idaho.
She and her husband Victor L. Nibler worked his ranch until 1997 when ill health of both brought them back to Seattle.
Ruth spent her last four years at Pacific Regency Nursing Home until she passed away November 19, 2001.
She is survived by her son, James John, Jr. and his wife Mary Louise, in addition to her grandchildren, Steven John, and Teresa McBarron, who have five great grandchildren.
Her strength of character and her generous heart will be greatly missed.
Ruth will be interred at Acacia Memorial Park.
Memorial services will be for immediate family only.
Joseph Henry O'DONNELL
Born April 25, 1921, in Woburn, Mass. passed away November 13, 2001.
preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Marie Elizabeth.
Survived by his five sons Joe, Rick, Bob, Mike and Pat, 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Also survived by his sister Winifred, brothers John and James in Massachusetts.

Donald OLIVER
Age 57, passed away Nov. 14, 2001. Survived by daughters DeAnn (Andrew) Weber and Christine (Eric) Wooden, parents Robert Oliver and Millie Oliver, brother Ken Oliver and sister Bobbie Ellerbeck.
Don was employed as a machinist during his working years.
He and his deceased wife Nancy were members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

Jeannette Katherine OLSON
Age 70, passed away November 16. She was born in Enumclaw and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1949.
Shortly after, while in Manchester, Washington, she met her future husband Ken and they were married
in March 1951. Jeannette and Ken were both best friends and business partners, running a Dry Cleaning company for over 30 years in West Seattle, where they were well-known in the local community. Jeannette was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all of her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband Ken; mother Mable Carter; brother Jim Carter; sister Dorothy Smith; sons Kenneth (Debbie), Keith (Jodi), and Kevin (Maria); grandchildren Trey (Alanna), Kirsten, Nicole, Ana, Kyle, Heather and James; great-grandchildren Brady, Samantha, Henry, Amelia and Brooke. Martin L. ORIET
Martin L. ORIET, 64, passed away November 20, 2001.
Martin was born June 2, 1937 in Great Falls, Montana, and has been a long time resident of this area.
Martin was preceded in death by two brothers, Leauard and Clarence, and is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie of 43 years; three sisters, Marguerite Leckliter, Zita Morgan, Miriam Witt; two brothers, Vincent, Eugene, and a host of other family and friends.
At Martin's request there will be no services.
Interment will be at Tahoma National cemetery.

BELOVED HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER & GREAT-GRANDFATHER Orville was born in Buckley to Matthew and Ingeborg Ose. He graduated from Buckley High School and was a 1934 Business Administration Graduate of the University of Washington. He was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, a national accounting society. He worked at Victor's Seafood before joining Nalley's Fine Foods where he worked for 32 years. He served as Vice President of Operations at Nalley's Oregon division, and Treasurer, Vice President of Finance and board member at corporate headquarters in Tacoma. After leaving Nalley's he took a position at Cablecraft. He served as an officer or director of several business and civic organizations including Junior Achievement, United Good Neighbors, the Tacoma Better Business Bureau and Seattle's Financial Executives Institute. He was a lifelong fan and supporter of Husky football, basketball, crew and the alumni association. He was an old-timer at Elk Lodge #174, a member of the Washington Athletic Club and Mason Methodist Church. Although he was a successful businessman, he was also a loving and devoted family man. He is survived by Mildred, his wife of 62 years, and children Linda Rogers (Doug) of Sidney Nebraska; Karen McCracken (Tom) of Seattle; Gregg Ose (Margaret) of Medina; and Beth Barkley (Ken) of Bellingham. Grandchildren are Kristina, Jason (Lori), Colin (Maria), Brian, Kevin, Brendan, Ryan, Amanda and Alexander. His great-grandson Matthew Peter held a special place in his heart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families in the Puget Sound area and numerous cousins in Norway. Private services were held in Gig Harbor. Loving husband, father and grandfather. Bob was born on May 10, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois. He died on November 19, 2001 in Seattle, Washington. Bob was a district manager for Anchor Packing Company and retired after 25 years of service. Bob was an avid golfer. He loved traveling. He is survived by his wife Virginia, his love for over 61 1/2 years, daughter Sandra Ellingsen and husband Dennis, Douglas Ostergaard and wife Dodi, Greg Ostergaard and wife Laurie, grandchildren Aaron, Katy, Trina, Elissa, Samantha, Beth, Carl, Peter, Bennett, Levena, and one great grandchild on the way. Born in Stockton, Kansas on December 21, 1922. Died on November 19, 2001. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Donald Plumb, two brothers Harold and Edgar Simons and a sister, Bertha Sherbon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Vera was a long standing resident of Beacon Hill in Seattle. She was a well respected Music and English teacher with many talents and was loved and respected by her family and her many friends.
