Charles W. WASHBURN
passed away on November 22, 2001. Wonderful loving husband of Garnet L. Washburn for 52 years. Father of JoAnn W. Huff and husband, Neil of Sitka, Alaska, and Robert C. Washburn and wife Janet of Seattle, WA. Grandfather of George and Erynn Huff, and Rose and Carly Washburn. Charles served in World War II from 1942 to 1945. His active service was aboard the battleship U.S.S. Missouri. He was an accountant with Ford Motor Company for 41 years. During his retirement he remained active working in his son's business. He was a member of the Fauntleroy Church U.C.C. and Fauntleroy Y.M.C.A. He will be remembered for his beautiful singing voice, his laughter and his zest for life. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 19th at 3 p.m. at the Fauntleroy Church U.C.C., 9260 - California Ave. S.W., Seattle, WA. 98136. Wilma Avis WECKWERTH
Wilma was born in Wenatchee, WA. on January 5, 1916 and died after a battle with cancer in Bellevue, WA. on November 20, 2001. Wilma was a Rosie Riviter in World War II. She was an avid world traveler and her trips included downhill skiing, water skiing, wind surfing and many adventures. Wilma started Ski Masters Ski School which is a legacy that lives on today. preceded in death by her husband Roy, she is survived by her daughter Jan and many loving family members. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue. Ralph Edward WELLER

Survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn; sons, Richard (Sharon) and Jeffery (Edye); brother, Arthur; sister, Mary Stroh; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Margaret Crapo WHERLAND
Margaret Crapo Wherland, beloved wife and mother, passed away November 21, 2001. She was born May 15, 1915 in Sandy Utah, the daughter of Archibald Crapo and Alicia Goff Crapo. Educated in Utah, she married
Edward James Wherland on January 30, 1942 in Salt Lake. After the war she and Ed moved to Seattle where she spent the rest of her life. Margaret loved traveling, was a fastidious homemaker and an avid gardener; worked as a secretary and bookkeeper, and was active in the Seattle Milk Fund. She is survived by her husband Ed, her brother Charles Crapo of Scottsdale, Arizona, her son Scot and his wife Lea, and granddaughters Sharon and Ruty of Pullman.
Andrew P. WICK
Born in Seattle, February 11, 1920, he died peacefully in his sleep November 9, after a long battle with emphysema. Andrew was President of Wick Construction Company and a friend to hundreds. Born to Andrew and Petra Wick, he was an athlete and class president at Granite Falls High. After attending the University of Washington, he served in Europe during WWII in the Army Corps of Engineers. Andrew was prominent in the construction business for 50 years. The company he co-founded completed over 500 projects in Washington, Idaho and Alaska. Over 100 schools were built from elementary level through high school, as were many university buildings such as the Fairhaven complex at WWSU in Bellingham. A short list of numerous other commercial projects built would include such large jobs as The Norse Home and Hearthstone Retirement Communities, Southcenter Mall, and a few small but memorable projects such as the primate center at the Woodland Park Zoo ("Bobo's Cage"). Andrew served as president of many business and community organizations: the Seattle Post of the Military Engineers in 1955; the local chapter of the Associated General Contractors in 1959; Overlake Golf & Country Club in 1968; and the Bellevue Boys Club Board of Directors in the late six ties. He was also on the board of the Learning Tree Montessori School for over 20 years. Andy was certainly not all work and no play! He had Husky season tickets for over 50 years, and he loved golf in the Northwest and his retirement home in Palm Springs, making at least one hole in one! He made fishing trips to Alaska every year, often in conjunction with construction projects. Boating up the inland passage with Andy at the helm of his Chris Craft was an oft-repeated activity his children and grandchildren treasured. He enjoyed cruising on the Princess Cruise Lines with his first wife and their many friends. Although his health became more fragile in recent years, his enthusiasm for life did not, and he was alert and active until the end. Andy is survived by three children, Christine, Laurie and Paul Wick all of the Seattle area and three granddaughters, Carrie Ross, Zoe Wick and Amanda Wick. His first wife of 47 years, Marion, passed away on May 21, 1992. He is also survived by his second wife, Ruby Willard Wick of Mercer Is land, and his two sisters, Thelma King of Port Angeles and Gladys Henry of Mukilteo. Andy's family has been graced by his loving generosity of spirit. He was tolerant of differences and embracing of all in his affinity for family, friends and community. Remembrances can be made to the Learning Tree Scholarship Fund, 1721 15th Ave Seattle WA 98122. Private graveside services were held on Thursday, November 15 at Evergreen Washelli cemetery. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 2 at St. Thom as Episcopal Church at 1:00 p.m. in Medina. A reception at Overlake Golf and Country Club will follow the service.
