Gudrun L. MARSHALL
Gudrun L. Marshall "Goody" of 9427 - 21st Ave. S.W., Seattle passed away on July 29, 2002. Goody was born in Glendive, Montana June 20, 1922. Goody is survived by her husband, William L. Marshall and three sons, Gary Cross and wife, Janet of Surprise, Arizona, Mike Marshall and wife Becky of Federal Way, Washington and Jack Marshall and wife, Rhonda Snyder of Lacey, Washington. Goody is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving Goody is her sister Bernice Chapman of Edmonds, Washington. She will be missed and forever loved. The family will receive relatives and friends at a Memorial Gathering to be held at the home of Mike and Becky Marshall, 24804 - 15th Ave. S., Federal Way, WA. on Saturday, August 10, 2002 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Memorials may be given in Goody's name to the charity of your choice.
Lois V. MAXWELL
Lois Maxwell passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 in Sierra Vista, AZ. at the age of 75. Born Lois Virginia Bennett on May 8, 1927, she was a graduate of Renton High School. She married
William Maxwell on August 10, 1945 and supported him through his 45-year career in veterinary medicine. While raising her family in Seattle she was an active volunteer at Children's Hospital, and loved entertaining her many friends and extended family. Later in life she became an avid golfer, and was a member of Santa Rosa Country Club in Palm Desert, CA. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Maxwell of Sunsites, AZ., sons Jim Maxwell of Tacoma, Jeff Maxwell of Seattle, daughters-in-law Lynn Maxwell and Ethel Maxwell, grandchildren Mark, Christine, Ryan, Scott and Kate Maxwell, sister Ellen Bailey of Federal Way, and adopted son Carlos Botero of Kent. Her son Gary Maxwell preceded her in death in 1996. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Laurelhurst at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Age 71, of Auburn, born September 22, 1930, passed away July 29, 2002. Alan was raised in Yakima, Washington and spent five years traveling the world with the Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. Alan retired from Totem Electric after 30 years of service with the IBEW Local 46. Alan married

Retired from Boeing as Machinist after 40 years. Member of the Boeing Hawks Remote Control N.W. Air Show Team and was an avid golfer. He won National championship in the Remote Control airplanes in 1971 and 1975. He is survived by two sons Larry of Hawaii, and Mike of Arizona by first wife Alice; his wife Carol; several grandchildren, two sisters Yvonne and Jobina, and many nieces and nephews. Daughter of Wilfred and Mary Miller. Member of Turtle Mountain Chippiwa, ND. Born in West Seattle, raised in Auburn. Lived at Cottage Lake, Woodinville, and resided in Carnation since 1981. Survived by her husband, Michael Finley; sister Ellen Casey; son Wesley Coulter, daughter Kirsche Mglemre; granddaughters Eva, Kathleen and Catalina Paloma and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. Her greatest loves were her family and friends, her appreciation of nature and her daily birdwatching forays in and around the Snoqualmie Valley. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mae D. MITCHELL
Beloved mom and grandma, passed away July 27, 2002. Born May 11, 1918 in Bow, WA, she graduated from West Seattle High School in 1936. Mae then attended business school and became the secretary to master gardener, Cecile Sallie. In 1942, she married
John D. Mitchell and they had two sons, Jim and Tom. Mae was very active with the Tyee Yacht Club, in which she was past parliamentarian for the Women's Inner Club. She was also involved with the Seattle School Veteran Employees' Assn. and Magnolia United Methodist Church. preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2000; also brothers, Melvin and William Dennis and sister, Bonnie Burrus. Survived by her sons, James D. Mitchell and Thomas W. (Linda) Mitchell; grandchildren, Alison Caputo, Emily Mitchell, Graham Mitchell and Lars Ensign. Sadako Tsutakawa MORIGUCHI
Born October 16, 1907 passed away peacefully on July 25, 2002 at the age of 94. Born in Seattle, where she spent her early years and went to Japan for her formal education. She returned to Seattle in 1931 and married
