Raymond Fenster
Raymond Fenster died Aug. 12, 2000, at his home in Auburn. He was 93.
Born March 6, 1907, in Larson, N.D., he lived in Auburn for nearly 65 years.
Mr. Fenster retired in 1969 from his longtime career as a Boeing aircraft mechanic. He was a member of the White River Presbyterian Church in Auburn.
He is survived by his wife, Irene of Auburn; daughters Janice Fenster of Auburn, Lynn Wheeler of Sumner and Jo Ann Dietman of Normandy Park; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the White River Presbyterian Church in Auburn.

Gary J. Parker
Gary Joe Parker of Auburn died Aug. 9, 2000, at Highline Community Hospital in Burien. He was 44.
Born Dec. 18, 1955, in Forks, Mr. Parker was a lifelong resident of Auburn.
He was a storekeeper and worked for The Boeing Co. for more than 20 years. He enjoyed football, hydroplane racing, monster trucks and all sports.
Mr. Parker is survived by his son Kyle Parker of Puyallup; father Gary Parker of Kent; brother James Parker of Maple Valley; sister Dixie Toy of Auburn; and grandmothers Ethel Whitehead of Forks and Una Parker of Sedro Woolley.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Marlatt Funeral Home in Kent.

Lillie F. Michaelis Bichov
Longtime Auburn resident Lillie Fay Michaelis Bichov died Aug. 9, 2000, in Auburn. She was 90.
Born June 3, 1910, in O'Neill, Neb., she was a resident of Auburn for 60 years.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church in Auburn. She enjoyed traveling and Mariners baseball.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Smith of Longview; brother Wilfred Goodfellow of Auburn; sister Doris Mounts of Auburn; five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
There will be a private service for the family. Inurnment will be at Mountain View cemetery in Auburn.

Nancy Eileen Jarrard of Auburn died Aug. 9, 2000, in Seattle. She was 39.
Born Oct. 27, 1960, in San Diego, she was a student and lived in the South County area for 11 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Coral Williams, of Auburn; father, Selden John Martin, of Escondido, Calif.; mother, Jean Lee, of Cave Junction, Ore.; brothers Scott Martin of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Johnathon White of Redding, Calif.; sisters Debra Cleary of Cave Junction and Stephanie Finman of Staten Island, N.Y.; half-brothers Donald Martin, Roger Martin and Astrid Martin; half-sister, Susan Martin; and a grandson.
A funeral will be at 4 p.m. today at Price-Helton Funeral Chapel in Auburn. Burial will be Monday at Mountain View cemetery in Auburn.
Carolyn C. Gunter
Carolyn Carlee Gunter of Auburn died Aug. 8, 2000, in Auburn. She was 60.
Born Nov. 2, 1939, in Hartville, Mo., she graduated from Franklin High School in 1957 and married
Joseph Karl Gunter in Seattle on Dec. 6, 1958. She moved from Seattle to Kent in 1958 and to Auburn in 1987.
Mrs. Gunter was a homemaker, a rockhound and raised African Violets. She enjoyed league bowling at Lewis & Clark Bowl in SeaTac.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph 'Bill' Gunter, of Auburn; sons Clifford R. Gunter of Auburn and Joseph K. Gunter Jr. of Graham; daughters Mary C. Pimentel and Kathleen J. Leikam, both of Auburn; brothers Dale Dugger of Burgess Junction, Wyo., and Bill Dugger of Eatonville; sister, Sharon Sue Teague, of Sapulpa, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at Edline-Yahn Funeral Chapel in Kent. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Parish in Kent. Burial will be at Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent.

Bonnetta A. Wirkman
Renton resident Bonnetta Alice 'Bunnie' Wirkman died Aug. 8, 2000, in Renton. She was 88.
Born April 17, 1912, in Warwick, N.D., she moved from Seattle to Renton in 1954.
Mrs. Wirkman worked as a retail clerk at Sears, Roebuck and Co. and other variety stores until 1954. She was a past member of the Renton Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 1722 and enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles and watching Sonics basketball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Wirkman, in 1976. She is survived by her son, Warren Wirkman, of Chancler, Ariz.; daughters Sandra Hyde and Heather Robinson, both of Renton; brother, Bud Hurlbut, of Seattle; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held.
Memorials may be made to the Renton Fire Department Aid Unit.

Dorothy B. Whistler
Dorothy Beall Whistler of Renton died Aug. 9, 2000, in Renton. She was 91.
Born Sept. 3, 1908, in Indianapolis, she lived in the South County area for five years.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Renton. She was active in the Garden Club and often attended Renton Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed singing, playing bridge, traveling, flower gardening and visiting shopping malls.
She is survived by her son, Art Whistler, of Honolulu; daughter, Patricia Ann Kerr, of Kent; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
No service will be held, at the request of the family.

Stanley M. Olson
Stanley M. Olson of Renton died Aug. 4, 2000, at Kelsey Creek Hospice Center in Bellevue. He was 87.
Born April 18, 1913, in Litchfield, Minn., he had lived in Renton since 1949.
Mr. Olson retired from his work as a machinist at The Boeing Co. in 1978. He was a lifetime member of the Masons. He enjoyed his two cats, traveling and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgie Olson; and a son, Martin Olson. He is survived by his wife, Ann Grinolds Olson; three children; and six stepchildren.
At his request no service will be held.
Memorials may be made to Kelsey Creek Hospice Center.

Richard S. Ducharme
Richard Sean Ducharme of Maple Valley died Aug. 7, 2000, in Maple Valley. He was 28.
Born May 2, 1972, in Torrance Calif., he graduated in 1990 from West High School in Torrance, Calif. He lived in Maple Valley since May.
Mr. Ducharme worked as a welder at Genie Industries. He enjoyed cooking, target shooting, camping, fishing and motorcycle riding.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Candace Ducharme, of Maple Valley; a sister, Kelly Nave, of Kirkland; and his grandfather, William Dobbert, of Grants Pass, Ore.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Greenwood Funeral Home in Renton.

Patti Meeks
Patti Meeks of Renton died Aug. 7, 2000, in Enumclaw. She was 48.
Born June 7, 1952, in Los Angeles, she graduated from Butte College in Chico, Calif., as a licensed practical nurse and married
Bill Meeks on April 30, 1989, in Renton. She lived in the South County area for 24 years.
Mrs. Meeks worked as a nurse at Valley Medical Center in Renton for 20 years before retiring in 1996 to travel. She enjoyed camping, kite flying, hiking, traveling by motorhome, collecting hummingbirds and being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Lawrence, in 1999. She is survived by her husband, Bill Meeks, of Renton; a son, Jeff Meeks, of Woodinville; a daughter, Michelle Meeks, of Federal Way; sisters Sherry Milhorn of Payette, Idaho, and Linda Snodgrass and Sally Lawrence, both of Chico, Calif.; grandmother, Pearl Gholson, of Pocatello, Idaho; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Marlatt Funeral Home in Kent.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
William Sato Jr.
William Sato Jr. of Kent died Aug. 3, 2000, in Auburn. He was 74.
Born Jan. 2, 1926, in Cordova, Alaska, he lived in the South County area for 19 years.
Mr. Sato retired from his work as a flight instructor at Crest Air Park in Kent.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Sato, of Kent; sons Skar Sato of Kirkland and Will Pierce of Atlanta; daughter, Lois Hunter, of Kaneohe, Hawaii; sister, Mabel Tajima, of Zama, Japan; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Crest Air Park in Kent. Burial was at National Memorial cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.