Gregory L. WILLIAMS
Gregory L. Williams died on November 19, 2001 after a long illness. He was born on September 21, 1952. Greg is survived by his wife, Delcie, three sons, Cyrus (Ray), Jason and Joseph, a daughter, Danielle, and six grandchildren. Greg has two brothers, David and John Williams, three sisters, Nancy Hardin, Susan Seldon and Sheila Carriveau, and his mother Jeanne Williams. Greg enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved the time he was able to spend with his wife and his mother at the ocean. He will be missed dearly. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, November 23rd at 1 p.m. at Magnolia First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2415 - 31st St. W., Seattle, WA. 98199. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that any gifts or donations be made to the Evergreen Hospice, 12822 - 124th Lane N.E., Kirkland, WA. 98034. Roger WILLIAMS
Of Kirkland, Washington died November 17, 2001 at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. He was 74. Roger was born on January 14, 1927 in Arcadia, Kansas to Man and Ida Belle Williams. He graduated from the Arcadia High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army during W.W. II and later volunteered for the Paratroops (82nd Airborne). After receiving his discharge from the Military, he went to Wichita, Kansas where he worked for The Boeing Company. On May 27, 1949 he married
Irene Buchanan. They later moved to Kirkland where he worked for the Boeing-Everett Division. He retired in 1989 after working for the Company for 42 years. He was a member of the Overlake Christian Church in Redmond, Washington and the American Legion Post No. 0110 of Arcadia, Kansas. He is survived by his wife Irene, son Craig and his wife, Joann, and their children, Bridget and Eli, all of Kirkland; one brother, Charles J. Williams, a niece and nephew, Debbie Sales and Michael J. Williams, all of Wichita, Kansas, and several cousins. His father and mother preceded him in death. A Funeral will be held at the Konantz Cheney Funeral Home in Fort Scott, Kansas at 1 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2001. Burial will be in the National cemetery in Fort Scott. A Memorial Service will be held at Overlake Christian Church, Redmond, WA. at 4 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2001. Peter F. WOECK
1911 - 2001
Peter, a lifelong Seattle resident passed away at his West Seattle home on November 13, 2001. Peter is survived by his wife Nola, sons Richard and Peter II, daughter Shirley Gillespie, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Peter started his career as a young teenager, salmon fishing on the Washington Coast. He then became an electrical engineer and then drilled in for an oil well in Eastern Washington. He purchased a fuel/stoker business in West Seattle. During W.W. II he served as head of the director's shop at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard. Afterwards he went into the boatbuilding business which grew to 13 different marine-related business in the Seattle area. During this time Peter was very involved with the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine, becoming Potentate of Nile Temple in 1982. A Memorial Service for Peter Woeck will be offered Friday, November 30 at 2 p.m. at the Nile Country Club, 6601 - 244th Street S.W., Mountlake Terrace, WA. Patricia Louise (Maus) WUNDERS
Patricia L. Wunders, 74, of Everett, died November 17, 2001 with her children at her side after a long battle with emphysema. Patricia was born in Seattle on January 21, 1927 and was a long time resident of Snohomish and King counties. Patricia had a long and distinguished career in the Insurance industry, both in Seattle, and in Southern California. After retiring from Allstate Insurance in 1989, she and her husband John moved back to the Northwest to spend their retirement years with their families. Patricia loved to dance and had a passion for square dancing and round dancing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her. Patricia is survived by her children James Maus and wife Laurie of Lakewood, David Maus of Everett, Dan Maus and wife Sandy of Everett, Susan Maus of Everett; her sister Connie and husband Lloyd of San Diego; and her loving grandchildren Amanda, Jeanette, Erik, Jairus, Kilie, Elizabeth, Bradley, Ashley and Amy. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband John. At her request, there will be no services. A "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held at a later date. Private internment will be at Evergreen Mausoleum in Everett. The family would like to acknowledge the kind care provided by the nurses and doctors at Providence Everett Medical Center in her final days.
