Marcella Mary 'Sally' KRAMER
Sally was born on January 20, 1917, in Fort Jennings, Ohio, and passed away peacefully on July 24, 2002, in Bellevue at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Ambrose (Al), in 1989. She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Elling) Anderson of Kirkland, son Jim (Samantha) of Federal Way, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons. The 7th of 12 children, she is also survived by her brother Julian Wurst (Ohio), sisters Celesta Shea (Florida) and Jane Hunyor (Ohio) and a large extended family. She served in the U. S. Navy at Terminal Island, CA during World War II and later worked as a bookkeeper for Rosellini's Restaurants and Woodcrest Estates Homeowners Assn. She lived in the Seattle area 55 years and enjoyed gardening, sewing and all types of needlework, especially hardanger. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at 11 a.m. at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10051 N. E. 195th, Bothell. Interment, Holyrood cemetery. Norman Wayne LAKE
passed away July 28, 2002 due to a long battle with leukemia.
Worked for Boeing 38 years and he loved flying.
Survived by wife of 49 years, MaryJane Lake; two daughters Rosamund Spencer and Anita Macomb; son Douglas Lake; foster daughter Debbie Susdorf; one brother Everett Lake; one sister Juanita Anstine; seven granddaughters and 10 great grandchildren.

Judith I. Larson, 72, died July 31, 2002 at home. She was born in North Dakota and had lived in Des Moines the past 46 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Larson. Survivors include her daughters, Denise Slocum and Christi Hall; grandchildren, Benjamin Hall, Jacob Hall and Deanna Slocum; brothers, William, Archie, and Herman; sisters, Edith and Sylvia. Lori Patricia LEONARD
Died July 26, 2002, after an extended illness. Even in ill health, she was a loving, caring woman, with a great, offbeat sense of humor. Born in Seattle on March 19, 1959, she attended Shoreline schools, graduated from Seattle University with a nursing degree, and then practiced as a nurse as long as health permitted. She is survived by her beloved daughter Patricia Nicole Vukonich, known by all Lori's friends, as "the center of the known universe". She is also survived by her mother Roberta Leonard, father Edward Leonard, and his wife Leona, brother Casey Leonard, and her niece and nephew, Angelica and Tanner-James Leonard. In addition, Lori had a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins with whom she was very close, and a number of close friends that include Dan Vukonich, Patricia's father. Funeral Services will be at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave. N. on Wednesday, July 31, at 12 noon. Remembrances to the charity of your choice appreciated.

Margaret M. LIAN, 62, passed away July 30, 2002 in Seattle. She was born October 26, 1939 in Vancouver, B.C., the daughter of Joseph and Ruth McIvor. Margaret is survived by her husband of 42 years Roy Lian; son Jim Lian; daughters Colleen (Greg) Maxwell, Bonnie (Andrew) Baker, and Susan Barringer; mother Ruth Johnston; and 9 grandchildren. Josephine LINDOW
Beloved Mother and Friend, Josephine Lindow, age 76, left us on July 14, 2002, after a courageous battle against breast cancer. Both family and friends are very proud of her. She brought laughter, warmth, and kindness to those who were lucky enough to have known her. Her sense of adventure, fondness for travel, and smile will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son, Christopher Carl, and her daughter, Leslie-Anne. Robert Kenneth LOWE
Robert (Bob) K. Lowe, 88, a Mercer Island resident for 40 years, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 29, 2002 in Seattle, Washing ton in the loving presence of his family. His wife and constant companion Ellen McBride Lowe was by his side. He was born September 24, 1913 in Houston, Texas. Bob earned his B.A. at UCLA and his Masters in Social Work at the University of Washington. He was the first director of the Crisis Clinic in 1963. The remainder of his professional life was in private practice as a psychiatric social worker for 30 years. After his formal retirement, he was an active volunteer in Hospice Northwest and the Division of Aging in Kent. He was very active throughout his life as a swimmer, hiker and jogger. He loved the mountains. In 1960 he married
Laura Richards, a social worker who preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons from his marriage to Merelyn Ballard of Seattle, Donovan Lowe of Anchorage, Alaska and Kenneth R. Lowe of Ellensburg, Washington, five grandchildren, Brian, Stephanie, Alexander, Christopher, and Ryan and three great-grandchildren Henry, Dylan and Ethan. Services will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, Au gust 6 at the East Shore Unitarian Church at 12700 S.E. 32nd Street in Bellevue. A short reception will follow. Mary E. LYDUM
Was born to Robert H. and Edna R. (McCaughan) Rasmussen May 9, 1938, in Seattle; died July 27, 2002, in Seattle. Loving mother of Chip (Cynthia), Lisa, Michael (Renae) and Laurie. Mary had seven grandchildren, Drew (deceased), Brynn, Darcy, Elena, Kenny, Michael and Grace. Also survived by her brothers, Terry (Ann), Jerry (Marsha) and John (Lisa) Rasmussen; and many relatives and friends. Mary was a life-long resident of Seattle who was raised in Queen Anne and Magnolia, graduating from Holy Names Academy. She loved every day of her 35-year career working in medical records at Children's Hospital, having recently retired in June 2002. For many years, Mary was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish, where she began singing with the parish choir. She later became the piano player for the 89th Street Deacons, an ensemble men's choir. Her spiritual family was the Immaculate Conception Gospel Choir, where her musical soul found a home through the remainder of her life. Mary was completely devoted to her family, especially her four children. She lived selflessly and gave us perfect love. The family wishes to extend its deepest appreciation to Dr. Mehmet Fer, his staff and the Swedish/Providence Medical Oncology nurses at 3-East, whose caring efforts gave her love and dignity. A vigil/recitation of the Rosary will be held Thursday, August 1, at 8 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 2, at 10 a.m., BOTH at Immaculate Conception Church, 820 18th Avenue, Seattle, WA. Blanche had many passions, among them were gardening, cooking, traveling, dancing, cleaning and watching baseball. She is survived by her two daughters Sharon Stockton & Janice Rusk; grandchildren; Traci Responte, Troy Rusk, & Stephanie Kallberg; great-grandchild Isabella Responte (the light of her life), brothers; Carl Marra, Fred Marra, Sisters; Minnie Hordon and June.