Fujimatsu Moriguchi on October 20, 1932 in Tacoma, WA. Together, they ran a small business called Uwajimaya. In 1942, the family was interned at Tule Lake, California. After the war they moved to Seattle and started the Uwajimaya grocery store once again and raised their seven children. Sadako worked at the store until the age of 85. She loved to travel, attend the Seattle Symphony, and gather with her family. She was in the Seattle Keiro Nursing home for many years where she received excellent care. She was preceded in death by husband Fujimatsu Moriguchi, sister Tomoko Nakanishi, and brothers Takeo Tsutakawa and George Tsutakawa. She is survived by sisters Sumiko Oki (Japan) and Kazuko Yamashita (Japan); children: Kenzo (Carol) Moriguchi, Suwako (James) Maeda, Tomio Moriguchi, Akira (Kimberly) Moriguchi, Hisako (Harvey) Nakaya, Toshi (Susie) Moriguchi and Tomoko (Koji) Matsuno; grandchildren: Jamie Maeda, Michael (Renee) Moriguchi, Tammie (Ken) Louie, Kevin Moriguchi, Amy (Hiroshi) Hibi, Traci Moriguchi, Lena Moriguchi, Lisa Moriguchi, Kristi (Dilip) Bala, Tyler Moriguchi, Jason Nakaya, Mineko Matsuno, Shelley Nakaya, Denise Moriguchi, Lia Moriguchi, Mayumi Matsuno, Miye Moriguchi, Sarah Moriguchi, Hanah Moriguchi, Jonathan Gilderhus; great-grandchildren: Kenlyn, Kristin, Lauren and Taryn Louie, Jay Bala and Nicole Hibi; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Age 103 years; born April 23, 1899 in Portland, OR. to Phillip and Naomi (Baronofsky) Nudelman; died in Seattle, WA July 31, 2002. Mrs. Moss lived in Seattle, WA for over 75 years and retired as a private secretary with the Union Pacific Railroad. She was a long time member of Temple De Hirsch Sinai. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Moss in 1958; brothers, Harry and Charles Nudelman; sisters, Florence Delman, Laura Steinburg, Nettie Kamusher and Rae Silver; and niece, Marion Klegman. Irene NAGY
Of Bellevue, passed away peacefully after a short bout with cancer. Over the years, she fought a variety of illnesses with courage. She was born in Csepel, Hungary and immigrated to the U.S. in 1950. She will be surely missed by her family and friends. She is survived by daughters, Ildiko Bradley and Emoke Rock; grandchildren, Greg Cooper, Sharman Howard, Peter Bradley, and Sarah Bradley; and six great grandchildren. Roy Edward NEAL
passed away peacefully on July 23, 2002 at the age of 82. Present at his passing were his wife Mary, son Dave, daughters Cindy, Shelly and Molly, his sister Gale, and 11 of 18 grandchildren. Roy was born in Thomasville, MO. on July 22, 1920. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Aleutian Islands, af ter working at the Lake Washington Shipyard. He married
Mary Caldwell in St. Louis, MO. on Sept. 22, 1946 and made his home in Kirk land, WA., working 38 years for Softky Bros. Radiator Specialists in Seattle. Roy enjoyed his time hunting, fishing, reading and gardening. He also was a member of the Puget Sound Beekeepers Association. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Dave Neal of Redmond, daughters Cindy McComb of Woodinville, Shelly Luerding of Lake St. Louis, MO., Molly Wing of Redmond, and their spouses. He also leaves behind one sister, two brothers, eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 29, 2002, 1:30 p.m. at Overlake Christian Church, 9900 Willows Road, Redmond, WA., in the chapel. Max C. NELLANS
Born January 27, 1915 in Mentone, Indiana; died July 29, 2002 at Emerald Heights Retirement Center, Redmond, Washington. After acquiring his B.S. in Business at Indiana University, Max joined the family business, which included operating a poultry hatchery, a large egg-producing operation, extensive producing and marketing of livestock and the tilling of 2000 acres of grain. Max's hobbies during these years were fly-fishing and playing bridge. After Max retired at 59, he acquired a new hobby and became a lapidarist. He created many beautiful gems to the delight of his friends. He continued his bridge on a higher level of duplicate and participated in regional bridge tournaments in Florida. Max is survived by his wife Georgia, of 61 years; son, Dr. Roger (Diane) Nellans of Bellevue; granddaughter, Kimberly Nellans, Seattle; grandson Jeffrey Nellans, Seattle; brother Dale (Rosellyn) Nellans, Warsaw, Indiana and nieces Sue Guiff and Marcia Nellans, both of Warsaw, Indiana. A sister, Helen Spitler preceded him in death. Max and Georgia became residents at Emerald Heights Retirement Center soon after its opening in late 1992. Remembrances may be made to the Emerald Heights Benevolence Fund. At his request, no services will be held.
